Choose your fiend and battle endless hordes of enemies in this action-roguelike survivor game. Explore ever-changing stages, unlock new powerups and abilities, and grow stronger with every level.
Unlock more playable characters in The Fiendonomicon! Each fiend offers a unique playstyle with a passive ability and a set of 4 active skills. Whether you prefer an aggressive, defensive, passive, or active approach, mastering your fiend's strengths is key to progressing through the stages.
Each stage is randomly generated, offering new challenges every time. You'll find treasure chests, traps, powerful rewards guarded by enemies, and mysterious devices.
Each level up lets you choose 1 powerup from 3 options. Powerups come in two forms: Augmentations, which provide passive boosts, and Mutations, automatic weapons that trigger independently. Mix your fiend's abilities with different powerups to try new builds and wreak havoc.
Features:
9 playable characters, over 20 unique weapons, and much more: collect in-game currency to unlock additional content.
4 unique stages, each featuring its own enemies and bosses.
Original soundtrack: every stage comes with its own exclusive music.
Endless build possibilities: combine fiend abilities with power-ups to experiment with various builds and strategies.
Available on Windows, Linux and SteamOS (Steam Deck).
In the past week, I polished the demo and created a new system to make defeating bosses even more rewarding.
Here's a quick recap:
- Boss Rewards: Defeating a boss now spawns 3 random rewards. Pick one: permanent stat boosts, flat gold, or an extra reroll.
- Enemy Patterns: Some melee enemies now have unique and unpredictable movement patterns.
- Fiend Scaling: All fiends (playable characters) gain more MAX HP per level.
- Neofiend Buffs: The Laser Beam skill (Q) now pierces, and its rotating beams have updated visuals.
- Carnivorosa Buffs: The Tanglebloom skill (W) evolves at 4 power. Poison scaling now benefits from HP, defense, and power, enabling defensive builds.
- Smaller Stages: Stages are ~30% smaller for better exploration flow, but encounter rarity remains unchanged.
- Enemy Speed: Minor adjustments to enemy speeds.
- Mutations: Various changes and fixes.
From now on, I'll focus on the full game as the release is still planned for March 2025
