This update fixes a Multiplayer bug that may corrupt stories. If you have a corrupted story due to this, try pressing the Quest key (Q) 3 times in the "Game Paused" menu. This will ask if you want to "repair" the story, which will reset certain parts that hopefully will get things back on track. v1.95 also includes changes for VR, particularly for the Oculus Touch. Hands are swapped when using OpenVR & directions have been inverted/sensitivity reduced when using the "Thumbsitck" mode (set in Input Config). This is currently on the [beta] branch, so give it a go!

This update brings native OSVR support, enables another music track & adds a virtual reality "thumbstick" option that should improve Oculus Touch compatibility. To test the native OSVR plugin, run the game with a single "osvr" (without quotes) argument. I fixed a bug that caused the 5th music track to not play -- you should hear it now! When playing in VR, and you want to use Oculus Touch controllers, try setting the "Thumb Mode" to "Thumbstick" under "Input Config". Vive wands have a Touchpad, which is the default "Thumb Mode". This update is currently on the [BETA] branch, so you'll need to opt-in via 5089 -> Properties -> Betas.

I'm suspecting a bug was introduced in the last update which improved "room scale" mode movement, but broke mixed/sitting touchpad movement. Keyboard movement shouldn't be affected. The issue was reported here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/414510/discussions/0/359543951715754957/ A fix is now available on the beta branch! I'm still testing this update, since it includes a jMonkeyEngine update too. If you have a Vive & want to use Mixed or Sitting mode with a Vive wand, opt-in to "betas" in 5089's properties to try it out. Let me know how it goes!

The quick-teleport feature is better! Thanks to this suggestion, the teleport ball will shoot in the direction your wand is pointing, and no longer where you press on the touchpad. This will give you better vertical control & simply be more intuitive. v1.87 also includes an update to OpenVR 1.0.2

This update increases the range you can move your "control" Vive wand without pausing the game or opening the inventory. To pause, your controller needs to be closer to the floor, and to open the inventory, your control hand needs to raise further over your head. Keep in mind, you can have your weapon hand anywhere without pausing or opening the inventory.

The "oriented action" feature is a common source of confusion when using the Vive wands in VR. This update clears up just what that button will do, depending on how your Vive wand is oriented. The labeled wand will now update what the action will be, as you oriented the wand in different directions in realtime. For example, when pointing the wand up, it will say "Oriented Action (Stealth)", indicating it will toggle stealth mode. This should help improve the intuitiveness of many important functions that use this input method!

This update includes many backend updates & VR updates.
- Increased melee range (for both you & ant bots)
- Melee weapons are now automatic (holding standard attack will repeatedly attack, also really helpful for VR)
- Extended the range to interact with stations & bots. This should also really help in VR when trying to position yourself close to things
- Moved labels closer to the center when viewing the map in VR (easier to see nearby stations etc.)
- Removed energy use of teleporting tools in VR (since they are so often integral to general movement)
- Smoothed out cursor control when using the Vive wand touchpad
- Updated the map viewing system for better use in VR
- Updated to the latest jMonkeyEngine, LWJGL & Java builds
- Fixed a typo when using Backup stations
- VR: Enabled the physics box around the player in Room Scale mode, so bots won't walk through you (and you can push them by walking into them)
- VR: Improved the "Reset VR Pose" option to also show in the "Input" menu, but only when Sitting/Mixed modes are enabled
- VR: Rocketing into the sky in room scale mode should be fixed (introduced in v1.72)
- VR: Map user interface follows your gaze, just like the cursor, now
- Fixed homing projectiles going through bots at a distance (again)
- Invetory & other dialogs will cause grappling hooks and other items to disable (which prevents lots of weird behavior & crashes)
- Tweaked group AI so they should better respond to threats as a group
- Positional audio with charging weapons should be fixed
- Physics: switched to a different "broadphase" method, which should be faster (although stability will have to be closely monitored)
- VR: No more blurry underwater effect, which just messed up the interface. Instead, just a blue overlay is used (which will also be faster)
- VR: Adjusted gun holding angle
- Graphics: fixed UV mapping on the bottom of platform towers
- Fixed telelocator ball physics collisions with player (also should fix VR quick-access inconsistencies)
- VR rain fix attempt (doesn't seem to work yet)
- VR: Made a change to hopefully fix rain in VR... testing.
- VR: Fixes to construction tool use
- VR: Updated to OpenVR v1.0.0
- Grappling hook & other projectiles will now disable when entering the map
- Fixed a crash caused by a SetDamagedBy problem, could have happened randomly
- VR: Fixed some interactions when in VR (storage containers, locked hatches etc.)

This update adds a click-through when creating a new game, notifying players of the in-game guides, community hub guides & reiterates how important it is to read the short popups. This should help make sure new users don't miss these important materials! - Changed teleporting to require a touchpad press, instead of simply touching it (should address issues of accidental activation).
- You'll now start games closer to the ground, so you won't need to fall to floor or teleport there (in room-scale mode).
- Raised the main & pause menus to the player's height in room-scale mode.
- Lowered pop-up messages & timers when in virtual reality (to make them easier to see).
- Moved UPnP initialization to another thread, which will hopefully free up the startup process & avoid Vive display issues.

- Locked player movement bug introduced in v1.61 should be fixed.
- Cleaned up spawn points around rocks, so bots ending up inside rocks should be much less likely (hopefully never!).
- VR: tweaked startup pausing on lost focus setting, which *hopefully* will improve the inconsistent, sporadic reports of visual problems with the Vive.
- Added more protection against spawning robots before physics are generated, hopefully this will reduce bots ending up inside or below buildings.
- OpenVR libraries will no longer try to load on 32bit machines.

v1.60 makes telelocator & decoy beacons "solid" when hitting other robots. Previously, they just rolled through, which could be abused (particularly inside towers) or cause physics oddities when teleporting "inside" other robots. v1.59 should fix a problem with projectiles (particularly homing ones) going through small robots at a distance. This update should fix bots, items and other things from staying below base floors. Very rarely, something will accidentally fall beneath the floor. This used to cause problems converting bases since enemies were in unreachable areas. Now if something like this is detected, it will be moved to a better place automatically. I'm trying to track down a bug that causes the main menu to smear on some setups. If it happens to you, sometimes turning on & off some effects will clear it up. The pause menu & game while playing won't be affected.
- Improved cursor control & speed when using the Vive touchpad.
- Telelocator ball & grappling hook will now pickup items for you: very useful in virtual reality!
- Enabling stealth will automatically toggle off any hoverboard.
- Updated Steamworks API libraries.
- Fixed a crash when using "" as a key.

- Fixed a crash when building structures in otherwise empty areas.
- Improved the map cursor, especially in virtual reality.
- Added a 5089-novr.bat launcher that will run the game without virtual reality, even if a headset is detected.
- Updated mouse control system in virtual reality; Vive cursor control should be more reliable even if the 5089 window isn't on top.
- Disabled ambient occlusion & cartoon effects while in the map, which helps map performance (the effects generally are not seen anyway from a distance).

5089 has received a bunch of updates, all tightening up the gameplay, visuals & particularly as of late: virtual reality! A new video was produced to quickly go over how the game works with your shiny new virtual reality headset. - HTC Vive use should now default to "room scale" if the option wasn't changed before.
- Experimenting with quick-access telelocator use via the Vive wand's trackpad when in "room scale" mode.
