\n\nOver 90 people filled out the survey! Thank you so much.\n\nThis post is a high-level summary of the results and the changes were making based on your feedback. If you have questions or want to discuss the data in more detail, please use this steam discussion thread. \n\nWhat we learned\n
\nThere are two clear experience segments in the player pool: under 1,000 hours and over 1,000 hours. There is also a notable concentration under 300 hours, with a smaller split around 400 hours.\n\n
\nThe largest group of respondents are in Entry League, followed by Gold League, then Bronze.\n\n
\nOn average, you want surveys and changes every three months or more. Based on this, we will now be running the survey and refreshing the map pool every six months: December and May. Expect changes after the Lord of the Runs and King of Speed majors as we kick off each new season.\n\n
\nYou asked for more maps in the curated workshop pool. Were starting the pool at 25 entries. After each major tournament, the winner may choose to increase the pool by 1, decrease it by 1, or keep it the same.\n\nHow the map pool works going forward\n\n
\nBased on your data, the Top 20 most popular maps automatically lock in and are safe from removal every survey moving forward.\n\n Mapmaker contest winner(s) are added next, bringing the pool to 22 entries.\n Three final slots are determined from the bubble.\n The reigning Lord of the Runs (currently: ahmad) may keep, swap, or banish one of the bottom three bubble maps and replace it with another map that has a positive rating.\n\nSAFE MAPS (Locked In):\nPitfall (150), Oasis Abyss (141), Club V (113), City Run R2 (112), Snowed In (111), Oceanslide (110), Minery (109), Dragon City (105), Texas Run\'em (105), Disco Lounge (101), New Age City (101), Plantation (101), Genetics (96), Dance Hall (90), Oasis (90), Void (88), Shore Enuff (83), Dash the Night (77), Citadel (72), Club House (71), Lantern Festival (Contest Winner), Sky High (Contest Winner)\n\nBUBBLE MAPS (Champion Decision):\nSurfing in the Oasis (70), Terminal (65), Coastline (64)\n\nELIGIBLE SWAP POOL (Positive Rating):\nSpeedCity Nights (64), Granary (63), Sound Shiver (59), Lunar Colony (57), Safari Park r45 (49), Titan (34), Metalworks (32), Boardwalk (30), Gift Store (30), Winds Peak (29), Aztec (27), Park (27), Rainx Laboratory (25), Arctic (16), Rollercoaster Express (14), Rush Ring (14), Mall (13), SubWave (11), Abandoned Factory (6), MoeFox Ultimate Fast (5), Shopping Madness (4), Rendezvous (3), The Junkyard (3), Jungle Juice (1)\n\nNOTE: Granary has been selected by the Lord of the Runs and will be added to the curated pool in place of Terminal.\n\nNOT BEING READDED (Community Opinion):\nUnfinished Buildings (0), Funhouse of Doom (-1), Next Level (-3), Generation (-5), Toxic (-5), Archi Chemical Dash (-6), Aquarium (-7), Project A Remake (-7), Wire Reworked (-9), Zahyon Style (-13)\n
\nThe trajectory data shows clear separation at the top, with Pitfall and Oasis Abyss standing far above the rest. Based on sustained performance and community approval, they earn the unofficial title of GREATEST MAPS OF ALL TIME.\n\nOne more announcement\n\nWere introducing two mapmaker contests per year, aligned with the twice a year survey schedule. Both contests will use the same ranking and rating systems. The next contest begins on April Fools Day.\n\nThe intent is for one map per contest to enter the curated workshop pool, with the possibility of more if results justify it.\n\nThere will be one final news post with some announcements in three days.\n\nAs always, Happy Holidays and keep on running.\n Silent
