Hi there! So for the past year and a half I've been working on Gnomes vs. Fairies 2: Moons of Ventocia, and I've learned a lot in the process and I'm about to release a major update for Gnomes vs. Fairies that fixes a lot of what I didn't know enough to know sucked about it! This includes the players acceleration and movement speed, a COMPLETE overhaul of the camera. (Oh how did you people put up with such a terrible camera for so long?) and many more little fixes and changes and improvements. I will NOT be fixing the speedrunning bugs or exploits that the speedrunning community enjoys so much, but my next game you'll have a harder time, although I'm excited to see what you make of it! My big question is this: I'm thinking of sunsetting the online portion of the game. It's not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just the player base is way too small and I almost never see anyone else online. I just feel like it's a waste of people's time to go in and never get to see anyone. Would anyone miss the online play I've added if I took it away? Thanks for your input! Also, follow development of my next game, Moons of Ventocia on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/Moons-of-Ventocia-258731811389300/ and twitter here: https://twitter.com/moonsofventocia Dano
Set 1,000 years after Greckel's Quest, Gnomes vs. Fairies 2 is still a platformer, but it's a lot more of an RPG! You play with a party of 4 gnomes, one under your control and the other three AI. Here's a GIF of the gameplay! https://gfycat.com/VibrantFineGreatwhiteshark Note that those characters are CAPSULES, and all art is temporary! I'm still waiting on getting my characters back from the artist, but here is the concept art which I drew myself: https://i.imgur.com/97ZGbSg.jpg It will be set on the Gnomish Moon Colonies on Ventocia, which has many many moons! "What?!? Gnomes in spaceships! Dano, you've gone crazy!" You are absolutely right!

Hey everyone, I did a lot of work on 2 player gameplay today. The girl gnome 2nd player is fixed now, she won't always twist her torso like a weirdo anymore. Both players now have separate health, and some mobs aggro player 2 now, getting the rest to aggro will take quite a while so that's coming next. Also, I redid the physics on Tall-Ball world and gave the ball a lot more friction which should make it much easier to control. I hope you try it out and let me know how it feels for you! Dano

My game Gnomes vs. Fairies was recently in the BeMine bundle, and as such, we're going to have thousands of new players descending on the community! We've had 1500 new activations in the last 24 hours, so here's what you need to know: the game works out of the box on Keyboard and Mouse and Xbox One controllers. If you have other controllers or configurations, you need to map the controllers in the launcher, but the control settings are kind of a mess right now. Here's what you should map (refer to xbox one controller for position): Interact: xbox B button Fire: xbox X button Jump: xbox A button AuxWeapon: Xbox X button Player 1 X movement: Left joystick LR Player 1 Y movement: Left joystick UD Pause: "start button" Menu: "Select" button Switch: LShoulder Button AuxSwitch: RShoulder Button Horizontal_R: Right joystick LR Vertical_R: Left joystick UD RShoulderXbox: Right trigger LShoulderXbox: Left trigger DpadX: Dpad LR DpadY: Dpad UD For 2 player co-op: Player 2 X Movement (analog stick) Player 2 Y Movement (analog stick) 1_start 1_jump 1_fire 1_switch 1_AuxWeapon I know I'm going to have a ton of customer support threads on the community and i'll do my best to get to you if you have problems, but please be patient! My players are about to multiply by 10 probably. For Multiplayer: I don't know how this will affect the servers. I assume we will probably see some overloads. If you get any server full errors or any other problems, please post on the steam community! Thanks! Dano Kablamo

I've fixed the bugs in the steam plugin on Linux. Also, online soccer updated with a whole bunch of kicks you can do. Also, I BELIEVE I have fixed the bug where you get stuck for a second during your sword combos. It's been haunting me for a long time and I THINK it's gone. If you can reliably get the character stuck, let me know how!! Thanks!! Have fun! Dano

Added Vote gamemode & map to multiplayer and introduced Gnome Soccer! Try it out! Gnome Soccer is pretty beta, please let me know if you try it. You might find the ball disappears or something. You can vote to change the mode again to Gnome Soccer to get it back.

