Gamescom 2025 Recap

Gamescom is over and we survived! It was our first Gamescom and honestly it was quite overwhelming at the beginning. But we also a had a lot of fun and met tons of cool people!

We're super proud that we could present our game there and hundreds of players played and wishlisted Tiny Auto Knights in front of us. We gathered a lot of feedback on the game and and could meet other devs and some of our own personal heroes! Even the Minister of Digital Affairs of Bavaria, Dr. Fabian Mehring, played some Tiny Auto Knights and promptly got his first win!

A shoutout to Malterus and Ripperchieff, two of the earliest content creators for Tiny Auto Knights! They came to visit our booth and to talk with us about the game. We also met the guys from GaHa Games, another German indie studio, whose YouTube devlogs we love to watch in our lunch break. It was quite a fanboy moment for us! And of course there were also Niklas and Leon from Bonjwa (a big German streaming channel). We were super happy to meet them and talk about Tiny Auto Knights!

Just before Gamescom we also got our "wishlist ranking" which means we will be in the "Popular upcoming" category before launch, which will give us a massive boost in visibility! Over 6.500 people already wishlisted the game and I think that's also because so many of you gave us early feedback and helped us to make the game as good as it is right now!

Now we're back home and working with charged batteries on the full release so that you all can play it soon.

Demo: Big update July 23

Hey folks,

we just released the biggest update to the demo ever!

The initial release of the demo exceeded our expectations by far and we were super happy to see how many people played the game and enjoyed it. But through your direct feedback and while watching various videos and streams of the demo, we also saw some stuff that needs improvement. And that's what this update is about!

Steam Deck support

Hi,

we want to share a quick update on Steam Deck support:

The game runs almost flawlessly on the Steam Deck.

  • Full controller support

  • Not possible to see hero info when creating/editing a deck (will be fixed in a future update)

Demo: Big localization update

Hey folks,

we just added localization for the following languages:

We also added some small improvements to the UI and made sure that the texts are pretty in every language. Plus, there are some small quality of life features and fixes to the game.

Demo Patchnotes May 27

  • Adjusted spawn chances in shop, making the progress to higher tiers slower. This will give you much more possibility to completely level up your lower tier heroes as they will appear for more rounds. You will also get less legendary heroes in the late game.
  • Added an option to limit the FPS. This helps to save processing power and energy on high refresh monitors.

The demo launch exceeded our wildest expectations!

Hi folks,

it's now exactly one week after the demo launch and we're completely blown away on how well it was received!

Some numbers

Over 2,700 players launched the demo so far and we had a peak of 227 concurrent players, which put us in the Top 25 most played Demos on Steam WORLDWIDE! The screenshot below was actually taken before we reached the highest peak, but it's really close:Game Description Image
And more than 30 players already put 20+ hours in the demo. Do I have to remind you that we just launched it a week ago?

Content creators

Some content creators discovered the demo and played it for their community, either live on stream or in a video on YouTube. Here are some examples:

Maxim played the demo for hours live on stream and later made a very nice video for YouTube.

He also streamed the game and later put it on YouTube. It's actually hilarious!

And a big shoutout to those two guys who both made multiple videos about the demo since the very beginning. You may have seen Malterus already in the game if you have openend the leaderboards and scrolled all the way to the top.

LFG Con 2025

We attended the LFG Con 2025 in Hof, Germany last weekend and presented Tiny Auto Knights. It was our first convention (as an exhibitor) and it was a blast! We really enjoyed letting people discover the game for the first time and it was also really interesting to watch them play and see which parts of the game need a bit more guidance.

What's next?

We already released two small patches to fix some heroes and other minor problems. We're working right now on some issues and quality of life improvements that were reported and suggested by the community. We're also observing the current meta of the game. It seems that beginners tend to play often summoning builds while in higher ranked games you see more builds with one or two really buffed heroes (we've already seen heroes with 200+ attack and health).
Join our Discord and discuss with us and the other players your favorite builds and the current meta!
We will continue to see how this is developing and then carefully adjust some heroes in the future to make the game overall more balanced and allow for a greater variety of builds.
And of course we're continuing on working on the full game, creating more heroes and additional systems. Can't wait to show them to you!

The Playtest just received a massive update

We just released a massive update for the Playtest a few days ago. Now that all the bugs the community found are also fixed we want to give you an overview of all the major changes:

  • Added 14 new characters
  • Added new stack Thorns: When the character gets attacked, deal the amount of stacks as damage to the attacker and reduce the stack by 1
  • Updated Freeze stack: Freezing is now chance based, every stack gives the character a 10% chance of getting frozen for a round
  • Rebalanced characters and changed some character effects
  • Fixed a crash in battle
  • Fixed crash when using the "Randomize" button in the deck menu
  • Fixed slot count bug when killing and spawning characters in the shop
  • Fixed bug with wrong health/attack shown after leveling up characters sometime
  • Fixed idle animation for Toad Lvl 2
  • Fixed Necromancer summoning a new Skeleton when a Skeleton died; this lead to infinite Skeletons until the Necromancer died
  • A lot of smaller bug fixes
  • Added many smaller quality of life improvements
