10tons is working on a new game! It's called Undead Horde.
The idea is that you slay some living enemies like knights and such, then you raise their dead bodies and they'll join your army. You'll of course repeat this over and over since the living are constanty killing your minions. You'll also find massive amounts of loot which make you and your army more powerful.
Your dream as an up-and-coming necromancer is to conquer back the lands of your undead ancestors and prove that you should be the Undead King!

Troopers of Crimsonland!
We are finalizing our next game, Tesla vs Lovecraft, for release in early 2018. January, if nothing nasty surprises us on the last strech!
Tesla vs Lovecraft is a top-down arena shooter with many similarities to Crimsonland. Lots of guns, perks, and powerups, hideous monsters, a Tesla-Mech battle robot, all rendered in the most advanced 3D we've ever created.
Please check the game out and add it to your wishlist! We're planning a special loyalty discount for Crimsonland owners during launch period. Stay tuned!

We're preparing a HUGE Crimsonland update 1.3.0 with 10 new levels and a new survival mode. It's currently in beta, but once this new version is officially available...
ARMAGEDDON WILL BE UNLEASHED ON THE LEADERBOARDS
..so that we'll have a fresh start. This will happen some time in early 2018. We will of course honor those who gave their lives in 2014-2017. The land would not be so darn crimson if it weren't for you guys. ːouchheadshotː Just thought I should let you know so you can mentally prepare for this.

If you look closely you'll notice a Grim Reaper poster laying on the ground next to a crimson red door.

Follow the Crimsonland Grim Reaper, find the secrets.
What am I talking about? Well JYDGE of course! (Windows, Mac, Linux)
store.steampowered.com/app/654050/JYDGE
Now that JD is out of the door, maybe we'll now be able to start focusing on the next Crimsonland update we've heard so much about?

We JUST launched a new top-down shooter Time Recoil in Steam yesterday. Time Recoil on Steam PS. the next bigger Crimsonland update should come out later this year as well. But before that, try out Time Recoil? :)
[ 2017-08-11 12:18:56 CET ] [ Original post ]
The update is finally here on all three platforms! (C64, Amiga, and Sinclair Spectrum?)
I know it has taken a while, but we are in the midst of developing THREE new top-down-shooters for you guys.
JYDGE is arriving, you know.
Anyway, to recap all the changes in Crimsonland 1.2.3, here's a list:
Perks and XP:
-Perk experience level requirements for level 5 and up have been lowered significantly. This simply means you will get more perks, and you will get more perks even if you get ridiculously high scores.
-Anxious Loader perk is now replaced with new perk Slow Time, High Damage. It doubles the reflex powerup duration and you'll do 10x damage during the slowdown. You will also do 50% more damage all around if you've also got Reflex Boosted perk.
-New perk Bad Blood which slows down enemies and makes them weaker (less HP).
-Removed Veins of Poison perk.
-Ammo Within now shoot FIREBULLETS while you're reloading.
-Ninja now has 50% chance of dodging an attack instead of 33%.
-Man Bomb now makes you explode each time you collect a powerup instead of just standing still for a few seconds.
-Hot Tempered now erupts every 2 to 5 seconds instead of 2 to 10 seconds and shoots firebullets and plasma now.
-Highlander doesn't take damage from Ammo Within.
-Sharpshooter also doesn't slow down reload but you get one extra bullet to your clip instead.
-Instant Winner gives you 5k points or 10% of your total points which ever is the highest.
-Grim Deal now gives you 66% more experience instead of 6%+6%+6%=18%.
-Fatal Lottery now gives you 66k experience points.
-Mr. Melee now does a lot more damage and works even when you have shield enabled. It also makes monsters bleed after being hit.
-Tough Reloader now makes you invulnerable while reloading.
-Breathing Room kills all creatures on screen but takes 99% of your health now. You will also get the experience.
-Lifeline now gives you experience points for the removed creatures.
-Bandage now restores full health.
-Stationary Reloader now boosts reloading speed by 50% and has a chance to freeze the monsters around when you start reloading.
-Fire Cough now activates every 1-3 seconds instead of 2-5 seconds.
-Living Fortress now also reduces the damage you take if you stand still.
-Final Revenge radius is increased 20% and you get all score 2x.
-Fast Shot now shoots bullets even faster.
-More bosses are spawned for VERY long games in survival. Also more bosses were added.
-Lean Mean Exp Machine now gives you more xp based on the time you've played. The perk is also multipickable.
-Pyromaniac now increases flame weapon range A LOT. Also the damage is increased slightly (1.5x -> 1.6x).
-Pyromaniac perk also affects plasma weapons.
-Ion Gun Master damage and radius increased. Damage from 1.3x to 1.5x and radius from 1.3x to 1.4x.
-Jinxed doesn't damage the player anymore. You may see blood stains appearing around the player but no damage is dealt. Instead every 1-2 second a monster dies automatically as long as there are more than 10 monsters alive.
-New perk Cold-blooded added. Each time you take melee damage, everyone around you are frozen. Requires Highland perk.
-Toxic Avenger won the Worst Perk Ever award and is removed completely.
-Plaguebearer boosted: monsters lose resistance to the plague it every 20 seconds.
-Sharpshooter perk now enables you to move camera a bit to the direction you're aiming at.
-Perk Expert now lowers level xp limit by 10% and Perk Master 30% in addition to their other effects.
-Random weapon now lets you pick the random weapon.
-Man Bomb boosts Angry Reloader.
-Pyromaniac boosts Fire Caugh.
-Sharpshooter and Doctor combo gives you 20% extra damage.
-Jinxed has new undisclosed effects on other perks.
Weapon tweaks:
-Blade Gun damage increased 50%.
-Pulse Gun now pushes multiple creatures backwards. Also it instantly gibs creatures with less than 50 points of health or less than 15% of maximum health.
Typo'o'shooter Tweaks:
-The camera now zooms out so you can see even more view than with Eagle Eyes perk.
-Semibosses! Bigger monsters that have 10x more HP. (Can still be one-shotted with point blank shotgun shot.)
-Regular monsters don't one-shot you. (They deal 40 damage per hit and you have 100 at start).
-Your shotgun shoots more projectiles per shot -- making it more likely you hit something at a distance.
-Words don't get so complex so quickly. Three part words are very very rare. (At least with my typing skills :p)
And misc tweaks and bug fixes:
-Added Gameplay options for running the game at 1.5x speed. You can blitzify all game modes now.
-Plasma Overload powerup now does a lot more damage.
-Gauss Minigun clip size is TRIPLED from 8 to 24, fire rate is increased ~15%, and the accuracy slightly decreased.
-Perks shown in highscores now scroll to show all max 16 of them instead of capping at 11.
-Splitter Gun is now more powerful and also makes your firebullets split.
-Regression bullets no longer affect the difficulty: the game will get more difficult even if you shoot your score to zero.
-Frozen monsters take slightly more damage when shot.
-Fixed a few misc bugs.
Let me know what you think!
We'll start brewing the version 1.3.x soon. Rumor has it it has 10 new quest levels and a new survival mode...

