NOTE: Because of agreements with our online service provider, there are certain regions that are unable to connect to Rocket League®’s online multiplayer component. SteamOS and Mac Beta Versions
As of September 8, 2016, the SteamOS and Mac versions of Rocket League® were released to "Beta." SteamOS is the only "officially" supported Linux client, though other Linux platforms may be compatible. Likewise, the Mac version may or may not work on older systems with an integrated video solution and a dedicated GPU is highly recommended (Macs from 2013 or after should be okay). Mac system requirements are as follows:

- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: OpenGL 4.1 - ATI Radeon HD 5670, NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M, Intel HD Graphics 4000 or Iris Pro Graphics
Be sure and check ongoing patch notes for SteamOS and Mac beta updates going forward. Listed below are all known issues for both versions of the game as of September 8, 2016:
- The correct store page for DLC purchased through the Showroom doesn’t show up for Big Picture users. This is a Steam client-specific issue that Valve will be fixing in an upcoming patch
- There are occasional crashes when exiting from a match to the main menu
- The statues in Urban Central do not display correctly
- You may experience intermittent blurring issues
- (Mac Only) Xbox 360 controllers won’t work. You will need a third-party driver solution to use them

Last month we announced Fiesta Latina! , and now alongside Rocket Street , were introducing Goals for Change: Campeonato de las Amricas, an online invitational tournament that begins October 4.
Streamers from all over the Americas will battle it out in three phases of competition, with the Finals taking place on October 13. Instead of a traditional prize pool, the winners will receive part of a $25,000 prize pool to donate toward a cause of their choice!
The Campeonato de las Amricas tournament will be broadcast in English on the official Rocket League Twitch channel , and in Spanish on the Rocket Street Twitch Channel .
Event Schedule
- Phase 1 | Oct. 4 - 6: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m PDT (10 p.m. to 2 a.m. UTC)

Phase 1 begins with over 50 streamers competing in 2v2. This Phase will be Double Elimination, with the top eight teams passing on to Phase 2.
In Phase 2, eight new streamers will join the tournament as captains, drafting teammates from the 16 competitors remaining from Phase 1. Players will need to dust off their Extra Modes skills, as this phase features Modes such as Rumble, Heatseeker, Hoops, and more!
will have two groups of four teams competing in a 3v3 Round-Robin Format. The two highest-scoring teams from each group will move on to the finals. Points will be awarded as follows: 3 points for winning, 1 point for an overtime loss, and 0 points for a loss. Finals will take place in a mixed Modes, best of five series. Chat will choose the Game Mode of the first match. When a team loses, they get a chance to stir things up by picking the Game Mode for the next match. Make it all the way to the end, and the crown is yours.