Tell me how you like the Loading screen and the Save select level!! Also, to enable Vsync, simply tick the box in the options menu labeled "Enable Vsync" and your frame rate will lock to 60 fps and not go crazy at hundreds of FPS. Mac and Linux coming in a few days. Also, Linux was broken for everyone and It was the steamworks DLL causing it. So for at least a few more days, Linux has no achievements. Thanks! Dano

Fixes: Fixed sliders on options menu and made them display correctly on any resolution. Fixed camera collision to make it behave better and seem less wonky. Added Japanese support to PC and Linux versions. Game is half translated. Some things will still be in English. Use the Options menu to change to Japanese. Linux wasn't starting, so I temporarily disabled steam achievements for linux users to get them back on and playing again, I should have the achievements fixed on Linux within a week or so. Now the Linux build is playing again! A lot more things got fixed as well, too many to mention.
It's the full 28 track OST of Gnomes vs. Fairies - Greckel's Quest! http://store.steampowered.com/app/575190/ It's got 28 tracks, each composed and produced by Dano Kablamo!! I hope you all had a happy holiday season and I hope you all will have a happy new year as well! Please take some time if you haven't and leave me a review for my game if you like it, and post in the community if you don't like it so I have a chance to fix whatever it is you had trouble with! Also, remember, if the game feels exceptionally bad, it's most likely because you haven't properly set up your controls!! This is a gamepad-style game and works perfectly by default with an Xbox One controller. Keyboard and mouse work too but you have to set your own mouse sensitivity. Thanks for your time, everyone, and have a happy new year!! Love - Dano & Family
Fixed some small bugs, ice should look way better now. On the save select screen the gnomes no longer will hold sword and net at the same time!! Happy Holidays, I hope you love my game! -Dano and Family
That's all. I killed the dragon that was haunting me for months and the bug is fixed. Should see update later today. Thanks! Dano
Jump in the game today and earn some awesome trading cards, badges, emoticons, and more!! Thanks for playing!!
Hey everyone! Fixed bug causing spawning in the wrong place in queen's garden hub, Added equipment drops and pickups to Capture the flag. Made the Jam sessions shorter, added a match timer that everyone gets. It only half works but it's not bugged. Sometimes it might stop for a while but it won't break anything. It might just say the wrong time. Will fix it for good soon. Added clink sounds to online fighting, defending improved, and lots more added to multiplayer. A lot more little broken things now fixed, too many little ones to mention.
Well, I've been working hard as usual! The newest update sees an overhaul of the controls! Now there are two new buttons for controller and keyboard. Sprint: Left-Shift or LTrigger on xbox one controller. AutoAim Toggle: Left Ctrl or RTrigger on xbox one controller. When you are sprinting and moving, you do a dive attack. When you are sprinting, airborne and still, you do the stomp attack. Also, door switches are auto-targeted now so you can easily open the doors with berries. I hope to see you online in about 2 hours!
Get on tonight and I'll be here! Capture the flag! Deathmatch! Jam Session! Hope to see you online tonight. FYI, Online uses your save files so you should at least play through the tutorial long enough to get the first sword before you play online so you can use your sword to attack!. Equipment online is coming in the next update.
Only a few more bugs to work out and a little bit of designing to do. The three official gamemodes are: Capture the Flag Deathmatch (all vs. all) Jam Session The music player level is now online and can be enjoyed by all!! It would be amazing if you guys could plan to try out the game on Friday to help us stress test the servers and the game code! We're starting with max 20 players online and the second we get full I'm upgrading the servers to handle more. Note: VR will most likely not have a UI for the first few days. Thanks everyone! Like this if you want to try to play it this Friday evening around 8:00 pm central time (GMT -6)
Hey everyone! I've got online multiplayer almost ready for beta and it's a blast. I'm setting up some small team based games like capture the flag, deathmatch, and catch the fairies. Initially there's a max of 20 players online at a time but the game is small enough I don't think it will be a big issue at least in the beginning. Looking forward to seeing you guys online!!
