Cross-platform Cloud Saves

Soon we'll be making some changes in order to support cross-platform cloud saves between Windows, MacOS, and Linux (including the Steam Deck)! This is planned to occur on Monday, 15th of August at 05:00 (UTC). These changes will replace the MacOS and Linux cloud save locations, and all platforms will use the existing Windows save location. This will have a few side effects:

MacOS and Linux users will need to play the game once for Steam to upload their existing local save files to cloud storage
Windows users should not need to do anything, except:
Cross-platform users who manually migrated their save files between platforms may have conflicting files. When steam prompts you to keep or overwrite your files it is important to choose the correct one carefully (which will depend on your own situation). If in doubt, back up your save files first!

Help: missing save files

In some edge cases it may appear that your save files are missing. First, confirm that they can't be found at the locations above. You can manually download save files from the Steam Cloud website and place them in their relevant locations.
