-Fixed missing saxophone sound in second Countess encounter. -Fixed some music issues. -Resolved dictation machine screen showing all hotspots. -Fixed inventory item stuck issues. -Fixed F5/F7 issues. -Now "Shutterbug" achievement unlocks in-game photos on the main menu. Sorry for patching this so often, but these came up, and I can't let the game be in a lesser state. Hopefully we won't find more or require to fix more, most of the issue here also caused soft locks.

-Fixed photo album access code entry and hover interaction. -Adjusted the Countess encounter at Roosevelt so saxophone music starts only after she leaves. -Stopped the "Notebook updated" window from restarting saxophone music in Roosevelt. -Resolved Laurens collision near the gate. -Prevented background music from resetting when exiting the trailer. -Addressed dialogue speech and text discrepancies. -Fixed music restarting when exiting views of Mavis letter/Maviss picture. -Restored missing speech at Jambalaya Records. -Fixed missing speech for "C Sharps" dialogue. -Restored ghost interaction for "C Sharps and Cecil Sharps" at the construction site. -Stopped repetitive questioning during the Columbia University call with Sam Durkin. -Corrected Isaacs song behavior on the dictation machine so prior music resumes. Sorry but we had further fixes! - Commentary Trigger Fixes: - Commentary now plays only once when right-clicking on the calendar with Joey. - Repeated commentary trigger when asking about the photograph has been fixed. - Commentary during repeated visits now only triggers once (e.g., Jambalaya Records, Countess chase scenes). - Visual and Gameplay Glitches: - Fixed "white-out" visual glitch when exiting Jambalaya Records after checking the case list. - Resolved issue allowing players to glitch through doors with "Ghost"-Lauren. - Text and Voice Sync: - Fixed cut-off texts on multiple screens. - Resolved mismatches between voice lines and text across various scenes (e.g., Isaac Browns sister dialogue). - Added missing period at the end of certain sentences. - Fixed missing speech for "Nevermind" response. - UI and Interaction Fixes: - Adjusted text box position to prevent text from being cut off or misplaced. - Resolved issue preventing the clickable note from being selected after the first interaction. - Disabled notebook access during the final scene when Lauren is being strangled. - Menu and Pause Behavior: - Game now fully pauses in Help and Achievement menus, preventing background animations from continuing. - Inventory access is now blocked during the photo album scene after the game ends. - Audio Fixes: - Fixed issue where background music restarted after nearly every commentary trigger. - Resolved unusually loud music issue in the "other world" scene with Isaac Brown.

-Inventory Access Restriction: Inventory can no longer be accessed outside of active gameplay, preventing potential softlocks. -Text Skipping Fix: The CTRL+P skip function now works correctly during the opening sequence when Lauren is speaking. -Walkable Area Correction: Fixed unintended walkable area on the boots. -Menu Interaction Blocked: Hotspots and interactions are now disabled across all menus (main, save, load, quit, help) to prevent softlocks. -Inventory Drag Issue Fixed: Resolved issue where switching to Joey with an item selected would disable inventory dragging upon returning to Lauren. -Inventory Interaction Restriction: Opening options, notebook, or case list while dragging an item now automatically resets to the default cursor. -Saxophone Sound Bug Fixed: Fixed missing saxophone sound after the Countess disappears at Roosevelt Island Promenade. -Dialogue Sync: Fixed discrepancies between speech and on-screen text. -Music Restart Fixes: Music no longer restarts when leaving the close-up saxophone screen or after saying goodbye to Cecil. Fixed background music restarting when exiting the case list from any screen. -Inventory Text Bug: Right-clicking on an item now clears the descriptive text when Lauren finishes speaking. Basically we've added the ability to change from skipping speech automatically and with keypresses to only when you keypress if u press "CTRL+P", that state is global, and persists between your savegames.

Hi, We're upgrading the game to 3.6 version of AGS, which basically means better rendering, better support for resolutions and better support for keyboard and mice! The savegames have been tested and should work, and shouldn't break. If for any reason there's an issue, feel free to report and opt in to beta oldversion, by using the password "oldversionold"

- Added LINUX and MAC ports! - Added a small music volume drop when speech occurs to give more breathing room. - Music now starts at 75% [To help accomodate things]. - Added (F2 and F3) as music volume controls [speech is already at 100%, also was before and imho doesn't need to be adjusted] - Added + and - as MASTER Volume controls. - Fixed some issues with character changing. - Fixed few crash bugs.

Hello all! You might have noticed that Blackwell Unbound has been updated (along with all the other Blackwell games) . We have re-compiled the entire game in the newest version of the Adventure Game Studio engine. This means that the game NOW WORKS ON ALL YOUR FANCY NEW MODERN MONITORS. As the game got older, many glitches started appearing. Those should - theoretically - be gone now. We know this update was a long time in coming. Thank you for your patience. This does have the negative effect of breaking all your original save files. If you would like to revert back to the original version of the game, you need to to the following: 1- Right-click on the game in your Steam library 2- Select "Properties" and go to the "Beta" tab 3- Enter the password "oldblackwellunbound" 4- select the beta version "original" from the drop down list. The game should revert itself back to the old version. If it doesn't, uninstall and reinstall. Thank you all, and enjoy the game! -Dave & Janet

We have upgraded the Steam integration DLL which fixes an incompatibility issue with the latest version of the Steam client that stopped achievements from unlocking. With this new upgrade, all Blackwell achievements will now unlock properly.
