Hello everyone!
Its been a few weeks since the last update, but that doesn\'t mean that we haven\'t done anything. We have been working on our objective to introduce more words to the game and as we said in the last update: we have something \"funny \" in mind.
These weeks before holidays have been (and probably will be) challenging in our daily jobs and lives, so we still need more time before the game is ready to be updated, but there is a teaser for you:
We are happy with the result we are obtaining so far, which will not only allow us to introduce words but also sentences (be ready to use the space key).
We also have received comments related to the difficulty of some skulls (stars) in a few levels, we will review each level again and drop the requirements a bit.
One last thing is related to the fact that the font we have been using doesn\'t have glyphs for the accents. That has been bothering the Spanish players (many words have accents in spanish) because the game defaults to Unity\'s font. This is a low-priority issue but we will update the font as the last part of the upcoming update.
That\'s it for now, we are still enthusiastic about this game and we will keep working on it until we are satisfied with the experience .
ROADMAP:
Introduce the new system of Words and Sentences to spice up the variety of each level.
[/*]Balance the skulls requisites, particularly the ones obtained through score.
[/*]Update the font to include accents.

Hello again everyone!
We are back with a small update of the game with some bug fixes, UI adjustments and additional necessary options. You can find the specific changes below in the patch notes.
Now, we want to address the elephant in the room, after strong deliberations (as hard as our skeleton heads can think) we have found a way to introduce more words into the game and variations to each summon without breaking the theme of the game. Hurray! We don\'t want to spoil the surprise, so we will not say more about it until we have it ready, which, unfortunately, will take some time since we are just two necromancers working on this project part time.
There is one thing that we want to ask you, what do you prefer? To have smaller updates with new words that appear often or one big update with many new words some time from now? We would like to hear your opinions in the comments or discussions.
PATCH NOTES:
The game has an Infinite Mode! Now more clearly presented in the play menu.
[/*]The Blink modifier have been completely reworked because it was quite unfair with high falling speeds.
[/*]Added screen modes and the option to change between the two supported aspect ratios. We received some comments related to unplayable screens with ultra-wide resolutions, to solve that problem now the game adjusts the resolution (adding black bars) to handle aspect ratios outside of the expected ranges. Also now there is an option to change the game to a resizable window mode to set the screen to the size that you prefer.
[/*]Some UI adjustments and reorganization of elements to give a more organized look.
[/*]The in-game UI now closes and stays locked when a conversation starts until the end of the conversation.
[/*]The height of spawn and failure of the falling words have been adjusted to appear sooner and disappear almost right after reaching the bottom of the screen.
[/*]Now the in between summons text fades in/out instead of popping.

Hello everyone!
First of all, we would like to thank all of you that played the game this first week after the launch of Chapters 1 and 2, particularly to those who left us feedback or reviews. So far, we have received positive reviews with some caveats about the experience that we will address below.
The main comment that we have received is that, although there are plenty of mechanics to modify the behavior and the text of the falling words, it feel tedious to always use the same basic words for the summons (skull, chest, arms, legs and hip). Our idea behind it is that the basic text is simple and the difficulty comes from the modifications that we apply to the word, but maybe we simplified it too much and we need to introduce more variations to the summons to leave some wonder every time a new summon appears.
We will think how to address this issue for future updates but you are also welcomed to share in the community any ideas that you think may be interesting.
PATCH NOTES:
Fixed the issue where the chapters in the level selector appear duplicated when finishing the last level of the previous chapter multiple times.
[/*]Fixed an important bug where, if you complete multiple parts of the skeleton in a very short time, the game doesn\'t count the parts as completed and the words keep falling even after the skeleton disappears. This bug in certain situations could even crash the game and it is the main focus of this update.
[/*]Fixed the problem with the leaderboard not appearing in the Infinite Mode.
[/*]Fixed the order of inputs to always choose the available letter closest to the bottom, unless the focus is set to another word.
[/*]Correction of the typos found so far.
[/*]
Small Update during the Steam Next Fest:
Fixed some bugs related to the Cards of Chapter 2: the cards didn't combo properly in certain circumstances and there was a chance that the card initialization failed producing no cards at all.
[/*]Windowed Mode: the game in its current state can't handle ultra-wide resolution monitors, as a hotfix we have have included the option to change the game to resizable window mode to adjust the screen to a playable size. The Recommended resolution is 1920x1080 or any 16:9 aspect ratio.

Steam Next Fest is here and with it we have released the Demo with many more features than it had in the web version:
A major update across all systems, improving performance, fixing bugs, and generalizing mechanics which brings us to the next point.,
[/*]New mechanics, modifiers, words, and a few surprises we're keeping under wraps for now.,
[/*]An UI rework to ensure all elements are consistent and well integrated.
[/*]STORY MODE: This is the driving force behind all these changes. We want to create a small narrative to accompany the mechanics through a sequence of levels, each with its own theme or unique mechanic. The current demo includes 10 story levels and Infinite Mode.,
[/*]STEAM RELEASE: Weve decided to launch the game on Steam (Windows and Linux) with the goal of releasing Chapters 1 and 2 in full on October 31, 2025. The remaining chapters will follow later. The game will be released for free, along with a small support DLC but all levels will be free to play.,
[/*]STEAM NEXT FEST: It starts today, October 13, and runs until October 20. The Funny Bones Demo is already available on the platform and will be part of the event, aiming to gain visibility ahead of its upcoming launch on October 31. If you like the project, we kindly ask for your support and help spreading the word during the event to make the most of this opportunity.
