Version 0.8.1136 (defense mode test branch)

This patch introduces the new bridge map to defense mode, it still has a few minor bugs once those are fixed I'll be adding it to the campaign/survival modes as well.

Changes


  • Added new bridge map for defense mode
  • Adjusted all weapons in defense mode
  • Adjusted enemies in defense mode
  • Added different mob AI for defense mode
  • Adjusted path finding for AI in defense mode
  • Adjusted prices in defense mode shop
  • Added rewards for finishing waves (these don't count when restarting a wave)
  • Added new groundtype for defense mode
  • Added healthbars to turrets (except the cheapest one)
  • Adjusted cameras for bridge map
  • Restarting in defense mode now restarts the last wave (will add option to start from first later on).
  • Improved grenade launcher in Campaign/Survival
  • Improved slicer in Campaign/Survival
  • Improved hit box for alien dog in all modes
  • Fixed particles disappearing on large explosions with particles set on extreme
  • Fixed reflection probes

How to enable the defense mode test

  • Go to Steam Library
  • Right click on Critical Annihilation
  • Click on Properties in the popup menu
  • Click on the [Beta] tab in the screen that pops up
  • It'll show a page with a dropdown to select a beta version, select "defense" (You can go back at any time by selecting "None" here)
  • Close the window and it'll start applying the patch[/olist]

    • Critical Annihilation is a Twin-Stick SHMUP (Shoot-em Up) made entirely out of tiny voxels. We take advantage of voxel technology to hype up the explosive gameplay. Everything is destructible to its core. As your home planet gets invaded by aliens you decide to take up arms with the rest of the planet and annihilate every single alien in site. As you progress in the game you'll bring yourself to whole new planets like the Moon and Mars until you've reached the aliens Mothership. Why exactly are these cliche aliens attacking your cliche planet in the good old fashion cliche way? It's for you to find out as you destroy every cube of their being. This is the same game played by popular youtubers Markiplier and JackSepticEye; Critical Mass. Now with updated art and updated code to bring you a more full, and action packed experience.
