It's a busy day in the dungeons.

Acolytes chanting, goats bleating, adventurers screaming and that sort thing. Everyone is worked up about Desktop Dungeons: Rewind. It's the same brutal bitesized gameplay with remastered graphics and fancy spells and whistles like the Rewind feature: suddenly monsters have to to kill a hero MULTIPLE TIMES! Not very sporting to give them a second chance like that in my infernal opinion.

Thanks to the work of a dedicated collection of serial adventurers, Desktop Dungeons is now playable in Simplified Chinese. We salute their tireless efforts by making all generated dungeons extra hard (not really) for the next week. We've also added a couple of bugfixes, see the community for a detailed list.

Half-Dragons are no longer infinite Tikki Tooki piety fountains if there are plants around. Sorry if you needed that to win, or something. Stop scumming and get better! Did you know that you could attack Evolvia (the Shifting Passages shape-shifting boss) after drinking a Reflex Potion and sometimes just straight up DIE as a result? Long story short, sometimes Evolvia could shapeshift to a Deathgaze form before hitting you. Yeah I know, roguelikes, right? That can't happen anymore... We've knuckled down and spent some time tracking the obscurest of bugs these last few weeks. Many things have been fixed and we've even cleaned up some of the niggling or weird gameplay things that were still lurking below the surface. Quick set of bug fixes and some tweaks to stability when syncing over poor internet connections. Changelog:

• Added recovery of quests and items if a crash is detected between reaching the Score Screen, and loading the Kingdom Screen
• Fixed a bug where restarting a dungeon could cause the game to get stuck in locked state.
• Fixed a bug that prevented potion information from appearing when selecting potions in a potion shop that you didn’t already have in your inventory.
• Fixed a crash bug in Cursed Oasis

A strange new monster has appeared! First sightings say that this "Artiste" doesn't have a normal trophy, instead leaving behind strangely compelling cards and a new form of sorcery that our wizards have been calling "emoticons". Bezar has been grinning in a most disquieting fashion. We're taking this as a good sign. Steam cards should now randomly drop as you're playing Desktop Dungeons, enjoy!
