Winemakers!
It's so good to see our community grow day by day. In our journey to providing you with as rich and fulfilling a game as we can make, we are happy to announce a big new update in Terroir v2.2 today.
So here's a quick rundown of what you'll find in this new version:
New Grape Varieties
We've got 2 new grape varieties: Sémillon and Grenache. Sémillon is a white wine grape variety, and Grenache makes reds. They're perfectly fins on their own, and you can make 5-star wines out of them. But to really make the most out of them, you'll need an extra step in the winemaking process.

Sémillon can be made into a sweet wine (inspired by the famous sweet wines of Sauternes and Barsac) that, if rated by the most prestigious wine critics, is the most expensive wine in the game. To create it, you'll have to do something most of you dread - allow Fungal Rot to infect the grape. At the end of every month, the Fungal Rot has a chance to turn into
Noble Rot. When you harvest Sémillon with the Noble Rot status effect, your wine turns into sweet wine, and if the ideal characteristics are met, you're all set.

Grenache allows you to make the world-famous Rosé types of wine. The process is simpler - all you need to do is make sure you select the Vin Gris Crushing method in the crushing stage of the winemaking process.
Sémillon and Grenache have their own categories at the Wine Awards, while Grenache Rosé and Noble Rot Sémillon can be entered into Best in Craft.
Uprooting Vines and Selling Tiles
You can now uproot planted vines in your Planting Tiles by clicking on the tile and pressing the UPROOT button. Please bear in mind that the vine will be gone for good, and you won't get money for it.
You can also sell any of your owned tiles (except your Estate, of course). You'll get 50% of what you paid for the tile back, and the newly-sold tile will have its re-roll history reset.
Other Additions
There's a new
Wine Log, which can be accessed by clicking on its icon in your upper icon tray. The icon is shown below:

The Wine Log will show you all the wines you've ever bottled, their characteristics, flavors, rating and price. This will make it easy to keep track of your winemaking progress.
We've also added a progress bar below the month on your right hand panel. This will show you how much time is left before the month is up, therefore making it easier to manage your canopy as you'll know when a weather cycle is about to happen (remember, a weather cycle happens at the beginning and middle of each month).
We've added new Steam achievements as well, which you'll find in the game's Steam client page.
Updates and Fixes
We've updated the text tutorial to include all of these new changes - it's still the best way to learn about the game's mechanics and features, so make sure you use it often.
We've updated the weather system once again to lessen the chances of rain during the summer months.
We've also fixed a few minor bugs, including one involving the Automated Tile Worker.
Well, that's it from us - we're looking forward to hearing what you think. Let us know on the discussion boards, and if you run into any difficulties or issues, please let us know. If you like the game so far, please don't forget to leave us a review!
Happy gaming, winemakers!
