Nebula Cleanup Crew is a short, roguelike bullet-hell game where you rescue your crew members by defeating waves of enemies leading up to bosses. Once a crew member is rescued you can play as them! The average session will last 3-10 minutes.

HOT AND COLD WARFARE

Each weapon alters your ship's core temperature as you pave the way to a crew member needing rescue. Superheat or Superchill your ship to use powerful special attacks!

FREEZE your enemies, then hit them with SCORCH damage to cause a FLARE blast outward from the enemy. Or, OVERHEAT them and then hit with FROSTBITE damage to create damaging ICE SHRAPNEL and more!

RESCUE THE CREW

Defeat Nebula Bosses to rescue and unlock your crew members as playable ships!

CUSTOMIZE YOUR WEAPONRY 

Change what happens when in SuperTemp Zones! For example, COLD bullets can double in size when fired while you're in a SuperChill Zone!

Also upgrade fundamental stats like ammo usage, weapon effects, and your COLD and HOT abilities. Unlock all the options for over 50 total upgrades!

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • 50+ hand-crafted maps full of enemies to defeat, including 2 bosses. Each run features different maps and each map has a touch of procedural generation to keep things fresh!

  • Designed to be short. Each session will last between 3 and 10 minutes.

  • 4 original music tracks!

  • Stagger enemies with your hot and cold arsenal! Over 50 upgrades for your weaponry, ship stats and abilities - many of them unlocked after completing various challenges.

  • Single-player, fully offline close-quarters action gameplay: no internet required.

  • No microtransactions

    Devlog - July 26, 2025 - Controller support! Demo soon! Weapon Stagger Effects!

    Hey there!

    It's a been a while since our last update, but we've got some news!

    Weapon Stagger Effects

    Prior to this update you could FREEZE or OVERHEAT enemies based on your active weaponry, but now weapons have additional properties that cause extra effects (some damaging, some buffing) to you or enemies.

    For example: FREEZING an enemy will put them into a STAGGERED status. Then, hitting them with a weapon that has SCORCH causes the FLARE stagger effect. This can be triggered each time the enemy is hit with a SCORCH weapon while FROZEN. See some more examples in the video below!

    Controller Support

    Controller support is here! We're now a fully twin-stick shooter.

    • Player can "flip" all extreme temperature zones to their opposite at once via an ability
