Hello everybody! My name is Carol and I’m the creator of Green Mirror, its director, writer and artist (among other things too! :P). As I mentioned in my las update, I think it will be quite positive to try to explain how this game has evolved since it was created, almost four years ago. It all started as a project between a “friend” and I. The game’s story was completely different but it still was a point and click horror adventure in which we were working for a year… At least, I was, because my partner abandoned the game soon after that time lapse. I joined forces with a small company that decided to try to adopt the project but, to avoid legal issues with my former partner, they asked me to create a new game from scratch, but adding, at the same time, some restrictions. The game had to be short to develop and would be used as a test to create larger games of the same style in the future. I complied in a record time because I wanted to start working asap and it all started well. I was able to create most of the assets quite fast and they decided to launch the greenlight campaign (Although, in my opinion, it was too soon) to try to gain some visibility because, as they thought, the game wouldn’t take many time to develop. They were wrong. After another year, they abandoned the project because, being working in another title, they were only able to create the intro scene. I found myself with the game already ready to be in Steam’s store, but without no programming done… We were a really small indie team; we couldn’t create hype with a humble game like ours and expect people to wait for years to try it as the big companies do…. But, with most of the art done, I still was stubborn enough to continue trying. With most of the art assets finished, I joined forces with some good friends that tried to help with the game…. And they really did!! In one year, the game was in pre alpha state, we had a small demo and some people asked us to try it. But then… when it was time to start working in details, bug squashing and improving the player’s experience… they abandoned the game too. I must admit I felt terrible at the time, but was so close to finish that I didn’t want to give up, so I turned to reddit to find some crazy new partners to try to finally finish the game. And there I found GlumpyFish, a pair of awesome guys that decided to go on with the game’s creation. The last problem we encountered was our inability to use the code we already had, done in Unity, so we decided to use Godot and start from scratch. And that’s were Green Mirror’s latest adventure started. With only the programming remaining to finish the game, GlumpyFish started working in it as hard and fast as they can and, if everything goes as planned, we will release it this year. I’m not trying to give you, the players, excuses, I just wanted to share with you this information so you don’t think that we are neglecting the game. We have our everyday lives and jobs and, whenever we find some free time, we try to make Green Mirror a worthy experience. I really hope that, somehow, we manage to impress you when you play it, because, believe it or not, we’re trying to give the best of us and we're determined to, at least publish it. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this small bible I just wrote and for keep following our progress! :)

Hello, patient players! It seems that the game appeared in the "new releases" section again, so we must say sorry again because of this new inconvenience. Even if we have our release date set as "soon", sometimes, steam decides a date by itself and that's why the game has appeared in the releases a pair of times. I've set the date for 40 years from now, so I hope it won't happen again! (And I also hope that the game is out this year and not in 40!) XD As a small update, we've found some help to try and work a little faster, so we're excited about our new working pace. We can't still give any dates because we want to be really careful with that matter, so... I don't have any exact news on that. What I can say is that the game has really improved in quality from our last build so, in that particular case, the wait will be beneficial. I will try to add some new content if that doesn't mean spend some extra time until release so, please, be patient. I'm also a gamer and I'm always anxious about releases, but I ask you to understand all the difficulties we've encountered since we had to start from scratch. At least, if we ever manage to create another game, this won't happen again. That's all for now, our patient players! I will try to find some other ways to compensate your patience! Talk to you soon... and with better news, I hope!

Hello to all our patient followers, The game is still progressing, slow but steady (remember we had to redo all the programming from scratch). All the basic scenes structure is already done, so now we're adding content. We are very optiomistic about the future end product, but we can't give any orientative release date because we're not sure about it ourselves. We want to thank you profusely for your patience and we hope you'll enjoy the game when it's out. After all the problems the project has gone through, that's all we want, something to be fairly proud of. Again, thanks a lot and I'll keep you updated with as much info as possible in the future!

Hi everyone! We've been a bit busy this last months trying to solve some problems that appeared during production but, fear not, the game is still going to be released although, sadly, later than we wanted. Some of the team members had to abandon the project and, hence, we spent some time searching for the awesome replacements that will take care of Green Mirror from now on: Glumpy Fish! Even though they will have to program the game from scratch, the development is going smoothly and they hope they won't spend many months preparing the game to be perfect for the release date and for you to play it! We want to avoid the delay as much as possible, so we've decided to divide the game in two chapters so we can focus in both parts separately and you're able to enjoy the first half asap. We'll try to keep in touch more often so you can have some news about the release date and we must thank you for your the interest and kindness you show during this time! We've received many emails asking for the game and that has been encouraging us to keep on working with all our energies, so, again, thank you all!
