Update TAXINAUT version 0.9.40 WIN_EARLY

Possible small performance improvement on some planets
Fix you start with "Tranza" cab company instead of "Metroid-cab" on new game.
A new setting KEEP POSSESSIONS AFTER CYCLING that makes it so you don't lose cab, clone and material items like normal when cycling (you still lose your VUDU). People seem to just reload saves so maybe this will entice them to at least use the cycling mechanic?
New cheapish, tiny range and damage but not illegal "Stinger" ship-weapon.
New PAUSE ON THREAT ALERT setting to turn on/off automatic pausing when there's a threat alert.
RESUME SUSPEND makes it so there's a small time (default 1000ms) where you can't resume the game after a threat alert. This helps with the annoying situation where you see a threat and click to pause the game but the "pause on threat alert" also just paused the game, just before you clicked, so now your click actually resumes the game again.
Jobs have been improved a bit: You can now more easily find jobs back by going into the galaxy-map and clicking the jobs button (at the top-left under the filter/search button) then clicking on one of the systems that is now marked with a job indicator. In the system-details you can then see planets with jobs marked with a similar indicator and the zone-details now has a JOBS tab (next to the SITES and MOBS tabs) that lists jobs you found on that planet. Also jobs now generally are fares to more difficult (higher level) planets.
Some fares are now under-paying (when fixed price) so you have to watch the price a little bit (and also some don't have all the surcharges you might expect).
An ITEMS tab in the galaxy-map search discoveries panel (next to the SITES and PLANETS tabs) that you can use to find sites (that you know) where you are guaranteed to be able to buy certain items. This work similar to how searching for sites on the galaxy-map works. Note that this is only able to list certain sites that are guaranteed to sell a certain item (unlimited stock): it can't pinpoint all sites that happen to have a once-off sale of an item (which is what most sold items you see at traders are).
Fix player minor cab-damage wasn't getting worse if you continued to receive minor damage (how did that one slip me by for years!?)
Passenger disposition now drops less when you take damage (e.g by crashing into another ship).
New Planetary departure, Nexus 10k, 100k and 1m Achievements.
A new dangerous "super-ghetto" planet type.

Version 1.0 will be coming out early next year. I don't have an exact date yet.

TAXINAUT is an open-world space-taxi sim / RPG in which you play a war veteran searching for a missing friend in the underbelly of a far away galaxy while trying to make ends meet as a taxi pilot.

Explore an open galaxy as a lonely TAXINAUT carrying fares across alien worlds. Descent onto planets and fly over alien cities and landscapes. Land at bars, diners, garages and many other common and exotic locations. Interact with the locals to ask for directions or learn about the many esoteric and sinister aspects of the Kyprei-41 galaxy. Experience a variety of items and effects like food, equipment, weapons, damages, repairs, injuries, diseases, cures, mental states, permits, memberships, etc.

Your search for "Birdie" will take you into a dark world of exploitation and cloning, and maybe give some insight into the nature of VUDU (the galaxy's currency, energy and life-force), cycling (the act of dying and being reborn) and the Nexus (an ancient network of places where VUDU can be stored and people are reborn).

Improve your clone by using "Gongs". Buy different ships and add mods to them. Rent or buy a home and find sources for items so you can buy them at your home.
