Just like you we cannot wait for the release of City Game Studio. Nonetheless, releasing City Game Studio too early would imply cutting out features and rushing tests. We want City Game Studio to be a rich game with an infinite lifetime. We want to optimize City Game Studio, to improve your game experience and we want you to love playing City Game Studio.
City Game Studio started as side project, one standing man making all of the development, assets, marketing, website... It was fun, but then you guys went crazy and over a thousand players started to follow the game development, asking for features and news. With that hype, we decided to give Binogure Studio a better structure, and it takes time.
We don't want to deliver a non-finished game, so we'd better provide a closed beta than releasing an early access game. Mainly because a closed beta offers you a more complete game, bugs included ;-) Each line of code, each asset have been made with the right amount of love. We want City Game Studio to be an outstanding game!
We work, and we work hard to be able to release City Game Studio on time. Starting next week, we will be two fulltime employees at Binogure Studio. However, as we live without subsidies, we regularly accept subcontracts. This impacts the game development, still, it pays the bills. An alternative would be to raise funds with a crowdfunding campaign, and we would like hearing your thoughts on this. Feel free to express yourself in the comments.
Back to February 2018, we had to step back, having a big picture of what we were doing then. It's hard to be objective and to keep a critical mind working alone on a project. Working and releasing Sneak In, a free puzzle game for android mobile phone, helped us solving this issue. Even though this decision has slowed down the development of City Game Studio for a while, it allowed us to put our finger on our weak points and to improve ourselves. Now we are excited to work on City Game Studio again!We also have submitted Sneak In to a contest offered by Lotto Quebec as part of Quebec's independent video games, and we are proud to announce that Binogure Studio has been invited to the Montreal's Comiccon which will take place from July 6th to 8th, 2018.

City Game Studio is a sandbox type management game.
January 1975, you have created your video game company. You are renting a tight place that allows you to develop your first game. Quickly, your games are successful and you already have to move, but it is up to you to cross the city to pick up your next local. In the blink of an eye you are hiring artists to improve the visual aspect of your games. Next came developers and then testers. But a problem remains, even if your games are brilliants, you don't have enough fans to self-publish a big game to make your studio profitable. You will have to turn to video game editors who will carve out the lion's share. Combinating successes is the only way of getting rid of the publishers. Furthermore you will be able to publish your own publishing contracts. Then you will then be ready to dominate the market and buy back your competitors.
Maps and studios are procedurally generated. Combined with random events and customizable studios, you will rediscover the game with each new game.
Browse the cities and choose the location of your next studio. As my uncle said "we do not hire new talents with vinegar !"
