Hello, enjoyers of Happy Hobgoblin's labor fruits! To save you some time in you busy schedule, the summary of this post is that Happy Hobgoblin is going to dissolve and all its games, including this one, will be taken off Steam Store. If you already own it, nothing will change. Now, the reason for this is that due to the difficulty of game development (actually, game sales) and the pandemic, the people at Happy Hobgoblin have decided slowly to move on to other industries or other projects. It was nothing dramatic, just a natural growth. Nobody also wanted the responsibility of all the administrative bureaucracy, taxes and other legally mandated things, so we decided to dissolve the company and distribute the IP's to the people who in our minds should own them. Thus, this decision. While in principle it is sad, for a lot of us it's a relief, as now we can focus our lives fully on the next parts, so don't feel sad. Hopefully this was informative and educational, and again, thank you for playing our games! Respectfully, Samuli Raninen

Small bug fix patch to address most critical issues with an added bonus of more character names. - Fixed couple of bugs that caused the game to freeze - Minor UI tweaks - Added ~800 more names to character name pool
So what next?
It has been exciting to see people play and enjoy the game, but watching the let's plays in youtube made us realize that the game's help system is far from perfect. We are working on overhauling the whole tutorial and moving a lot of the game mechanic explanations to separate help window. You can then check out the help when ever you need more information about something, instead of the tutorial spamming text on your face, page after page. In addition there's going to be some tooltips when hovering over elements, which again should make the whole learning experience more intuitive and less wall of text. If there are some specific things you find confusing and not well explained in the current tutorial, feel free to drop a comment or write on the forum about it. Thanks for everyone who bought the game and happy surviving! ːsteamhappyː

- Nyheim Linux [333.12 M]
Nyheim is a game of risk management and rolling dice. In Nyheim you will gather a group of survivors, each contributing one or more eight-sided dice to the party. When you rest or explore in a location, you roll the dice and attempt to get the results that cards in the location require. Food, items and skills will grant you rerolls and ways to manipulate the dice, while injuries, threats and hardships will reroll them when you don't want to or remove them altogether!
Your ultimate goal is to survive through the winter, gather enough population, or rebuild Nyheim's hydroelectric dam. Crises, threats and ever-looming threat of starvation will make the road to victory harsh and unforgiving.
