Hello, this is a bigger update because it includes changes from before the holiday break.

This update includes new content, including the Moonbeam cloud, Stump enemy, and updated Tortoise Shell and Lightning Crystal relics that give special abilities.

Players can now select either Casual Mode or Challenge Mode when starting a run to better match personal playstyles. Casual Mode includes healing after every level and clouds do not reduce income, but does not include additional difficulty modifiers. Challenge Mode is closer to the original difficulty level and allows selecting difficulty modifiers for extra rewards.

I have also added a Codex menu available during a run in the Pause menu. This displays all available content in the game and whether they are unlocked.

Release v1.5.16-beta

Hello, this update contains mostly performance and behind-the-scenes improvements, but also some gameplay changes.

I\'ve gotten feedback from a few players wanting more consistent healing, so I\'ve added healing at the end of every level at Difficulty 0 so casual players can still enjoy the game. For players who enjoyed the challenge of no healing, there is now a difficulty modifier to disable this default healing.

I updated the Bat and Horned Bat movement behavior to add more variety among the enemies. I still think there could be more diverse enemies, so I\'ll continue to update and add more!

I\'ve also reverted clouds to target enemies closest to the player.

Hello, this update contains several changes for balancing and a redesign of the cloud traits system. Traits now grant stat boots instead of abilities and the player can obtain abilities through relics instead.

Prices and character passives have been updated for balancing, including Basket Head and Aristocrat.

Each cloud now gives -5 Income, but clouds have a more consistent chance to appear in the shrine.

Postponement of Steam Next Fest Entry

Hello! I have decided to postpone Cloud Keeper\'s entry into Steam Next Fest. While the original plan was to participate in October\'s Next Fest this coming week and the demo has received a lot of positive feedback, the game still has a lot of room for improvement. Therefore, I plan to attend Next Fest in February 2026 instead with a more polished demo of Cloud Keeper.
