We spent 2 years developing Kaiju Panic which was a bit of a passion project for us as it was our first game as a studio. Launching on 2 platforms simultaneously as extremely hard work and exhausting but also exhilarating. While we're busy with VR these days we've also been working on a PS4 and Wii U port for Kaiju Panic and look at any potential spin off titles we could do with the game lore or mechanics. To celebrate the anniversary of the launch of our first title we're dropping the price of Kaiju Panic permanently so that more people can enjoy the game we poured so much of our time and love into. Thanks! Mechabit Team

Hi potential beta testers, Big update today! We've added co-op to the steam beta branch. To opt-in you right click on the game in your library and click on the beta tab and select the beta branch from the drop down menu. (no password) Screenshot You can then play Kaiju Panic in local couch co-op in campaign and endless modes by pressing "A" on a 2nd gamepad or "Enter" on a keyboard if player 1 is using the gamepad. There are still some bugs to squash so if you have any feedback please post them on the steam forums. We'll push these changes to the main branch after a few weeks. Other changes include Chinese language options. P.S. We're exhibiting at GDC on stand 1016 if you're attending. Drop by and see what cool stuff we're working on!

We've launched the endless update which adds daily challenge mode to the game! On the main menu you'll find a new button called Endless which generates a new map every day which is the same for every player so you'll be able to compete for score on the daily global leaderboards. This mode is slightly different in that you'll have to find tech crates that randomly appear on the map which will unlock a new random tech. You'll also have to keep an eye out for survivor pods and crystal nodes that randomly appear around the map. (Tech and survivor lists are the same for each person that day). Can you adapt to a random set of tech and survivor skills each day and get the highest score? Any science points earned in endless mode also carries over to the story campaign which will help you unlock more tech if you're finding the current level a bit difficult. Co-op and other modes will be added soon after this update. Happy Holidays!

Fixed a couple issues in the last update: *Mac OSX launch bug *Level 5.3 side mission *Missiles lock onto burrowed Kaiju Added a new HUD element when you've got "show paths" turned on to remind you what button to press in-game and when it's available. Also some minor balance tweaks. We're making progress on the endless and co-op modes, screenshots to come. Keep Calm and Carry On

Another small but important update: *Added Polish language *New font *Pressing "Eject All" also closes the slotting menu *Blob gun gets unlocked sooner *Added an option to show Kaiju Paths This is the important one. It's set to default off as it changes the game significantly from the intended panic inducing design. Why are we doing it? Some people just prefer having more information about their strategy games and now they can choose to play how they like. Consider it easy mode. To activate it go to the options screen and click the new check box for "Show Paths". Start a mission and wait for the early warning icons to start appearing. You'll immediately get a single line pulse that signifies the attack direction and path. To view the pulse again hold the Tab or LB button. The paths are estimates as each kaiju will find their own way to your base. We didn't want to have this ability as a research unlock as that wouldn't solve the early level frustration for some people. Also people who like a challenge will just naturally buy the upgrade out of curiosity or completion-ism but I feel that it changes the core gameplay enough that not everyone would enjoy it. This way you can turn it on from the start or leave it off or turn it on just for the difficult to beat levels. As always, keep your feedback and suggestions coming!

Hello everyone, Thanks for all the positive reviews! Keep 'em coming :) We've watched the streams, videos and reviews and have taken into account a lot of feedback for this small update: *Science points gain tweak *Early missions tweaked for smoother difficulty curve *SP drop life slightly longer *Hide slotting menu when building something *Hide blueprint when you die *Cost of buildings appear under the blueprint so you can monitor the cost ramping *Disabled harvester selling on 1.1 to avoid confusion Linux Beta!
