WHAT IS STARGROUND?
Starground is a top-down automation dungeon crawler combo. Alternate between gathering and refining resources on your home planet, and venturing across space to fight through action roguelite-inspired dungeons. How you split your time is entirely up to you! There's no right way to play the game, and any path will progress the story.
MULTIPLAYER
Starground was built up with multiplayer from the beginning. Experience what Starground has to offer as a full co-operative experience with as many friends as you'd like. Invite your friends to work towards common goals, or divide and conquer each part of the game. If multiplayer isn't your thing though, you can play alone in single player too!
AUTOMATION
Develop and maximize an island of resources through automation. Work your way through a research tree filled with all sorts of unique machines and solutions to your logistical needs. Start humble by mining resources by hand and smelting manually, but soon build up to a formidable factory that can tackle anything you can throw at it.
DUNGEONS
If you're not into automation, or need to wait for your factory, then venture to other places in the solar system to explore and crawl your way through a variety of dungeons. Battle enemies, avoid obstacles, kill bosses, and reap the rewards of your effort. Take resources from dungeons back to your factory, or use rare loot to make yourself stronger and craft modular weapons. Make a spear, dual-bladed sword, or maybe a gun on a stick. The choice is yours.
Be sure to add Starground to your Wishlist!

Starground\'s final update of the year is here! This update includes Caligo, a new frozen oil planet with bosses, weapons, a boss, and more! Achievements, buildable flooring, artifact merging, and a whole ton of new things also make their entrance!
Whats New
Caligo
[/img]
Caligo is a new dungeon in Starground. Caligo is an oil planet, that has since frozen over due to its drilling and exploitation. Remanents of past workers still wander the halls, while the wealthy family who onced owned an empire grasps on to what rubble is left.\n\nThis dungeon includes a bunch of new enemies, a new artifact, and multiple new melee weapon parts. This dungeon requires you deal with new slippery ice obstacles, as well as solve new puzzles. Content will continue to be introduced to this zone in the next few minor updates after today.\n
Achievements
[/img]
Starground now finally has achievements! We\'re starting out with 14 different achievements for completing a variety of different tasks within the game. We plan to continue adding achievements for automation, dungeoning, farming, economy, and of course secret easter eggs.\n
Buildable Flooring
[/img]
Buildable flooring is finally here in Starground! Long gone are the days of roughing it in the dirt. You can finally pave underneath your factories, and for a good reason too! Flooring can negatively or positively effect your movespeed. You can make highways and buildings, all while blocking resources that get in the way of your production lines. When you place a tile ontop of a resource, that node will no longer respawn until the flooring is removed. Finally cleaner factories!
Artifact Merging and Inventory Upgrades
[/img]
As we continue to add in more artifacts and items into the game, inventory space starts to become quite a limited commodity. To address this, you can now visit the Artifact Merging Bench inside of the space hub. This bench lets you merge artifacts together in order to create new ones that combines both of their abilities. Bud is also a new NPC that will sell you inventory stack size upgrades. These will let you hold more items in any one slot in your inventory. He also gives you the option to sell old weapon parts you don\'t need (although we have some plants in the near future for weapon merging).
\nOther Features
This update contains a ton of things that aren\'t huge flashy features, but still are worth mention. They include:
Quests that you can redeem at most shop NPCs
[/*]Creative mode that disables resource requirements and lets you build anything
[/*]New misc buildings like the display stand and sign\n
[/*]
Thanks for reading! Be on the look out for some smaller updates to sprinkle in some bits and bobs! As always, feel free to report any issues on Steam forums, or over on Discord