Fixes: *Water was invisible (interfered with by new VR camera fader) *Prismatic Cloak (Invisibility power) works again, enemies can't see you when the cloak is engaged! *Arrow was invisible, fixed! *Super Boss Golem of "The Void" now attacks you back and has a more boss like behavior. He wasn't responding and you just could kill him! Changes: *Shortened the draw distance of the camera for faster performance. I'm going to add a slider for it in the quality settings. *Reverted to Old Magic Hat. Witch hat design didn't look good. Added: *Mouse got Sound Effects, voice, and better animations, and it's own music. *Mouse got dynamic tail bones, so the tail wiggles and moves like a real mouse (THIS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!) *Each town center now has a giant Fairy Statue when you capture all the fairies in that world and a giant Gnome statue when you free all the gnomes in that world. *With fairy wings equipped, you will now do a dive attack if you are moving forward and the stomp attack when you aren't moving, but it only goes down a little while and won't carry you way way down to the ground (so it won't accidentally kill you!) The game will update on steam within a few hours, if there are any little bugs or things you want me to fix that I didn't mention, let me know! Thanks everyone. Dano
Updated the camera, it rotates instantly now with no transition, also, default user position is higher for a more "Birds eye view" Added facial expressions to the girl gnome, and now in VR, when you get really close to the Gnome in the save select and character creations they will smile at you! :) Thanks for playing, leave feedback if you can!!
The new VR camera fader is turning the screen black the moment you go through the door. I will have a fix uploaded ASAP, by 8PM tonight!!!!!!! This affects PC, Mac, and Linux, but not VR Thanks! Edit: It's now fixed on PC and Linux. Mac update goes live in about 5/10 minutes.
So, I rebuilt the VR camera rig from absolute scratch and fixed all of its issues, You'll notice there's a 90 degree jump in the rotation on the right stick (left right) with a screen fade, and a zoom in/out screen fade on the right stick (up down). VR players, let me know what you think about it! Fixed some menu issues for VR The co-op extra player was bugged severely and I fixed that as well, Have fun playing and let me know if you all have problems! Dano
Well, something about the latest update broke the camera partially in VR oculus rift mode, you won't notice any problems in regular game play though. Also, I'm finding out there was an issue with getting mac and linux versions of the latest update published, I'll have it up and online for you guys tonight! Hopefully I'll also have the VR camera updated with a fix. Thanks for playing, Gnomie Homies!
It's my birthday! I'm 33! So if you want to really make my birthday special, tell your friends about my game! Post a link to my steam page to your face book or something like that. Tweet about it, whatever. It's on sale for only $5 one week only! Hope you are enjoying the game, to ground pound, hit "attack" after you've done your air jump. To dive attack, hit "attack" while dashing or while moving after you've done an air jump. Here's the ground pound and dive attack: https://gfycat.com/FamousFatalBlacklab Here's the facial expressions in action: https://gfycat.com/IllegalUnimportantArcherfish Oh, here's the link for you to post!! http://store.steampowered.com/app/406220/
So I'm about to begin my port to Xbox, WiiU, PS4, etc. Here's what I'm thinking. I'm going through and trying to make the game as perfect and complete as I possibly can before I begin my ports because once I begin porting in earnest there's no going back and I won't be able to change or add features without having to do it 4 times! (NO FUN!!) Most of my bosses are kinda lame in my opinion, just really big regular enemies (oh the horrors of 1 man indie game dev!). I'm thinking of getting rid of the bosses at the end of each level, and focusing all my energies and power on the 4 bosses at the end of each world (group of levels) and the 5th final boss to make them really super special. At the end of each level is a nice little monument with a little crystal floating above it and you just grab it. Please let me know what you think. To me it seems the wisest choice to overall strengthen the experience. I want every facet of GvF encountered by the player to be strong, and if that means cutting a little bit of content I'm OK with that if it streamlines the whole experience. If you disagree and love the bosses, please tell me your least favorite ones so I can work on them. I'll still have them in the game here and there in the levels, but they won't get a cut scene. If you think i'm crazy and I should stop this idea immediately and just fix the bosses that are messed up, tell me that too! Thanks!!! Dano PS: Anything you'd still change, any bugs you've found, please comment here or post about it in the community and i'll do the best I can.
