It’s finally here! The Void Invaders Ultra Update (version 1.7.0) is now live. Here’s a list of all the new features and changes: New features (in-game) Hardcore Mode

• 30 new enemies
• 2 new bosses

• Hardcore player

New skin with rainbow (!!!) bullets Various other things we probably forgot to mention New features (other) Scrolling leaderboards View leaderboards from the main menu Screenshake slider Vsync setting Gamepad vibration Auto-fire setting Gamepad control re-mapping Alienware AlienFX support Logitech ARX Control support Improvements Improved keyboard and gamepad controls Improved menu Improved statistics screen Improved extras screen Optimisation and performance improvements Bug fixes Key map changes through the pause menu are now correctly applied Linux! We’ve finally managed to port Void Invaders to Linux! Right now, the official supported distros are Debian and its most common variants, including Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Lubuntu. Other distributions may work, but you’ll have to install the required libraries manually, and we currently can’t offer support. If you use Debian (or one of its friends), you can use the “Play install dependencies” launch option to install necessary libraries, after which the game can be played. Linux-specific bugs can be reported here. Many thanks to our friend Flippylosaurus who helped with troubleshooting and who created the install scripts. About Music Mode We’d like to apologise again for Music Mode not being released with this update. Real life got in the way and we didn’t find time to turn it into something worth playing. That’s why we decided to postpone it indefinitely. That’s all folks! We’re pretty sure that this will be the last major update for Void Invaders (though we’ll stick around and try to fix any bugs you may find). We’ve had a great time working on Void Invaders, but everything comes to an end. After having worked on it for nearly two years, we’re ready to start working on something new. Having a game on Steam truly has been an amazing experience, so thank you all for supporting us. We also genuinely hope you guys will enjoy the new update.
