UPDATE: Possible bug fix for sound issues
Restart Steam to make sure you have the latest version of the game.
Launch the game, let it finish loading, and then exit. This will add a new entry to your config file.
Open your config file (config.cfg) in a text editor and change OS.Windows.UseDirectSound from False to True.
Save your changes and exit the text editor.
Launch the game again.

If it worked correctly the game will probably be quieter than last time and, if we're lucky, won't exhibit the same glitching behavior as before!

Today's update adds a hidden option that will hopefully fix some of the sound issues that were introduced when we rewrote our audio backend a few weeks ago.
