Howdy howdy everyone! This is Casey again, giving you this month's update on Sparkour!

For the past month, we've been working on getting the demo ready for release. This meant a lot of polishing and not a lot of new content. But never fear, we're still on track for our release later this year! Let's talk a little bit about the demo and what we've been doing to prepare for it:
Don't Worry, You'll Be Running Around Soon...
First of all, a lot of you have been wondering a lot about our announcement of our new demo! Mostly, when it’s coming out. I would like to personally say thank you to those who are waiting patiently, and we'd just like to say that we're still on track with releasing it Soon™. We're still plugging away, but a minor game-breaking bug had set us back for a bit. We’ve since patched that out, so once we get the finishing touches on the demo, we’ll be releasing it here on Steam! Stay tuned right here for more info on that announcement.
The Final(ish) Main Menu!
We'd also like to take this time to clarify what you’ll be able to do in the demo. The demo will be more or less an
alpha "stress-test." The game represented in the demo is still nowhere near final, and it will offer one level to play on, with all of the current item types. It will be a jumping off point for us, as we’ve never truly gotten the game in it’s current state into the hands of our incredibly diverse community, so we’re hoping you’ll help us out in developing a game you want to play by leaving us feedback! We’ll have a feedback form available for you if you want to help us find what’s good, and what’s bad about Sparkour. We’ll also offer a bug report form through this same system.
To access our feedback form, simply click the “feedback” button on the main menu and it'll open Google Forms in your browser.
Let's Get Stylish
Now, I would like to address some features that I think haven’t given the light of day enough. One thing in particular I think a lot of you will enjoy is the
Customizer.
A quick peek at the Customizer's UI!
The Customizer is a fancy way of saying “Character Creator.” What I set out to do with Sparkour was to accommodate every player and make them feel at home in Sparkour. From a growing options list to a slew of controllers supported, I want to make sure everyone feels like they fit in. And with the Customizer, you can express your own sense of style. We’re going to offer different types of clothes to wear, from colorful scarves to wonderful wigs, throughout the updates we’ll bring in more accessories, hair-doos, and t-shirts for you and your friends to enjoy!
Not only will you be able to modify clothes, but we’ll also allow you to customize your character’s proportions and body form, which can actually have an affect on gameplay. So thinner, lighter characters will have more speed and agility, but bigger characters have the ability to steamroll people off ledges. This feature is still in development, and may not be available during the demo or at launch.
A preview of a hairstyle you'll get to choose from in the final game.
Speaking of the demo, we will have a limited selection of clothes and accessories, and some control over your character’s body, but not a whole lot; We're still finishing stuff up over here, so keep with us for updates in the future.
Looking To The Future
For right now, that’s all we’ve got to show off. I know this was a pretty short update, but next update, I think we'll be able to show off some of the awesome levels you'll get to play in the final game! We’ll continue updating you folks via Twitter, so go ahead and follow us there! Like I said, once the demo is finalized and everything is in place, you will all get your first chance to play Sparkour, and help us finish the game. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more!
Love you all,
Casey.
