Today we are announcing that Moonlit Mayhem will be retired from the steam store. After 7 years the game has simply stopped showing any sales or activity and we're planning on discontinuing its availability as we have no plans to support or update this game for the indefinite future. For those who purchased and enjoyed the game, thank you for your support! Happy Halloween!
Hi everyone! Due to certain sale policies on steam, we won't be able to participate in the Halloween sale this year, however, you can get the game on Itch.io at the discounted price of $1.00
Steam keys for the game will be included with every purchase there, so if you've been curious about the game you can get it for super cheap now through November 1st!
However if you don't want to make your purchase on Itch.io, we will be having a Post-Halloween sale in early November!
Get it now on Itch:

Hey everyone! Here's another update, I've tried to refine a few more things with the difficulty and change some small things here and there, I've also tried to add some more sound design to aid with that.
Here are the full patch notes for this update, as per usual:
Moonlit Mayhem Version 1.03 - **Addendum**
______________________________________
Update - 10/21/2016
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patch Notes:
- Enemies will now attack from slightly further away, giving the player a little more room in order to avoid pileups
- In-game graphics config menu has been added **Removed because it was causing a game-breaking glitch at the main menu, will try to implement properly in a later update**
- Slight difficulty adjustments in story mode
- Sound design re-worked, zombie-type enemies should make an audible noise now and most enemies are louder
- Added ?????
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next Update TBD

Hi everyone, thanks for your interest in our game, I've been taking into account a lot of everyone's critique and have been working to fix the major technical issues as well as attempting to implement some new design elements as well.
I want to re-iterate as well that this game was not cobbled together from premade or purchased assets. Many people have been making that accusation and I want to dispel it right here. You can search the Unity Store, Turbosquid, any online place where you might buy visual game assets, you will NOT find anything featured in this game. This was in development for over a year by only two people, with most of the work being done by myself, and we created nearly every visual asset from scratch, I even created the typeface for the logo and in-game text myself. That being said, I'd like to apologize to early buyers for any experience that was probably marred by techincal issues and game-breaking glitches. Because we are a small team, a lack of outside testing lead to a myriad of problems at launch. However, I am happy to say that now, after about a week of feedback and work to improve the game, that it's in a much better state than it was last Wednesday when we went live. I'd like to thank Jim Sterling and other critics for their early coverage of the game, if it weren't for that many of the major bugs might have gone unnoticed for too long. More updates will be coming in the weeks leading up to Halloween, though they may not be as comprehensive as this one I'd like to take the time to tackle further, smaller issues that are bogging down the gameplay experience. I also expect that maybe more bugs will come to light as people continue to play and I want to let the community know that this is not some kind of cash grab, but a product that I care about and will continue to update and optimize as time goes on. Thank you all for your support! Here are the patch notes for Update 1.01 ______________________________________ Moonlit Mayhem Version 1.01 ______________________________________ Update - 10/10/2016 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Notes: - Fixed cursor disappearing glitch while paused and in the main menu - Fixed black screen glitch that was the result of scenes loading in a paused state - Projectiles from the Candy Cannon are no longer affected by player's forward movement - All weapons have had their projectile physics re-balanced - Difficulty in all modes has been re-balanced - Slow-motion feature has been added to Arena Mode - Pause glitch where enemies continued to move towards player has been fixed - Objective text has been added to each level in story mode to clarify level goals - Maze Mode has been reformatted to randomly pull from a pool of functioning mazes rather than procedurally generate mazes that often resulted in broken ones - Fixed visible seam on bottom of title screen logo - Removed "Watch Intro" button from main menu due to crashing issues ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Update TBD (probably around Oct. 14th) The next main issue that I'll be tackling is the elevator collision glitches in World 3-2. Thank you to those of you who have stuck with me this first week and helped to expose these issues! And Happy October!
