Hello everyone! Things are progressing well, and I'm happy to tell you that I've fixed the save file issue. Or at least isolated the problem. This means I couldn't make progress on mods, but I'll tell you all about it right away!

Hello everyone! What an incredible week! Not only was the v1.22 release extremely well received, but Fortune Avenue, which just launched, is also getting a great reception! I won't hide it from you, I was super stressed about releasing a new game! But now I'm relieved because it's really being well received! So I'll be able to continue my cruising rhythm of 50% on City Game Studio and 50% on Fortune Avenue. And yes, I'll spend even more time on City Game Studio, because I want to provide you with the best video game company simulation game. And I think with 91% positive reviews, I'm getting pretty close! I still have plenty of work to do, so here's a quick update on the latest changes in the unstable version.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1810050/Fortune_Avenue/?utm_source=cgs_annonce Hello everyone! FORTUNE AVENUE IS FINALLY HERE!. Yes, after months of development, I'm super happy to announce that Fortune Avenue is available today on Steam! For those who have been following me for a while, you know I've been talking about it since the 1.19.0 update of City Game Studio.

Hello everyone! This is another small update, but one that optimizes code I wrote back in 2018. It's been quite a while and definitely deserved some attention. From now on, adjusting the gauges during game creation will be much easier and consume significantly fewer resources. There are also other changes such as two fixes for rare crashes that needed to be addressed! I believe this completes version 1.22, and now I'll be focusing on v1.23! Happy gaming to all! Xavier aka Binogure
Hey folks, Here a very short update, to fix a crash when you sell all the furnitures from a data center. Xavier aka Binogure
Hey everyone! Version 1.22 has been out for almost a week now, and frankly, the feedback has been excellent. The feature that lets you copy/paste studios is highly appreciated, even though it contained a small bug that I've now fixed! And the rest toohaving console manufacturing costs automatically adjust with the number of units sold, the new studio selection panel. In short, all these changes have been really well received, and so it's with pleasure that I bring you this update which fixes the few remaining bugs. First of all, the studio selection panel wasn't working very well. Being able to deselect studios is important in some cases, and by default certain filters made this action a bit more difficult if you had a free studio. I stumbled upon this issue and made a fix. A user provided me with several super useful pieces of feedback. One of them concerns game updates. For games that remained on the market for more than 15 years, publishing an update would kill sales. This was a very specific case, and I've made the process much smoother. From now on, the game will perform a more complex calculation for updates. So, when you load your game, sales might suddenly jumpdon't worry, it's just the game automatically adjusting and "giving back" the sales you should have had. That being said, two other fixes have been implemented. The first concerns an error that prevented the end-of-life table of a game from displaying, and the other bug caused the number of copies sold to become negative. These were simple display bugs that are now fixed. So there you have it. I've gathered your feedback, and v1.23 will be enhanced with magnificent interface changes that will make the game even more enjoyable. As you know, I publish an update approximately every 3 months, which means that by summer you should have an update that addresses most of your feedback. For example, when creating a console, being able to compare it with those present on the market, or being able to better manage employee schedules so that only designers work during the design phase, for instance. Or sorting employees by those who have just been hired, or being able to train employees directly from the employee panel. In short, all of this, if I have time, will be part of v1.23, which is already full of great things. As a reminder, being able to list former games of the year, or game ports from the catalog. Showing a company recap or even thoroughly reviewing mod management. I haven't listed everything, but these are the main changes that should be included in v1.23. Thank you all for reading, I hope you're enjoying the new version of City Game Studio! In the meantime, see you soon for the first RC of v1.23 (normally in a few days). Xavier aka Binogure
Hello everyone! I've been working on this new version of City Game Studio for months, and I hope you're as excited as I am about this new update. There's a ton of things to talk about, so without further ado, let's dive right in.
Hello everyone! This week, I spent a lot of time reading your feedback, going through comments on GitHub, bug reports, and the forms you filled out! Overall, you like the game, and honestly, that makes me happy, but there are still things to improve. We're now less than a week away from the release of v1.22, so I'm focusing solely on fixing bugs and gathering new ideas for the next version.

