Symphony gets a permanent price cut!

We're really excited about the great feedback we're still getting on Symphony, which was originally launched all the way back in 2012. Its unique gameplay and timeless stylized neon look still hold up after all these years! However it HAS been a while and we'd love for more people to enjoy the game, so we're announcing a permanent price cut to $4.99 (or regional equivalent). If you've been on the fence about trying out Symphony, there has never been a better time! :) Also, look for a patch in the coming days to address some issues that were recently reported. Cheers!

Big update: Non-Latin character support, "Play NEXT" "RANDOM", now in PC beta! (Build 1450)

Hello everyone! We're really excited to announce that a large update that's been a long time coming and has now hit beta. In addition to bug fixes, we finally finished re-factoring our font engine to handle multiple non-Latin character sets simultaneously. It's a rather large backend upgrade, so definitely try it out, throw as many foreign character song and artist tags at it as you please, and let us know how it works out! We expect we might have missed some character sets so we're looking forward to hearing from you about how the system performs in a live environment. Also, two oft-requested features for playback have been added: "Play next song" (in the current playlist), as well as "Play random song". We hope this all makes for an improved Symphony experience for everyone. As always, ping us in the discussion boards with any issues on these or other features! TO TRY THE BETA: just select the beta branch [beta_loggin_f] from the "betas" in your Steam client under the Symphony properties. Cheers, Francois Empty Clip Studios

Build 1101 goes live (PC/Mac)! FLAC is back, beta controller now also in the interface, bug fixes

Hello everyone! We are happy to announce the latest patch, build 1101, just went live. It fixes FLAC support, and introduces controller support throughout the entire interface of the game. There are still some quirks here and there, but you should be able to play the full game only using the controller. The build also introduces command-line control of windowed/full-screen mode and fixes a few miscellaneous issues. Unfortunately, even though our internal Linux build contains many fixes, we were not able to push it out at this time but expect to do so shortly. We are aware of a few outstanding problems and are working to fix as many as we can, thanks for all your feedback and we hope you enjoy Symphony! Francois Empty Clip Studios

Hello everyone! Thanks to your feedback and crash log e-mails, we are almost ready to publish our biggest update ever to the main branch, containing: -Unlimited song length -Controller support (in game only for now) -Bug-free scanning There IS one final issue we are having problems replicating. It's a crash when starting the game after playing a song that had a boss in it. It may or may not be fixed, so we would love if you guys could check out the beta branch one last time (beta branch is "beta_loggin_f", see forum for details on how to get it and report crashes). We're almost there, thanks in advance for trying out the beta and sending us your crash logs (if any!!!). Cheers, Francois Empty Clip Studios

(forwarded from forums) Hello everyone! We're really excited to announce that we have updated the latest beta, which is by far the biggest update to Symphony ever and contains a bunch of often-requested enhancements such as: - Unlimited song length (well, limited by the memory on your machine) - 100% new, more stable scanning engine (caveat: will only affect new files, since old files will already be catalogued) - A LOT of scanning crash fixes - Beta controller support - New, separate UI/in-game mouse sensitivity settings Please try it out (see instructions in the pinned discussion "BETA instructions") and let us know how it works for you! Thanks, Matt and Francois Empty Clip Studios
