Calling all shovel-warriors and card connoisseurs! To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown, we are hosting some friendly in-game Joustus and Showdown matches!
The matches will be streamed on Steam, YouTube, and Twitch.
The event begins on Thursday, December 10th at 2pm!

FAQ
Q: What do I need to play?
You will need a Steam account, a computer capable of running Remote Play Together, a solid internet connection, and your choice of peripheral (controller, keyboard, etc.)!
Q: Do I need to own the game?
Since we are hosting with Steam Remote Play Together, you do not need to own a copy of the game.
Q: What do I do once I've registered?
On the day of the event, all entrants will receive an email with a link to a Steam Group Chat.
Join the Steam Chat Group and post in the #check-in channel to confirm.
If you are chosen to battle, then we'll send a mention and friend request on Steam to start a Remote Play session.
Q: How long will the event last?
2 hours in total!
Joustus matches will begin at 2pm PST and conclude at 3pm!
Showdown matches will begin at 4pm PST and conclude at 5pm!
Q: What do I get if I win?
A virtual high-five!
Q: How do I access my Steam Friend Code?
In your Steam client, hover your mouse over your screen name (located in the navigation bar). Select the "Friends" option in the pull-down tab. This will bring you to your friend page! Select "Add a Friend". On this page, you will see your 10 digit Friend Code.

Joustus Matches:
- Each entrant will play a friendly 1v1 best of 3 card game matches with the Yacht Club Game crew!
- Matches will be chosen randomly.
- All players (including us) will use our pre-selected deck of all single arrow cards.
- Stages will be picked randomly.
- Location will be picked randomly.
Showdown Matches:
- Each entrant will play a friendly 1v1 best of 3 matches with the Yacht Club Game crew!
- Stages will be selected randomly
- Matches will be chosen randomly.
Note: If a connection is unstable or sluggish, we may choose to move on to the next player. Sorry!