It's systemically really close to perfect I think. A few enemies need HP adjusted and so forth, but nearly everything should be working perfectly. The VR camera no longer does a big jerk at loading a level, and camera transitions between teleport locations are a lot cleaner and nicer and easier on your stomach in VR and your eyes in standard view. Fixed a lot of bugs with enemies not dying. Added some new items to world that gave me lots of new gameplay possibilities. This update is for Linux, Mac, PC, and the demo version as well. Thanks for playing and as always, party on Wayne, and party on Garth. Oh and post any bugs you find in the community!!! I'm about to start serious work on WiiU and Xbox port! Dano
Hey Mac users! I was getting reports of crashes upon launching the game in some versions of Ios. I made this update to try to address the issue. If it helps let me know, if not, let me know! Thanks!
I accidentally uploaded the demo versions to the Mac and Linux depots. Sorry! This has been fixed and should work fine after you update! This didn't affect windows systems. -Dano
Also, on the side of a great windy mountain is the newest treasure, the Bow and Arrow!!!! Shoot precise shots over great distances!
And there is no visual sacrifice! I created a system which disables and enables objects based on location. It's been 2 weeks fixing all the bugs this system caused but the frame rate benefit was absolutely worth it, ESPECIALLY for vr. On my system with the Oculus Rift DK2, i now get a solid constant 75 fps at all times with no dips. (The DK2 maxes out at 75 fps, the CV1 caps at 90). Please report any strange behavior, like monsters not dying, mushrooms not bouncing, moving platforms not moving, etc. VR users please let me know if the framerate has improved for you! Thanks for waiting everybody, this update was a BIG one!!! Also, Gnomes vs. Fairies: Greckel's Quest is going to be at Xpo gaming convention in Tulsa this coming weekend! If you are around come out and see me and try the game in VR. Also: I added a bow and arrow weapon!! Name your character Dano and bounce up the green shroom at the beginning to put the game in developer mode and try the new bow and arrow, it's really awesome!! -Dano
Hey everyone, I'm hoping to round up the last of all the bugs in the game this week so please post in the community if you are having any issues you notice! So far on the newest release: Fixed: *Bugs walking up stairs, getting stuck, etc. *Fixed possibility of cheating your way up icy patches by using sword combos *Beginning game loading bar fixed, now reaches %100 *Fixed the cursor unlocking when tabbing out and in to the game *VR UI is 95 percent complete! Added: *Invert Y option for camera *Controller Support for color boxes and character creation menu *A little cursor to the menu to help you see what's selected *Speed blast after running for a little while Changed: *Changed the entire feel of the character!! *Changed the style of double jump to an air double jump. *Disabled 2player in VR *Gravity/Fall speed adjusted to fix "floaty" feeling, if you like it, let me know, if it was better before, let me know too! Jumping should feel faster and hopefully more precise.
That's it pretty much, see the recent updates to find out what they are! If you get any crazy bugs especially related to camera, let me know. I added support for oculus rift recently, and those changes shouldn't mess with the linux and mac versions but it's possible they will.
FIXED - Camera was tilting about 15 degrees after character dies FIXED - Dialog wasn't appearing during evil fairy cut scene FIXED - Several other small things related to VR camera.
Fixed: Music Volume Slider Fixed: Color Selectors Fixed: Weird sideways portal doors spawning at entry to hub worlds Added: Volume level slider for gnome voices and dialog PC only for now cause I gotta go to work! Linux and Mac coming tonight. VR and oculus rift updates coming tomorrow or sunday. Have fun!!!
And I managed to not break the main game somehow! Things you can't do in the oculus version very well: Change your gnome's color on the loading screen. Remember. this is SUPER beta and I hope you guys give me lots of feedback! Just click "Launch in Other VR" if you have a rift and you are good to go!!!
