Now the whole world is at risk of total annihilation! The Duskman plans to rip the world apart… and to have as much fun as he can while doing so. The only thing capable of stopping him is an ancient weapon known as the Miracle Sword, which seems to have fallen into the hands of a young nubkin named Stomp…

Set off on your journey to save the world, armed with a magical sword and a variety of tools by your side!

Hey everyone! We\'ve got another demo update out.
One of the main changes in this update is some major restructuring of the area around the first gear - I recently found a Youtube video where someone pulled off a skip by pogoing off a flying enemy and never learned how to use the gears. Then they used a secret shortcut to skip the next gear. It was kind of neat to see it was possible to finish the demo without using the gears, but if you don\'t learn how to use the gears, there\'s going to be problems! So I changed things to tutorialize the gears a bit better.
Patch Notes
The player now gets trapped in a hole and is forced to learn how gears work
[/*]Fixed reset errors with the crab elevator
[/*]Fixed additional out of bounds issues
[/*]Minor tweaks and fixes
[/*]
Hey everyone!
Putting out a slightly larger update today, including improvements to the map system. I\'ve implemented custom map markers, which were a feature that were ALMOST complete before the demo launch, but I noticed a bunch of weird bugs popping up, so I didn\'t want to launch the demo immediately with them. They\'re in now, so exploring and remembering paths you want to come back to should be much easier!
Patch Notes
Added custom map markers
[/*]Added marker to Portstone menu to indicate the players current location
[/*]Improved map view controls
[/*]Slighted reduced cost of Freakbeast card pack in Roseville
[/*]Slightly reduced cutterang damage
[/*]Slightly reduced blastlet damage
[/*]Fixed low health overlay of HP UI from not being updated correctly after being healed from a health upgrade
[/*]Fixed incorrect lighting in some rooms
[/*]Fixed several niche bugs that could occur when deleting a save file
[/*]Further prevented music layers from desyncing
[/*]Various minor adjustments and fixes
[/*]
Another minor update today!
Patch Notes
Added the ability to pan the camera up or down with the right joystick
[/*]Increased maximum stack of blastlets from 5 to 6
[/*]Fixed weird delay at the start of Plooks dialogue
[/*]Fixed tutorial control prompts still displaying when saving and quitting to title
[/*]Fixed a minor collision problem with one breakable wall
[/*]Fixed issue where you
[/*]Very slight visual tweaks that might boost performance on very low end systems
[/*]
By the way, if you\'ve enjoyed the game and want to support it, we have a Kickstarter going on right now that\'s over 50% funded with still 3 more weeks remaining! Why not check it out?
Smaller update today, fixing a couple easy fixes and also solving a problem I accidentally introduced in last night\'s patch. Oops!
Patch Notes
Fixed error with pause menu input
[/*]Improved visibility of map markers
[/*]Fixed bug where some players were able to see an unfinished page from the Field Guide, a feature that is accessed later in the game
[/*]
Hi everyone! The first update for the Stomp and the Sword of Miracles demo is now live, with a variety of bug fixes and tweaks.
Patch Notes
Slightly increased Frogcharm speed bonus
[/*]Added a slight squish animation and sound effects to the wall cling for better clarity
[/*]Made it so that sound effects pause when the game is paused
[/*]Fixed discrepancy in vending machine prices
[/*]Fixed issue where map marker didnt display properly when indoors
[/*]Fixed a bug where it was possible to pause the game while the Portstone warp menu is open
[/*]Fixed bug where it was possible to use frame perfect inputs to jump a second time a split second after already jumping, making it possible to get further into the demo without collecting the Miracle Sword
[/*]Fixed multiple issues where it was possible for the player to interact with things between Stomp dying and respawning
[/*]Fixed issue where the screen effect when on low health would not disappear when healing from collecting a health upgrade
[/*]Fixed issue where it was possible for the player to just leave at the start of both Thunderkin battles
[/*]Fixed issue where the scroll speed for the map was less than half of what it was supposed to be when fully zoomed in
[/*]Fixed minor mouse input issues when scrolling down in the control mapping menu
[/*]Clarified wording in the description of the Cutting Crest and Frogcharm relics
[/*]Slight collision adjustments in certain rooms
[/*]Adjusted the game to preload audio samples on startup, which may slightly increase initial launch time but prevent situations in which audio tracks, especially music, may be out of sync
[/*]Improved joystick deadzone on up and down inputs
[/*]

If you wanna make sure you stay up to date with news on anything to do with Stomp, your best option would probably be to join the Frogteam Games Discord community! It\'s a cozy little server that I chat in sometimes, and it\'s one of the first places I bring news and announcements to.
Hope to see you there!

After a lot of consideration and discussion with other game devs and players alike over the past week, I\'ve landed on a new release date for the demo for Stomp and the Sword of Miracles.
The demo will now be launching October 13th! A lot of little factors went into this decision, but a really big one was how many people told me they were excited to try it out. Kickstarters typically don\'t do well during the holiday season, and I don\'t want to stretch people\'s excitement too thin by making everyone wait until some time next year!
In the meantime, I\'m going to be hard at work on development further into the game in order to keep progress on track and to have new exciting things to show off around the Kickstarter!
See you all in October!
Hey guys!
Some of you may know that the Stomp and the Sword of Miracles demo was going to launch on August 29th. I was waiting to announce this, but the Kickstarter was going to launch on September 12th, with the demo giving it a little boost beforehand.
Team Cherry has suddenly announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong, the mostly highly anticipated metroidvania I\'ve ever seen, is going to release on September 4th.
Trying to market an indie game is already really, really hard. It\'s the task of trying to get attention in a deep sea of other amazing games. In the case of Silksong, however, I feel like a little krill trying to not get eaten by a blue whale. Tiny devs like me rely on word of mouth and streamers to bring in visibility, and everyone\'s gonna be busy with Silksong for quite a while!
So, unfortunately, even though it was just a week away, I need to delay the demo for the sake of Stomp\'s development. I want to give the demo room to shine, and I want to do what I can to make sure the Kickstarter is a success so I can make the best version of Stomp I can. I don\'t quite know yet when it\'ll be coming, but I\'ll keep everyone updated as things go.

Hey!

I'm very excited to share that Stomp and the Sword of Miracles will be gathering funding through Kickstarter soon! Rewards will include a copy of the game, the soundtrack, an art book, and more!
You can follow the prelaunch page here to get a notification as soon as it's live, so you can get in on those sweet early bird deals.
See you soon!
Throughout your journey on the island, you might face some pretty tough foes. I know what youre thinking gee, it sure would be nice if I could collect an assortment of cool items that power me up in a variety of ways and they can fit into a satisfying little grid, right? That is what youre thinking, right?
Well if it is what youre thinking, youre in luck, because Stomp and the Sword of Miracles has exactly that! With relics, you can add little abilities or change up your gameplay in all sorts of helpful ways!

As you explore, youll find relics you can equip tucked away in the hidden corners of the island. The more powerful the relics are, the more space theyll take up in your grid, and some shapes might not fit together so nicely. Youll have to figure out your own balance between quality and quantity of upgrades!

You can also rotate them to fit different shapes together more easily! Some relics will even behave differently depending on how theyre rotated. Its a lot of fun.

Heres a few relics and their descriptions! Some of them are uh works in progress, as you can probably tell.

This system has been a lot of fun to work on, especially thinking of some weird abilities and ways for relics to behave. For some relics, Im taking a bit of inspiration from Balatros jokers, where some of them are really powerful but come with weird tradeoffs where you have to make moves that arent optimal under normal circumstances if you want to squeeze out their full potential.
Im so excited to share more about this game soon!
