Brick Battalion version 1.06 is now available. This update adds split screen multiplayer while playing offline. Now four players can sit on a couch just like old times. To play split screen multiplayer, make sure you are logged off and go to custom games. The player slots should now offer Player 1-4 in addition to bots. Input profiles have changed to support split screen. If you were not using default settings you will need to reconfigure your input. There is a different input profile for each local player as well as menu navigation. When playing alone, all player profiles control the player. You now chat with just your team by default in team games. To talk to everyone hold shift when opening chat. The server has been moved to the cloud with this update. Connections should be more stable now. Complete change list:
- Added split screen multiplayer
- Added input profiles
- Added team chat
- Moved server to cloud
- Chat category prefix added ([Channel][Friends][Team][All][Party])
- Message displayed when a player disconnects mid game
- Replaced text "Pieces" with "Bricks" in results and profile stats
- Added title screen
- Remote players look less jittery
- Game no longer automatically logs in

Our upcoming game Law Mower has been announced on Greenlight. In celebration, we are putting Brick Battalion on sale for 75% OFF!
If you were looking to get a good deal on Brick Battalion, now is the time!
Brick Battalion Store
Law Mower is a game about one man's obsession with cutting grass! Neither man nor nature can stop him as he mows across the North American continent. The game is intended to be fun and funny with an (un)healthy dose of carnage.
We need all the support we can get for Law Mower, so head on over to our Greenlight page and help us out!
Brick Battalion Update 1.06
For anyone wondering if Brick Battalion is getting another update, yes, it is! There are some new changes coming in a few months:
- Team Chat
- Chat prefixes that let you know where the message came from (channel, friends, team, etc)
- Smoothed out remote player movement so that it doesn't look laggy.
- Input profiles instead of redundant input all in one window.
- Login screen and auto-login removed. Instead you are taken straight to the single player menu. Clicking "log in" will authenticate and take you to the online menu.

Brick Battalion version 1.05 is now available. For this update, we concentrated on speeding up the pacing a bit without drastically affecting difficulty. The most notable change is that the "next brick" delay during firing has been reduced. No longer will you have a breather or impatiently tap your foot while your ship shoots off hot plasma. In order to accommodate this change, quite a few visual effects have been sped up, and with the intro sequence compressed, the entire experience should feel faster. With great speed comes great responsibility. A "last chance" recovery feature has been added that gives you some time to move your brick set if it lands on top of an already placed brick. You have a half second to move or rotate, up to two seconds total per brick set. This feature is ignored if you are holding "down" to make your bricks fall faster. Last but not least, the number of brick colors can now be changed in custom games. This number can be set to 3, 4 or 5 colors. Previously, all matches were 5 colors. The default for matchmaking is now 4. The number of colors affect the difficulty for all players in a match, with more colors being more difficult. Here is a video of a 4 vs 4 Bot Match showing the latest update: 4 vs 4 Bot Match So, what do you think? Let us know on the discussion board! Complete change list:
- Match start time decreased.
- Post chain spawn delay reduced from 3 to 1.
- Fall time modifier when holding "down" changed from 0.25 (4x) to 0.1428 (7x).
- Turret rotation speed increased from 60 to 360.
- Debris drop delay decreased from 0.1 to 0.05.
- Match explosion effect speed increased 100%.
- Match explosion trail duration decreased from 1.5 to 0.75.
- Rocket speed increased from 800 to 1200.
- Warhead speed increased from 700 to 1050.
- 4 colors are used by default.
- Custom games allow 3 through 5 colors.
- Brick sets can be moved up to a half second after touching a brick below it.
- Brick sets can spend a maximum of 2 seconds touching bricks below it.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to rotate bricks after the game has ended.
- Fixed a bug where a player can leave the custom lobby while a match is starting.
- Bot name no longer displays in player slots when returning to the custom lobby.
- Fixed a crash when clicking log in immediately after clicking settings on the login screen.
- Cultures that use ',' (comma) instead of '.' (period) for the decimal should no longer receive errors.

Brick Battalion version 1.04 is now available. As requested by one of our players, we've added an optional "Dr. Mario" style of rotation. This option is accessible on the "Input" tab in "Settings". We've also made the movement of falling pieces smooth instead of popping on the grid. This looks more aesthetically pleasing, and may be easier to control as well. Finally, there is an option to display your ship on the left side of the screen instead of the right side. This option is found on the "Video" tab in "Settings". Complete change list:
- Alternate rotation style available in input settings.
- Bricks now move and fall smoothly instead of based on grid.
- Added option to display ship on the left side of the screen instead of the right in video settings.
- Can now join a different lobby while inside of a lobby.
- Fixed a bug where the user cannot cancel authentication while connecting to master.