Hello everyone! It's been an incredibly busy week for me! As you know, I'm working on City Game Studio and the next big update, but my other game, which is much smaller than City Game Studio, is in the middle of a Steam festival. And honestly, it's adding a considerable amount of work. The feedback is good, and I'll be able to improve Fortune Avenue thanks to it! Hello everyone! The v1.21 Studio Director update isn't even two months old, and already the next update contains most of the major features I had planned to add. And honestly, it's fantastic - I'm really happy with the work done, and thanks to this head start, I can add even more content to the next major update!

Hi Binoguriens and Binoguriennes! I don't know if it's a good idea to say "Hi Binoguriens and Binoguriennes!", so let's stick with "Hi folks"! Version 1.21 is the most stable release ever, I still have one crash to fix, I'm working on it but that's not all.

Hi everyone! A quick update to start 2025! (yes, already!)
Hey everyone!
I'm super excited to announce that City Game Studio is part of the Steam Winter Sale with a 25% discount! You can grab it for $11.99 instead of $15.99.
If you've been following the recent updates, you know that v1.21.0 brought the biggest changes to the game, including the Studio Director feature. This lets you automate game creation while you focus on managing your company, designing your next console, building new studios, and handling your digital store. And that's just scratching the surface!
For those just discovering the game: City Game Studio is a deep management game where you start in 1976 with a tiny game studio and grow it into a gaming empire. You'll manage multiple studios, create games, build consoles, compete with (or buy out) your rivals, and much more!
And speaking of what's next - I'm currently working on the next big update planned for March/April 2025, which will include:
Studio layout templates (copy/paste your studio setups!)
Console manufacturing cost reduction based on sales
I want to thank all of you who've been supporting the game's development. Whether you're a long-time player or just thinking about jumping in, now's a great time with the Winter Sale discount!
Take care,
Xavier aka Binogure
P.S. If you run into any issues, don't hesitate to let me know. I'm always here to help! :)
PS 2: This is my upcoming game, that should be out for $2.99 on April 7th 2025. I'm sure you're gonna love a DEMOCRATIC monpoly on Steroids with TEAM !
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1810050/Fortune_Avenue/
Hey everyone! A quick update today, but one that fixes some rather... annoying issues!
Hi everyone! Today, big stability update! The game had a tendency to crash a bit too often for my taste, so I spent quite some time fixing all that.
Hi everyone! A quick update today, with some bonus info about what's coming!
Hey folks !
My other game, Fortune Avenue, just got a major update! For those who haven't heard about it yet, imagine Monopoly reinvented with modern twists that keep the game fresh and exciting. You can take planes to zip across the board, escape melting ice floes, vote on game-changing rules every 12 rolls, and even organize the World Cup to multiply your hotel's rent tenfold!

As someone who loves management games (like you all!), I designed Fortune Avenue to be deeply strategic while keeping that fun party game spirit. Instead of a boring jail, you might find yourself on a luxury cruise. And if you're falling behind, watch out for the helicopter that chases down the poorest players!

The new update brings tons of improvements and new features that make the game even more enjoyable. Plus, it's very affordable at just $2.99 - less than a cup of coffee! If you enjoy City Game Studio's mix of strategy and management, I think you'll have a blast with Fortune Avenue too.
Come try it out and let me know what you think! I'm always around to chat and improve both games based on your feedback.
Take care,
Xavier aka Binogure
P.S. There's also a free demo available if you want to give it a test drive first!

