This months Pages of History features Theodore Roosevelt Jr, the son of U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt and a veteran of both World Wars. He was the only general to personally land on the beaches of Normandy along with the rest of the soldiers on the morning of June 6th 1944. People thought he was going to his death, but the 56-year old (who walked with a cane) not only survived but also brilliantly commanded his subordinates.
