This week we have worked on fixing the bugs that were reported, and the two things that received most major adjustments were Guilds and Tradeskills. The largest change in relation to Tradeskills is probably that Batch Crafting now gives the same amount of trade skill xp as a single crafting, and now got the same attempts per craft as single crafting. There are plenty of other trade skill changes done as well though, some being two (kind of) new gathering skills to level in! With regards to Guilds you now have the ability to set a message of the day, can see bank logs in a separate view, and. There is also a lot of other changes done, so have a look below. We hope you will enjoy testing the game tomorrow, and as always we appreciate your feedback and bug reports! :)

Changes


  • Different areas now have different light colors, so it should now be easier to see items in the snowy areas.
  • You can now also see guild members level when they are offline.
  • Added Shield skill: Shield Bash.
  • Added 2H skills: Bloodlust and Whirlwind.
  • You can now spawn a fire where you can cook (requires Carpentry material and a Flint). Campfires also provide a buff to players around it.
  • Removed Enchanted Arrow requirement from the first tier ranged skill.
  • Lowered price of Enchanted Arrows to 1 gold.
  • Adjusted arrow recipes to use Sticks instead of Lumber.
  • Added Stick version of all lumber materials.
  • Adjusted Glue recipes to use Paste instead of flowers.
  • Added Paste versions of all glue materials.
  • Split Botany into Botany and Woodcutting skills, and Paring into Shearing and Skinning skills.
  • Separated trade skills list based on type (Gathering / Crafting).
  • You can right click on online guild members and invite to party from guild window.
  • Added an item that when used, spawns a random monster at your location (you don't suffer death penalties when dying to this monster).
  • You can now set a guild message of the day if you are an officer or guild leader..
  • Adjusted respawn timers and spawn radiuses for nodes.
  • Added audio and icon effect on abilities that are ready to be used again after being on cooldown.
  • Lower right menu will now sparkle when you have unspent points.
  • Skill / spell icons in the menu now sparkle when you have unspent points.
  • Item Requirement text is now red if you don't meet the requirements on item tooltips.
  • Disabled crafting quality on consumables.
  • Spell icons that you can not yet assign are now faded to indicate they can not be used.
  • Skills are now removed from actionbar after using Scroll of Rebirth.
  • Added guild activity log messages so you can see them in separate views (general and bank)
  • Added combat level requirement on arrows.
  • Arrows gained from crafting have been upped from 12 to 20 arrows. Due to this change, they are also now unsellable.
  • Raw, Cooked and Magical meat icons are now different.
  • Adjusted so Error Messages are shown no matter what chat tab you have open.
  • Added audio for completing gathering actions.
  • You can now double click on a skill in the action bar to cast it on yourself, if it is a single target heal spell. You can also hold SHIFT + Action key to self-cast.
  • Enemies that eat items on ground (such as bunnies) will now grow in size for each item it consumes.
  • Players now start with a bow, dagger and short sword.
  • Adde Rare Bandit Leader at Bandit Camp.
  • Made Rare mobs in Grendal Cemetery easier to spot.
  • Moved Trade Skill Vendor to the main square in Brightwyn.
  • Potions are now Uncommon items, and no longer global drops.
  • Batch Crafting now gives the same amount of trade skill xp as a single crafting, and now got the same attempts per craft as single crafting.
  • Removed combat XP generated by crafting.
  • Lowered tradeskill XP Generated by crafting.
  • You are now asked if you want to enter or leave a dunegon.
  • You can now see information when a guild member was online last time (they must login after this update for this to show).
  • Adjustments have been made to in preparation to the quests, so you can no longer interact with random NPCs.
  • You can now hover your mouse over the in-game clock to see your system time.
  • You can now consume Crumbs bonds to get Crumbs.
  • Lowered Mahogany trees respawn time (from 10-90 minutes to 3-10 minutes) (changed during last alpha test).
  • Added Cheese to Trade Supply vendors (changed during last alpha test).
  • Lowered respawn times for Brightwyn Forest loot objects (mining nodes, botany nodes, etc.) so they will respawn a lot quicker for new players (changed during last alpha test).
  • Increased the amount of Redheart logs and lowered their respawn time (from 10-90 minutes to 3-10 minutes) (changed during last alpha test).
  • Increased standard alchemy potion effect duration to 20 minutes (from 5/6 minutes) (changed during last alpha test).
  • Fire Shards, Lava Cores and Stones now stack to 50 (changed during last alpha test).
  • Crimson NPCs now drop boots (changed during last alpha test).