I'm having a great time playing Gnomes vs. Fairies: Greckel's Quest in VR! I hope all of you who have rifts will try it out when it releases!! If you try to launch it from steam VR right now it will crash, but I got it covered, it's coming this afternoon for sure!
That's right, folks! If you're thinking of getting my indie 3D platformer Gnomes vs. Fairies: Greckel's Quest, now's the time to do it! It's only $5 USD!! Support Indie Developers!

So, I overhauled the UI, and officially made the game Gnomes vs. Fairies - Greckel's Quest. I've got a temporary logo made that's in the game and the art will be updated soon. This is 2 weeks worth of work updating and testing. We should find that there are almost no bugs with all the new stuff. The big thing is the UI overhaul. Please play and have fun and let me know what you think! I did a huge amount of work making the game Oculus rift ready, so bugs to watch out for are camera related, like suddenly camera is in a strange place and you can't see where you are. Make sure to report WHERE you were in the game when that happened, but most of them are already weeded out. Dano
Press "Enter" on the keyboard to spawn a second player! Right now it's really beta so there's probably a lot of bugs with it. To set up the second player's controls look for 1_Fire, 1_Horizontal, etc. Eventually there will be 4 players simultaneously if you have enough controllers! At this point you can test player 2 right away, just hit Enter (return, not keypad enter) on the keyboard, and the controls are I,J,K,L instead of WASD, and the other buttons are [, ', ], and . Also, most if not all bugs related to gameplay that have been mentioned are fixed. There are still problems with achievements and I'll be sorting those out soon. Remember - player 2 is in BETA! That means there might be lots of bugs when you use it. Have fun and let me know any player 2 bugs you might find! -Dano Known Bugs with 2 player active: Quit button doesn't work, fades to black, have to quit game to fix.
Fixed the Yes/No bug that happened when you used the Interact button while talking to a shopkeeper. Hit "Jump" to navigate the menu options! Tomorrow is a full day of work and bug fixes with a big update coming tomorrow night with all mentioned bugs. This update tonight is Windows only, I'll update mac and linux tomorrow evening! Thanks everyone.
Hi everyone, I'm about to release the newest update that includes all the bugs mentioned so far in the forums, and in addition some new features! *New Axis buttons in the mapping: DPadY - for zooming camera in (your D-pad up and down) *Added cheese to the store in Queens' Garden. Go have fun riding the mice around! *Camera now supports up down motion as well as side to side, and now you zoom in/out with the Dpad or the mouse scroll wheel like always. *Some Achievements fixed, FairiesCaptured and MonstersKilled should work now *Directional Lightmaps and Specular lightmaps added to many levels. This makes the file size bigger but the game looks way better with Baked normal maps (texture shadows) *Fairies Captured are now unique and tracked and saved. So when you catch a fairy once, it stays caught forever and never comes back. Please report any issues with this system to me! *Finished all gnome dialog for all gnomes! *Stores no longer auto sell you the first item on the list! *Fixed the bats stupid hitbox and how annoying they are. Better now! Also, I'm having a contest for who can create the song I think is the coolest on the music creator. I'm giving out 3 keys to GvF to give to your friends as a reward for first place! Two keys for second, and one key for third. The rules are, create a screen cap video of you creating an awesome Jam in Melody Island, upload it to youtube, and post it in the official contest thread in the steam community, and this coming Saturday the 25th of July I'll pick my favorite three gnome Jams! Have fun playing! Known bugs with newest release: Bats can't be damaged by berries. I'll get this fixed asap!
The change list is too long to even mention here. Somethings you may notice: Fixed camera bug where sliding view woudn't reset properly. Complete reworking of "The Void" level (wind world, level 3) Brand new door camera transitions when you go through doors Fixed so many more things! Please try it out, and please don't be shy about leaving a review! I need your reviews more than you could possibly know!!!!! If you liked my game please leave me a review, you're directly helping me to make MORE great content and great games!
