- Changed the account creation process for Paradox Accounts to more clearly inform players of Paradox Interactive's Terms of Use and Privacy policy.
- Players are now more clearly informed when changes occur in Paradox Interactive's Privacy Policy.
- Players can now access the Paradox Interactive's Privacy Policy from the main menu.
- Added an indicator in the main menu that shows which Paradox Account a player is logged in to.
- Added the ability to unlink a Paradox Account, from a player's Steam account, in the main menu.
- Players can now reset their Paradox Account password from the log in screen.
- Fixed a bug causing animals to use regular blood gore when the Piata Madness artifact is active.

Hi all! Today we have released the 1.1.1.0 update for Magicka 2 and it contains a lot of good stuff which we hope you are going to enjoy.
Read on for all the goodies contained within today's update!
- Server Browser
A Server Browser has been added to easily find and join open games
- New Magick: “Teleport”
Can be found on chapter 2
- New Magick: “Thunderbolt”
Can be found on chapter 3
- Animated element queue
The spell queue will now animate added elements and also better show when queued elements are lost
- Ask for revive functionality
Dead players can now ask for a revive. This can be turned on/off from the “Audio” settings menu
- Magicks templates
You can now set your favourite Magicks element combination as a template in classic Magicka 1 style. Simply scroll the mousewheel to select your favourite Magick. Gamepad players can bring up the magick context menu (LB+Dpad) and set/clear templates from here.
- Damage report on defeat
The defeat screen now displays a recap of damage taken and where the damage came from together with useful tips on how to do better!

Explosions created by crossed beams with opposing elements now scale in damage and range depending on amount of elements used and deal elemental damage depending on the type of Nova

Armors containing Earth/Ice now protect against knockdown, push, elevate and channeling interruption

- Focus Generation
Focus generation has been increased when playing together with other players
- Magick Quickslot Cooldowns
Tier 2, 3 and 4 Magicks have had their quickslot cooldowns reduced

Hello everyone! The Magicka 2: Spell Balance Beta can be found in your Library. Here is the latest things we have been working on, in this update we have added our first iteration of the Server Browser for you to use, so be sure to give it a try. Below is a list of updates. Added Server browser - Can be found in Adventure -> Join game, challenges & trials are also listed! Aim assist (for gamepad) - You can find this in the settings menu Updated Join friends menu The melee damage system has had a massive overhaul, including weapon imbuements! Free Spell Update
- Improved Spell System and Effects. There are now even more spell combinations to make use of, most of the existing spells have had a graphical overhaul. - Added Steam and Ice as Individual Elements. Just as it was in Magicka 1 these will take up one slot in the element queue:
- Steam is made from Water and Fire
- Ice is created from Water and Cold

After receiving further feedback from our players, we have tweaked how the resurrection knockback effect works. Players resurrecting other players will no longer trigger this effect. Familiars sacrificing themselves will now trigger the knockback effect instead.

We have a whole bunch of fixes and general quality of life improvements in todays update. Check below for the full breakdown!
Added Push effect when revived
When you are revived a push effect will move away enemies & friends.
Added Hold to move in settings
You are now able to turn on Hold to move which allows you to only move your wizard while holding down your mouse button. While using Click to move pressing CTRL will stop your current movement.
Now able to queue elements while airborne
You can now queue spells while airborne.
Fixed behavior of “Surprise Me”
You will now randomly join any of the four difficulties when selecting this alternative in join game.
Fixed perma-slow bug
This has been fixed and should not happen any more.
Crash switching between fullscreen and windowed mode (ALT+ENTER)
Removed the ALT+ENTER command to switch between fullscreen and windowed mode, you can still use F1 to switch between windowed mode and fullscreen.
Fixed issues that occurred when changing resolution
The resolution should not mess up anymore when switching between borderless fullscreen and fullscreen.
Correct custom keybindings in dialogues
The correct key/inputs will now be displayed in dialogues.
Now able to remove any guest player when in someone else's game
If you join another player’s game and accidentally add a guest player, you can now remove them.
Fixed healing not repeating if using a re-bound self-cast key
If you had changed your self-cast key then healing would not repeat while holding that key, this should now work properly.
Fixed Private Session could be triggered in the equipment menu
You will no longer be able to accidentally trigger Private Session whilst you are in the equipment menu.
Fixed Latency not being considered when searching and joining games
The game will now take latency in consideration when you are searching for a joinable game.
Fixed clients sound being muted a few seconds when transitioning between loading screen and in-game
The clients sound should no longer be muted when transitioning between load screen and in-game.
Fixed sound effects not playing until a unit dies whilst being client
The clients should now be able to hear sound effects at all times.
Fixed casting shields and mines
You can now cast shields and mines behind you whilst walking forward.

Greetings wizards! We've been hard at work bringing you fixes, changes and improvements to Magicka 2, with no further ado - here are today's patch notes. 1.0.1.4 (PC)
- Keybinding
- There is now a UI in the settings menu for easier keybinding, this can also be done ingame during a session.
- Unlocks working when using custom artifacts
- You are now able to unlock robes, staves and weapons when using custom artifacts.
- Authentication session times out if game is on during 24h
- Your session will no longer timeout, it will now be refreshed.
- Water wheel (mission 3), players no longer lose character aiming control if you skip the cutscene
- If a player would skip the cutscene at the water wheel then the character would not be able to turn and aim anymore.
- Rocket Man: sometimes you can get launched up in the air
- You will no longer get shot into the air after being frozen, this happened if got frozen in shallow water and another player sprayed water on you.

Disconnection-handling in Single Player
Players that disconnect from steam should now be able to continue playing in offline mode.
Game settings in the Pause menu
You can now change settings in the pause menu
Fixed issue with Challenge Mode enemies not awarding score
Now you will get points if enemies fall into holes or gets killed by each other.
That Other Forest bridge
Previously if you joined a game in progress where the bridge had already been lowered it would not show as such to you. The bridge should now be properly synced when a player joins after the bridge has been lowered.
Improved Waterwheel fight
The waterwheel have been updated to give the players more hints on what they should do (see the cut scene). This should make things much easier for those new to this particular encounter.
Fixed damage output of weapon-imbued Water+Shield+Death+Earth
Using this combination should now give the expected amount (more) of damage
Retry button added to pause menu in trials & challenges
If you got off to a rocky start and are chasing that high score, you can now reset and get back to the action quicker!

Be the Wizard You Want to Be!
With tons of robes, staffs, and weapons you can play as the robed Wizard of your choice to wreak havoc amongst hordes of fantasy creatures as you see fit. Magicka 2's dynamic spellcasting system can be used in many different ways, offering hours of experimentation for players to figure out which spells belong in their repertoire.
