Dear oil entrepreneurs, It's been quiet here for a long time, and that's about to change! We've been working hard on a complete rebuild of the game, as well as a version for mobile. And, as promised: a multiplayer campaign! But before we can roll out all of this good stuff, we need to gradually test if everything is in working order. We could use your help with this! You can find a button on the store page to sign up for a playtest of the new Turmoil. We will soon start this playtest with a limited number of volunteers. New things we want to test are:

Replays of the Weekly Challenge
In-game Weekly Challenge leaderboard and history
Tutorial 'videos'
New and improved in-game UI
New languages (Turkish, Korean, Hungarian)
New aspect ratios (no more black bars in 16:9 full screen mode)
Loading screen tips
And hopefully the absence of lots of imperfections from the old version!

Depending on how many issues we encounter in the playtest, and how long it takes to solve them, the new version of Turmoil will replace the current one in a little while. Once that version has gone live, a multiplayer playtest will be next. We will soon also share more details about the new version and multiplayer campaign, so stay tuned! For now: thanks for your patience, and we would appreciate it if you sign up for the playtest. We hope you will be invited to join it soon!

Turmoil offers players a visually charming, tongue-in-cheek take on the simulation genre inspired by the 19th century oil rush in North America. Get a taste of the rush and rivalry of the time as you earn your way to become a successful oil entrepreneur. As you make money digging up and selling oil, the town will grow along with you.

Lease land at the town auction and search for oil. Build a rig, create an efficient pipe network and bring up the oil to store it in silos. Sell the oil at the best times to maximize profits. Then buy essential upgrades in town to cope with rock, gas and ice. Acquire more town shares than your competitors in a bid to become the new mayor.