It's been an absolutely mindboggling year, I have barely looked up and around from this project in the last year, now that it's released and people are enjoying it, I couldn't be happier. I think most players will find a relatively smooth and bug free experience, and so I'm going on a holiday! I'll be back and available to help out with stuff on wednesday. Please continue to post bugs in the community section and I'll be working out fixes for them ASAP. Tell your friends and if you liked the game, please leave a rating! Ratings more than anything else will help me get to keep creating my dreams. I'm going to the lake! Peace, and have fun with Gnomes vs. Fairies! I'm drawing up multiplayer plans as we speak!
There's a bug where the save file doesn't init correctly. This causes the player to spawn without any berries, and probably a lot worse bugs than that. I'm rolling out a fix for this today. In the mean time, please click "Erase" on all 3 save files and the problem will go away!!! Thanks for playing!
I'll be releasing the PC, Mac, and Linux, full version of Gnomes vs. Fairies 1.0 this afternoon!!!!! Just finishing up the trailer and some capsule art for the page. Thanks for playing and helping me with bugs during Early Access!!! -Dano Kablamo
Tell your friends! The last 15 months of me destroying myself physically and mentally to make this dream come true are finally paying off!! I'm wiping away the last of the bugs and will be adding the rest of the steam achievements and a new trailer in the next few days. Thanks for following my project and I hope you pick up the game when it comes out. Also, the thanks to the steam Summer Sale, the game is now $6.69 USD, so if you haven't gotten it yet, you should grab it now! Although there will be a release discount, the base price of the game is going to be $12.99. I hope you have fun playing it! Multi-player battle arena mode is still incoming sometime in the future, probably in the fall. The more people buy the game now, the more likely we'll see a VR Gnomes vs. Fairies and the multiplayer mode. Thanks again! I couldn't do it without you! -Dano
Gnomes vs. Fairies can now be played from start to finish, and nearly every system and enemy is perfect! Official beta testing starts now and I'm going to be releasing July 1st! I still need to do some scripting work on one of the boss battles and the final boss battle. I also still need to finish writing the dialog, but the gameplay is polished and done! Please take a look and play through it if you have time and give me some feedback! Mac and Linux users, I especially need to hear how the game is running for you. Thanks! Dano
There are a lot more variables in the save files now, so your old games will give you lots of errors! So erase your games before you play again please or you'll have a bad time! Also, the girl is getting completely replaced soon, and as such I'm not messing with updating her with any of the new features such as surfing and many others, so don't even bother playing as her cause it'll bug out BIG TIME.
Please play and tell me how you like it! Tons and tons and tons of new features, like SURFING!!!! WAHOOO!!! Seriously, i'm close to the finish line, just a few more weeks and it will have been a year and i'm almost done! Working from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm everyday on this! Watch out for all new trailer coming soon!

Today I updated (Windows Only, Mac and Linux coming tomorrow) ! Major features of this update: *3 different boss fights *brand new high quality character model for the male Gnome, with all new animations!!!! *Swimming *Climbable poles *Better Enemy AI A TON MORE!!! The game is really coming together and I can finally see the finish line! Please log in and run around and tell me how it's working! Especially Windows 10 users, I've had multiple reports of Windows 10 users experiencing crashes when they start the game, but on two windows 10 systems I own it's running beautifully! So if you have crashes, please send me your "output.log" file from your Gnomes vs. Fairies folder!!! Thanks Dano
I've found out this is happening, and a fix is on the way! I know the problem and it's about to not be a problem!
Hi everyone! Please give this a read: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lAmC2l2GqXiQjZwta82ooKuGys7v6PwvgEIlD9LCF1A/pub It's got a guide for cheats and all sorts of fun stuff, like, what levels are fun! It will maximize your experience. If you can't run the game, let me know ASAP and I'll get it fixed. I'm going on a cruise for the holidays and tomorrow is the last day I can fix things so please post in the community forum if you have trouble. Thank you!! -Dano
KNOWN BUGS SO FAR IN NEWEST VERSION: The cameras break for just a second when you free most gnomes. Here's how to access the new command console: hit ` ("~" when shifted) and simply type. You may type help to see a list of commands. To explore some of the new stuff try to load level 21. So type "loadlevel 21" in the console.
