The Middle World was made for the men to dwell, and the Upper World was were the ancient gods would reside. Multitudes of spirits dwell among the layers of creation, guarding their secrets in the dark. Embark on a journey through all the worlds of ancient myth, find artefacts of Chud' tribes and solve all the mysteries of finno-ugric tales.
You are the Mooseman and you have the ability to see all that is hidden to the mortal eye. You are about to visit three layers of this universe - the first one is the Lower World where the spirits of the dead reside.

WHAT IS THE BLACK BOOK?
Black Book is an RPG/Adventure game, where you take on the role of a young witch named Vasilisa. As you explore the small towns and villages of early XXth century Russia, youll face iconic creatures from Russian mythology. Some will aid you on your way, or even join you on your journey; others will threaten your body and soul - and youll get to battle them using a card-based combat system.WHAT IS THE GAMES STORY?
At a young age, Vasilisa stepped forth onto the path to witchhood - and startedlearning under an experienced sorcerer, known across the land for aiding folk in need.
During her training, Vasya met a young man, and immediately fell in love. She decided to stop her pursuits and marry him - but her dreams are shattered when her betrothed dies under mysterious circumstances.
To revive her deceased love, Vasilisa needs to unlock the seven seals of the Black Book - a centuries-old artifact, passed down from Witches of the past.
Throughout the game, she will come face-to-face with the destructive influence of black magic. Will she surrender to dark forces and become a lost witch - or will she atone for selling her soul to the dark?
