TERRARIA 1.4.5 - RACING THE CLOCK TOWARDS SUBMISSIONS

\n\nGreetings, Terrarians! Another month has flown by and the team has made some great strides towards the completion of Terraria 1.4.5. Localization work (at least in regards to the PC side of things) has pretty much been completed at this point - outside of a few stragglers that we may just take care of within a post-release hotfix. Outside of that, the team has been hard at work testing and fixing bugs as well as coordinating with all of our various global partners to try and get everyone as far advanced as possible in parallel. We have not yet reached the point of making first party submissions, but we should hopefully be there soon. We will try to let everyone know once those submissions are in, at which point things will be mostly out of our control. We do have guesstimates about how long that will take based on past rounds, but we have seen it go way faster and way slower before so you never know.\n\n

Timing-wise, the launch window remains the same - though January is more likely at this point unless we get lucky with faster-than-expected submissions.

\n\nWe will try our very best to continue to narrow that window down as we know more. We should know a LOT more once we get the first round of submissions out of the way. The reality is that first party staff go home for the holidays eventually - at which point we are stuck waiting on them to return. We are racing that clock to at least get our first round of submissions in and done this year. If we get first-pass approval, December remains possible. If not... then it\'s probably January. We are trying to be as transparent with the process as we can here - we know it has been a long time coming, so we owe you that much.\n\nNow, we wouldn\'t want to leave you empty-handed spoiler-wise either, so we have what we think is a really cool one for this month - a revamped crafting UI! This new take on the crafting interface blends what has worked so well in regards to research and duplication on Journey Mode and brought it over into the mainstream crafting process. These changes also apply to the Guide recipe interface. This means you will be able to sort through the sometimes-daunting pile of possible crafting recipes for any given material via both categorical tabs and even a text-based search box. This becomes all the more important with the changes to craft from nearby chests that will arrive with Terraria 1.4.5...\n\nTaking all of this together, we hope this helps everyone to be able to more quickly find and craft that one perfect item that they want more quickly! (This is still undergoing some tweaks as we find and fix bugs/issues in the testing process so its final form may differ)\n\n\nThe next generation Terraria Crafting is here!\n\nAll that said, we always do step back reflect at this time of year on how thankful we are for everyone in our amazing community - you truly are the engine that makes Terraria go. TMODLOADER NEWS - TML TEAM

\n[img src=\"https://i.imgur.com/oLHogOc.png\"][/img]\nHello everyone! \n\nOn December 1st the monthly update release of tModLoader will go live. As always we are grateful for the massive amount of community participation in developing and testing new features each month.\n\nThis month\'s release contains various bug fixes and smaller features. We\'ve fixed several regressions related to the liquid rendering fixes from last month and fixed some UI inconsistencies and errors. \n\nFor modders, this month\'s release includes support for custom pressure plates along with new hooks for tile interactions, as well as new hooks for custom armor set shadow effects and transforming the full player rendering. As usual, we\'d like to encourage modders to test out new tModLoader features on the preview branch if they are relevant to your mod. Major features in preview are listed on our Discord.\n\nModders and users should also keep an eye out for our monthly Steam announcement on the 1st where a complete listing of bug fixes and API changes for this month\'s release will be listed. The in-game news button on the main menu will direct you directly to the announcement once it is live.\n\nWe look forward to seeing how mods make use of these new features. \nThe DR Studios team remains hard at work both keeping pace with the PC team on any new additions as well as chipping in where possible on cross-platform bug fixes - all in order to get Terraria 1.4.5 out to you as soon as physically possible. In the meantime, the submissions team at 505 Games is trying to get all of those planned for and scheduled to maximize our chances of a smooth and speedy approvals process.\n\nWe don\'t necessarily have any fun spoilers for you this time around. TERRARIA - THE BOARD GAME UPDATE

In this months Terraria: The Board Game designer diary, weve got information about our latest MPC (Manufacturer Production Copy), the project timeline, foiled boss cards and packaging. \n\nGrab your pickaxes and lets dig in!\n\n---\n\n[u]MPC (MANUFACTURER PRODUCTION COPY) + TIMELINE[/u]\nThis part of the process is always exciting and terrifying in equal measure. We received MPCs (Manufacturer Production Copies) from Gameland earlier this month, and while the vast majority of the components were spot-on, we identified a few areas that need to be addressed and ultimately, we werent able to approve the MPCs.\n\nEverything we flagged is being addressed, but this will take time and as a result shipping and fulfilment will unfortunately need to be pushed back. This is disappointing, but we will always choose quality over speed; we\'re committed to creating the best product possible and were not going to settle for sending you anything other than that. Gameland estimated that rectifying these issues and getting another MPC to us would take 3-4 weeks. With the holidays looming and congested shipping routes at this time of year, at this stage its hard to say exactly when games will arrive in each region. Theres a chance that some backers in Asia might receive their copies this year (as these will be shipped overland, rather than via sea freight) but its looking likely that most backers will receive their pledges in early 2026. Over the next couple of weeks, well have a better idea of timescale and well continue to keep you as up to date as we possibly can; in the meantime we really, really appreciate your patience.\n\n---\n\n[u]IT\'S NOT ALL DOOM AND GLOOM![/u]\nWhen youre looking for problems, its really easy to overlook all of the things that are wonderful, so heres a rundown of what excited us about the MPCs!\n\nPUNCHBOARD DELAMINATION IS FIXED\nIn the last update, we discussed the punchboard issues we had come across in the copy provided to us at Essen. We\'re very happy to report that there was no evidence of peeling in the copies that we received yesterday, so we wont be needing to reprint 150,000 punchboards. Thank goodness!\n\nFOILED BOSS CARDS\nWere absolutely thrilled with how the foiled boss cards turned out. Opening the boss card deck feels like opening the best trading card pack ever; every card is a shiny! They have a very nostalgic Team Rocket Pokmon card vibe, and they look fantastic stored inside the Boss Boxes.\n\n\n\nPACKAGING\nThis ones a bit nerdy, but super important for making sure that your games get to you in pristine condition. The packaging of the games is excellent; weve upgraded the protection even further with a higher density foam in place of corner protectors, and Gamelands drop tests show that the packages are able to stand up to some serious punishment, as you can see in the video below!\n\n\nA packaged Hellstone pledge (banana for scale)\n\n\nHellstone pledge packaging render.