The next update beta 1.2.0 with NEW PERKS is almost here!
The focus on this update is making you even more powerful and mighty by:
-Giving you more perks per survival run,
-Boosting some perks, and
-Adding a couple of NEW Perks to replace the ones that nobody seemed to ever pick.
We're also balancing a few weapons (the new Pulse Gun may be even too good with certain perks), and the Typ'o'shooter game mode added in the last big update has also been tweaked quite a bit.
We're currently in doing beta which is now available on three platforms: Windows, Mac, and Linux. It's open for everyone, and if you'd like to participate, just head here for more instructions and complete list of changes:

Greetings. After a healthy long beta, the new version is finally here! Tons of stuff has changed. The biggest single feature is bringing back the classic Typ'o'shooter game mode - with leaderboards, of course. The mode is unlocked if you've completed the quests in normal difficulty. We've also fixed ALL the major complaints about features missing compared to 2003 version. You can now use Telekinesis perk to directly pick up the perks by hovering them with your mouse for a while. The perks are now enabled in quests by default. Spideroids give more experience points. Pulse Gun + Angry Reloader perk is back. + many smaller tweaks. Some of you have requested that we'd add DLCs to the game. More closely, some of you guys wanted to have the old 2003 version of Crimsonland and the game soundtrack as relatively inexpensive DLCs. Sorry to let you down, we're not doing the DLCs... We've added them to the main game FOR FREE! You can now select if you want to play the new (superior) Crimsonland or the old classic 2003 version when you launch the game using Steam. You can listen to the sound track placed in install folder under crimsonland-soundtrack folder. Here's a full list of changes: -Added back the Typ'o'shooter game mode! It will unlock after you play through the quest mode in normal difficulty. -Telekinesis perk now picks up the powerup up after hovering your mouse over it for a second. -Perks are now enabled by default in Quest mode (you can still change the settings in gameplay options). -The old (2003) Crimsonland classic version is included in the install directory. -The soundtrack is included in the game folder under crimsonland-soundtrack. -New D3D9 based renderer is slightly faster and handles resolution change better. -Multimonitor resolution selection should work better now. -Blitz survival mode now starts harder but ramps up slower (all bosses don't come at you almost at once now). -Pulse Gun + Angry Reloader combo works again as Pulse Gun has 3 ammo in all modes except Weapon Picker. You can't reload the weapon. -Spideroids give slightly more experience points. -Spider boss projectiles do proper damage now. -Toxic Avenger now kills bosses as well if you can afford to take one hit. -Fixed (rare) weapon jamming bug that prevented autoreloading your weapon occasionally. -Leaderboards rendering performance improved. (Scrolling down to top 100k rank doesn't cause framerate drops). -Added internal localization support, preparing for possible localizations. Clarification: only English supported in this build. -Steam Cloud is now enabled in all versions. -Main menu has friendly links to our next two games: Neon Chrome and Xenoraid! -Dropping more weapons during the first 60 seconds of survival and blitz game mode runs will enable you to get the weapon you want more likely. -Many many many smaller tweaks. Please note that this update is for the PC version at this point. So there you have it. If someone still thinks that the 2003 has something over this new version, speak up! :) See you at the leaderboards! BTW, I hope it's not too bold to plug our current Greenlight campaigns here as well: Xenoraid - a non-bullet-hell shmup which entered Greenlight last week: Xenoraid Greenlight King Oddball - a weird but addictive little game we made. It needs just a tiny push to get through GL: King Oddball Greenlight Thanks!

