Hey everyone!
Today we finished a first patch, which fixes many issues that you guys reported to us.We are happy about the hundreds of messages, comments and emails! Thank you for the all the great and constructive feedback, as well as all the praise and wishes (which of course we try to implement gradually). If there is one thing that we want to do better, then it is to develop the game continuously with you together! And that is exactly what we are going to do.
Of course, we have also read and heard your reviews regarding performance and bugs, and are already diligent in fixing these errors! But we still need your help, because we want to finally improve Virtual Rides 3 with you together! So keep writing to us, with bugs you've noticed and how you got them - best via Facebook or E-Mail.
Now here is the changelog for version 1.0.2:
- Fixed the many many redundant cameras on some rides (especially the Flying Swing) [this could also lead to crashes on the respective tile, so also for the Hurricane ride]
- Fixed strange physics on the Casino Swing ride
- Fixed issues with music player, especially crashes when only selecting one song + random song selection
- Fixed jingle UI breaking in certain situations (thus not showing second page)
- Fixed bug where shopping cart would show zero as a sum constantly, even with new parts activated
- Fixed pressing spacebar activating last UI element
- Fixed that settings screen would not open in main menu on OSX + Linux
- Fixed people don't stop vomiting in certain situations
- Fixed error log spamming (decreasing performance on some PCs)
- Adjusted follower cameras, to offer greater variety (+ less signs in the viewport)
- Added keyboard controls for microphone (- and , Key currently [- is with echo])
- Reduced the frequency of the bottle opening ambient sound
We know that this is just a part of all reported issues, but it should fix some major issues. We’ll now starts working on the next patch.
Important: Many of you complained about performance, we are aware of that. In order to improve this in all cases, we still need some time. But we know that there is one present bug: The loading screen disappears while still loading, so often it is loading without showing the loading screen. If you notice lag in these situations (e.g. teleporting to another ride or walking to another tile), then it is still loading and not a performance problem - please don’t mix these things up. Furthermore we’d appreciate when you would try to adjusting the graphic settings, until it works best on your machine. Probably we’ll add an auto-benchmarker, which automatically detects the best settings for your hardware.
