A sincere "Servus" from Mi'pu'mi Games in Vienna, Austria.
A year ago we started our journey with "The Lion's Song" and everyone at Mi'pu'mi is very proud what we achieved since the first baby steps we made. And even more so, we are very honored what we achieved together with you, with all your support and positive energy for our little pixel art gem, "The Lion's Song".
So far we "heard" the difficulties of a young talented composer finishing her grand breakthrough concert at the Wiener Musikverein, together with world famous composers like Arnold Schoenberg and Gustav Mahler.
We continued our story with aspiring painter Franz who seeks to immortalize his name within Vienna’s high society and fellow contemporary artists like Gustav Klimt, by trying to illustrate his very own perspective of his models and the time he is living in.
We do hope you are still curious how the story about artists and scientists in Austria at the beginning of the 20th century continues. Today we are proud to announce the release of "The Lion's Song: Episode 3 - Derivation".
Advance into the scientific world at the beginning of the 20th century – an era of great achievements, but also dark downfalls. On the eve of World War I mathematician Emma Recniczek enters the academic stage to solve a problem revolving around “change”. In order to discuss her theory with like-minded people Emma tries to gain access to a gentlemen’s club of famous mathematicians. As her request is denied because of her being a woman, she decides to disguise as a man.
Will this metamorphosis help Emma shed light on the problem at the centre of her theory? Will Emil be able to prevail in the circle of leading mathematicians of his time? Moreover, can she maintain her disguise or will it collapse when put to test?
Episode 3: Derivation offers the strongest connections of all episodes so far. Dive into the complex story of Emma and Emil, take "both" characters on very different paths and enjoy alternative playthroughs.
Experience the impact of your decisions not only towards the ending of Episode 3, but also the entire game world if you jump back into previously played episodes.
So don't forget to revisit Wilma and Franz after succeeding in the men's world of academia at the beginning of the 20th century.
We hope you'll enjoy this next episode as much as we did making it for you.