Bugfixes


  • Bunnies (and other monsters) should hopefully not get out of sync any more in some occasions for clients.
  • You can no longer see through the roof of the house in Sleeping Volcano from certain angles.
  • Failing a craft attempt should no longer get you stuck in the crafting animation.
  • Fixed issue with textures on the Blue River Crossing building glitching out sometimes.
  • Trade skill buttons should no longer be duplicated in certain conditions.
  • Loot objects should no longer spawn inside trees or other objects.
  • It no longer says "Requires: Arrows" on bows.
  • Berries that are in the initial mail that new players receive now got a proper icon.
  • Fixed and issue where a player could get corrupted in a specific case.
  • Quest text bubbles will now be shown on top of all other layers.
  • You can now target/heal group members from the group ui again.
  • Lowered the quality of "Low" quality setting, which should mean players get better FPS on Low quality setting.
  • There should no longer be a big shadow circle following you around on Medium quality setting.
  • Crafting rates on currently open recipe window are now updated when your skill levels up.
  • Fixed issue with own name plate not showing properly.
  • Fixed issue where if you opened your map before going into a dungeon it would stay open, and you couldn't close it unless you left the dungeon.
  • Your queued quality actions while crafting are now removed below the required progress threshold.
  • You should no longer get stuck in the dead or trade skill animations.
  • Your character will no longer look like it levitates if you move forward while being in the stand-still jump animation.
  • It will now show "Gathering attempt failed" instead of "Cooking attempt failed" when failing to gather a consumable.
  • Login server will now properly shut down when servers shut down.
  • Mobs will now respawn again in Brimstone Caverns (fixed during last alpha test).
  • Players drop inventory on death again (fixed during last alpha test).
  • There is now a line break between sit down and group commands in /help (fixed during last alpha test).
  • You can no longer walk through the walls in the General Goods store in Kinborough (fixed during last alpha test).
  • You no longer get a PvP message when reaching level 5 (fixed during last alpha test).
  • Crimson cloth from crimson catacombs will now stack (fixed during last alpha test).

Tale of Toast is am open world MMORPG, with its core gameplay being inspired with what made old school MMORPGs endlessly fun and engaging. With its easy to pick up play style, and its high focus on ensuring social aspects, tactical combat, trade skills, procedurally generated dungeons, and quality quests, the game is sure to have something for everyone.

Engaging combat with risks and rewards
Experience battles throughout the world against enemies, bosses, players or by taking part of large scale guild wars. Will you be a villain killing innocent players for their inventory, or will you lead a posse to take out the villains for their equipment and inventory?
The various zones have different restrictions put on them with regards to PvP, and you can always take part in a duel, or fight without risk inside the PvP Arenas.

Classes
Tired of being told what you can and cannot do with your character? In ToT you do not choose a class for your character, you yourself decide what type of character you create. Perhaps you will have a pure melee warrior, or hybrid mage and ranger?

Trade Skills
You may take up a wide range of trade skills such as Mining, Woodcutting, Botany, Fishing, Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Leatherworking, Paring, Cooking, and Alchemy. The number of trade skills you take on is completely up to you. Will you become a generalist or specialise in a specific skill?

Dungeons
With both world dungeons that all players on the realm can enter, as well as instanced group instanced, everyone can do their preferred dungeon. Dungeons scale to the people who are inside, and dungeons are procedurally generated to ensure that each time you enter the same dungeon you will get a unique experience.

Quests
With high focus on quality before quantity, you will not find hundreds of quests that tells you to kill certain monsters, but instead you will find epic quests chains that unlock special features and locations for your character.

World
In the land of Astaria, you will find an open world taking place in a single zone with towns, capitals, forests, fields, summer areas, winter areas, desert areas, volcanoes, mines, and dungeons for you to explore in a dynamic day and night system with weather on top.

Free-to-Play
The game is free-to-play, and offers micro transactions for things such as cosmetic items, pets, guild features, character renames and realm transfers. We hade made a strong point to not have Pay-to-Win features available, so you cannot pay to gain an advantage over somebody in combat.
