MINDNIGHT has been around for almost 3 years now, and in our limited time while developing other games or tending to you full-time jobs, we always have struggled in trying to take care of MINDNIGHT's strong, big and passionate community.
In good or bad moments, we have always turned to the community whenever we wanted to make a change, ask questions, open a dialogue or generally get help with anything. We are so grateful to have such a passionate and big community and we have thought for a while now that it deserves more. More events, more care and love and generally speaking we also need more time in order to really improve, fix and elevate MINDNIGHT's gameplay and universe.
And in order for us to do this we have decided that is time to increase our team, get dedicated community managers and increase the number of moderators both in-game and on Discord.
That is why we are proud to welcome two brand team members to No Moon, in order to help with MINDNIGHT and even other titles in the near future.
Ivan Cotti aka iv2b representing the EU continent and tending to the community from the EU timezone and Andrew Lara-Kane aka Lofegolf representing the Americas and the US timezones and tending to the community from that part of the world.
We are so grateful to have them on our team and we are looking forward to see what ideas they have around taking care of MINDNIGHT's community and at the same time trying to grow it as much as possible.
Let's now get to know them a little bit more.
Take a moment and introduce yourself to the community
Ivan: Hey, I'm Ivan and I am from Italy. Currently i'm attending a computer science course at a nearby university while tinkering with Unity, mostly through game jams. A lot of my free time is spent playing games, with a fraction of it being spent at the local gym. Andrew: My name is Andrew Lara-Kane and work for No Moon as a Community Manager for Mindnight. I live in California, USA and I am a 3rd year college student attending UC Merced studying Computer Science and Engineering. My main hobbies are to stream, play video games, and learn how to develop/design games.
When and how did you first discovered MINDNIGHT?
Ivan: I've joined MINDNIGHT in july 2018. At that time i used to play similar games a fair bit and steam suggested MINDNIGHT to me, so I tried it out. Andrew: I first discovered Mindnight when I got my first computer once I graduated from high school. A lot of my friends who were already on PC for a while introduced me to the game as one of the first ones I picked up. Ever since then, I have loved it to the point where I wanted to work on it with No Moon themselves.
What do you like at MINDNIGHT the most and how would you describe it in a few words?
Ivan: The lack of convoluted role interactions is a feature i highly appreciate. The game's entirely focused on the social deduction aspects of the genre, which is what hooked me. Andrew: The thing I like about Mindnight the most is the strategies that are used to win as whatever role you play. My personal favorite is playing as hacker and successfully deceiving every other agent to get the win. The best part about it is that there is no one standard strategy to winning. So many people I have met have come up with so many different and compelling strategies that it makes the game very unique and fun. To describe it in a few words, "Trust no one, unless they duel you".
What are your goals as a community manager for MINDNIGHT?
Ivan: I'll be working towards making the community, and the game itself, more accessible and welcoming towards new players. Additionally I will do my best to collect feedback and organize events for the community to enjoy. Andrew: My goals as a Community Manager for Mindnight is to enhance the current community we have with a lot of different events and changes, while also bringing in a lot more players to the community. A real problem I have seen recently is players, whether they are new or veterans, are being driven away from the game for the toxicity. To change this I plan to make an introduction manual for the new players that give ground rules for the game and possibly add in a competitive mode that is level locked for the veterans where they can run free without worrying about new players who don't have a lot of knowledge about the game. Overall, I plan on making the game community a better place emotionally and reducing the toxicity for everyone.
Last but not least, what are some other games that you play beside MINDNIGHT?
Ivan: Some recurring games would be Helldivers, Rimworld, Warframe and Guild Wars 2, i tend to go back to them once in a while. Some all-time favourites include Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Undertale, Crosscode, OneShot and Mario&Luigi Superstar Saga. I've also been loving Gwent in the last few weeks and i'll often pick up Smash Ultimate during the week. Andrew: For other games that I play, I play on PC, PlayStation, and Switch. For both of those, I have a wide spread of games, but the games that are my personal favorites (which I have also put the most amount of time into) are CS:GO, the Dark Souls trilogy, Destiny (not 2 though), Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Persona series, the Star Wars Battlefront series, NieR: Automata, the Animal Crossing series, Mario Odyssey, Wizard of Legend, the Smash Brothers series, and A LOT of ROMs and emulators (I can go into specifics if anyone wants me to). There are many others but those are among my favorite games.
Any final regards that you might have for the community?
Ivan: I'm confident this will be a terrific learning experience and i'll do my best to have a positive impact in the community. I look forward to working with you all! Andrew: Lastly, I hope that everyone will accept me as the new Community Manager for No Moon, and I will serve you to the best of my ability. Let's all make the community a better place! Thanks! MINDNIGHT TEAM

MINDNIGHT Hack Me Hard - Soundtrack DLC (Bonus Track + Jukebox Skin)
‰‰ Secure. Seek. Subvert. ¬þ±±
Be an agent attempting to secure the city network, or be a hacker attempting to compromise and defeat them. Utilize your communication, manipulation, and deduction skills to persuade others and win the game. You’ll never play the same game twice.
Set in a future cyberpunk San Francisco, in 2038, cities have crushed the open internet. Networks are locked by security nodes and need to be maintained by NTF agents. Hackers have been searching for a way to break into them for years.
Save or corrupt the network by working together. Remember...in the future, anyone could be compromised. Who can you trust? ±
The game is a tribute to social party games such as The Resistance and Werewolf. As MINDNIGHT is heavily inspired after these games, we are looking into other table-top deduction social games to bring new features and modes along the way through updates.