Good news: We've updated Crimsonland with Steam Cloud support! The support should be available on all platforms. Let us know if you experience any problems. So, as some of you know, we're working on a new top-down shooter called Neon Chrome. This time we wanted to make the shooting happen indoors and in a cyberpunk world. This means lots of neon lights, cybernetics and that you can demolish a building from the inside out with guns and explosives. I must say it's extremely fun and satisfying already. We've released some material from Neon Chrome lately and we're hoping to go to Greenlight within two months. Meanwhile go to neonchromegame.com to see videos and other material. While you can do that, we'll be working on the game :)

So, if you haven't grabbed a copy of Crimsonland yet - now would be a perfect day :) We've also implemented gamepad support for all platforms and I must say that both Mac and Linux could use some improvements with their gamepad support. Other than that we were quite happy with the porting process. The Linux version was mainly developed with Steam OS and Ubuntu in mind but it should work on some other distros as well (we know that somebody is playing on Linux Mint for example). It took us a bit more than a year from the old Windows version from 2003 to the current multiplatform version of Crimsonland. There are still some things we'd like to do with the game, but most of the planned work is now done. If you're wondering if Crimsonland will be localized, the answer is we don't know yet. At the moment we're investigating whether that would be a feasible project so no promises yet but we'll think about it. Also, we're are hard at work creating new awesome games. Naturally we'll tell you about them here on Steam but you can also follow us on Twitter http://twitter.com/10tonsLtd , Goolge+ https://plus.google.com/+10tons or Facebook http://www.facebook.com/10tons for more news. And finally: Thank you to all who have supported the "resurrection" of Crimsonland so far :)

Dear fans of Crimsonland, we at 10tons would be very grateful indeed if as many of you as possible would give us a 'Yes' vote in our Greenlight campaign for Sparkle 2. Here's the Greenlight link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=309078880 Sparkle 2 is a well polished casual action puzzle - a match-three marble shooter - we released originally in 2013. It's been quite the success on various platforms, including Playstation 4 and Vita. We are confident the game would find its audience on Steam as well, so every 'Yes' vote would be much appreciated. You as Crimsonland fans aren't exactly the target audience for Sparkle 2, but there might very well be people close to you who'd love it! We are currently developing two brand new action games, and any income from Sparkle 2 on Steam would grant us more confidence in extending the polishing stage on the titles, if necessary. A month or two of extra development time works wonders, as I'm sure you're well aware. Thanks for reading, double thanks if you vote 'Yes', and a triple thanks if you tell a friend as well! Cheers, 10tons team

Crimsonland is now available for Linux. The supported Linux distro is Ubuntu but the game may work on others too. It took a bit longer than expected but we're finally here. We had the Linux version in beta for a while and after that we fixed a couple of bugs. The current version should be good, but we have limited number of Linux test machines so please give us feedback here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/262830/discussions/0/540744299873559238/ Have fun blasting some Linux-powered-zombie arse!

Crimsonland is now available on OS X! Normal Steam features like leaderboards and achievements are naturally supported. The game also supports at least PS4 and PS3 controllers on OS X at the moment. In addition several other brands of modern controllers should work too. In other news we're also working on the Linux version. We don't have a release date yet since we have Linux controller support to implement and one Linux sound engine to write still but we're getting there!

Great news for OS X gamers: Crimsonland for OS X is now available in the beta branch. To try it, activate the update_beta beta. There's some awesome stuff there like support for Retina Displays and support for game controllers. We've mainly used PS4 controllers as they work out of the box on the OS X. Some controllers might require additional software depending on the model. So, give it a try and give us feedback! Once we've weeded out any bugs in this beta version, we'll go public with the release.

The original Crimsonland was released in 2003. After the game was greenlit at the end of 2013, 10tons decided to give the game a complete tune-up. The brand new 2014 version introduces countless gameplay fixes, a new chapter with new enemies, new perks, and new weapons. On top of that we've done a complete art overhaul!
What are perks? Perks are like talents in an RPG game. You earn XP by killing monsters and with XP you earn levels. After leveling up you get to choose a perk. For example, a perk called Fastloader enables you to reload extremely fast. During a session perks will stack up a and every game will be a bit different. You'll unlock perks during the quest mode after which they become available in the survival game modes.
We've created a huge arsenal of 30 unique weapons ranging from the humble pistol to the mysterious Shrinkifier 5k. The weapons are unlocked by playing the quest mode and they become available in survival game modes as well. The better your arsenal - the better chances you have at scoring higher outside the quest mode.
Crimsonland features up to four player local co-op. All game modes including the quest can be played in co-op mode. There are also separate leaderboards for co-op games so gather your friends and show the internet who wields the gauss shotgun like a pro!