https://youtu.be/up4wtEHJdCw New features include: new water system swimming new dialog system climbable poles giant super bouncy mushrooms major UI improvements sleeping Rocket boots warp travel cloud creating travel and much much more!!! Comment what you think! Thanks Dano
Take a look at this!!!! It's still rough but it's on it's way! http://gfycat.com/FrigidGaseousFrilledlizard
The game now exists in the first draft of it's final form. When you start a new game, there is now a rudimentary cutscene to enjoy that sets the stage. The main hub world, Queen's Garden is constructed, and connects to the four elemental worlds, each of which connect to 5 stages to explore! Collect a single crystal from each stage to rebuild the four elemental crystals, which will open up the doorway to reach the final stages and determine the fates! I've also greatly improved the magic lamp aux item. The magic lamp now changes the nature of your projectiles you throw. Now if you are Ice powered, and have the magic lamp equipped, the projectiles will turn into climbable ice blocks you can jump on to. You can climb up a flat wall face if you have enough berries! Fire explodes, wind creates clouds you can jump on to get really high up, and lightning teleports you to the place your berry hit with a cool lightning warp effect! Please ERASE YOUR OLD GAMES AND START OVER to avoid lots of annoying errors! As always, please post bugs in the community forum! Thanks, Dano

Hi! Version 2.4 officially fixes: broken Boy gnome on some systems (surface pro 3, at the least). And adds: *Sword elemental powerup colors *super fun invincibility powerup that makes your sword magic happen on every sword swing and makes your gnome Glow ridiculously bright. This is a really cool feature I hope people have some fun with. Test it on developer island! *All new level layout skeleton in place. There will be more than 25 levels at launch, and now they are named and layed out how they will be. Known bugs: Sometimes text disappears from the game for no reason (all of the text vanishes in the entire game) Restart client to fix. Investigating.
Hey guys! Check out the latest update and make sure to Erase your old save files before trying to play!!!! Seriously, erase your save files or you'll get errors out the wazoo!! Have fun and let me know if you have problems! New achievements: First Death, Killed 10 monsters, Killed 100 monsters, Ice Master, etc. Thanks! Dano
Hey everyone! Today I released 2.2b update for windows, linux, and the first ever build for OS X! I met my goals including, overhaul of script and dialog system, all perfect now! Rolled out OS X support! First tutorial level opens up right to the queens garden where you can enjoy yourself by getting to all the games items and levels right away! Redesigned the beginning of Greckel's grove, try it out! OS X users, please let me know your experiences in the community forum! Thanks! Known issues: Greckel's Grove has some problems with occlusion (objects vanish from view for just a moment depending on player/camera location.) I've already got it fixed and it will be uploaded soon. Dano
Later today, I'll be releasing v2.2b!! This update will include:
- rolling out support for osx!
- all dialog will now be correct, unique, and relevant!!
- The end of the first level now takes you directly to The Queens Garden instead of Greckel's Grove, where you can check out ridable mice, airships, learn how to play from the gnomes, get all the items, and warp to all the worlds!! People will have a lot more fun this way.
Hi everyone! I've been thinking very hard about dropping the price during Early Access to $9.99, and i want to thank everyone that bought it so far for $12.74, thank you so much! To make up for the price difference I'll be giving out gift copy steam keys for my early adopters! As soon as valve approves the price change, anyone who purchased the game before the price drop will get an extra Steam Key in their inbox to gift to a friend. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and have fun playing! Thanks so much, Dano
Hello! I've fixed the first round of bugs and about 20 more tiny ones i found here and there. I've changed the binaries to 32 bit for windows, because the ram never goes above 800 mb anyway. If this causes problems for folks, let me know. I've also released Linux binaries in 32 bit and 64 bit. Your feedback is really important because it will help me make the game better so please let me know how everything is doing! Known bugs I still need to sort: The resolution can scale in a funky way if you aren't using 1920 x 1080. Most resolutions are fine as far as I can tell, if you have weird scaling issues like the menus being off screen or overlapping in a way that makes the game hard to play, please send me a screenshot and tell me your resolution so I can get it fixed! Thanks!!!