Hi everyone! Quick update to fix two rather... interesting bugs!
Hi everyone! A quick update today. Nothing crazy, but a few fixes that should improve your gaming experience!
Hey fellow gamers ! Were thrilled to announce that City Game Studio has been selected to be part of The Game Awards for Games Who Cant Afford the Game Awards (TGAGWCAGA) 2024 Showcase! TGAGWCAGA is a brand new showcase designed to spotlight incredible indie games that truly deserve more attentionwhile also poking a bit of fun at the exclusivity of The Game Awards. Hello everyone! A small studio director update, because sometimes he took his boss role a bit too seriously.
Hello folks! I'm thrilled to announce that City Game Studio has been selected to participate in the Zero Carbon Quest festival on Steam from November 25th to December 2nd, 2024. As a solo developer creating a game about building successful gaming companies, it feels pretty meta to be thinking about my own studio's environmental impact! For those wondering - yes, I've been tracking my carbon emissions during development (turns out my coffee machine is responsible for 73% of it... just kidding!). But in all seriousness, I'm proud to be part of this initiative alongside other environmentally conscious developers. While City Game Studio isn't about saving the planet (unless you count saving virtual game companies from bankruptcy), I believe that every studio, big or small, has a role to play in making our industry more sustainable. After all, you wouldn't ignore your game's budget in the simulation, so why ignore my real-world carbon budget? During the festival, you'll have the chance to grab City Game Studio at a special discount. Join me in showing that independent game development can be both creative and environmentally responsible. Hope to see you there, and remember - in both game development and sustainability, every small action counts! Take Care, Xavier aka Binogure P.S. No pixels were harmed in the making of this announcement.
Hello folks! As the year comes to an end, I've got some exciting news! City Game Studio will be joining the Zero Carbon Quest festival with a special 40% discount. From December 9th at 3 PM CET until December 16th at 4 PM CET, you can grab your chance to become a virtual game industry mogul while being kind to your wallet (and the planet)! Fun fact: I calculated that the energy used to develop this discount announcement could be recovered by the savings of just three players buying the game instead of running their own game studios in real life. Now that's what I call efficient resource management! Whether you're dreaming of building the next big gaming empire or just want to experience the thrill of game development from the comfort of your energy-efficient computer, now is the perfect time to dive in. Take Care, Xavier aka Binogure P.S. This message was powered by sustainable coffee
Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to announce the biggest update yet for City Game Studio! Since the Steam Daily Deal, I've been working hard to deliver an improved version of the game. This announcement summarizes the major changes in v1.21, so for those who've been following the devlogs these past months, feel free to skip to the end for future announcements.
Hey fellow game dev enthusiasts! Since launching City Game Studio in 2019, this passion project has grown beyond my wildest dreams. As a solo developer (except for our awesome musician Conciliator!), I've poured countless hours into crafting and refining every aspect of the game - from the intricate management systems to the tiniest UI improvements. Through thick and thin, your feedback has shaped CGS into what it is today. We've added numerous features like custom console creation, digital store management, and even the ability to crack competitors' games (legally in-game, of course! ). Today, I'm excited to share two things:
Hi everyone!
This week I've been working hard on the game's interface, improving translations thanks to you, and fixing bugs! I want to mention that all changes come from your feedback.
You pointed out some interface gaps, so I continued working on improving it. I've refreshed the studio list design. Now, active studios have a blue icon while idle ones have a black icon next to their name. This makes it easy to see at a glance which studios are busy and which ones are slacking.
I've also removed another menu icon. This icon wasn't well explained and barely used, even by me. Now, from the studio list, you can directly update computers, servers, assign all employees to a studio, or remove all employees from a specific studio. These small changes greatly improve the gaming experience.
I also worked on the digital store interface to make it a bit prettier, but it's not worth dwelling on.
Another feedback was about translations, and as always, you were right. There were translation issues and you fixed them!
Many languages have been corrected, including English, Italian, Simplified Chinese, and Russian, to name a few. If you're interested in helping translate City Game Studio into your native language, join the Discord server - there's a button directly on City Game Studio's Steam page with all the information.
As for bug fixes, it's the same story. Thanks to your in-game feedback form reports, I've fixed quite a few. There was an issue with game console licenses, which should now be fixed. I say "should" because I couldn't reproduce the problem on my machines, so I had to inspect the code and believe it was a display issue.
Well, that's the work accomplished this past week. And I have great news for you - the current game version is almost ready for release. Version 1.21.0 will launch on December 9th, 2024. In just under 10 days. During these 10 days, I'll focus on fixing as many bugs as possible while also preparing for a festival.
City Game Studio has been selected for the Zero Carbon festival - I think it's the oldest game participating in this festival. And that makes me a bit proud. So I need to prepare many things: the update announcement, promotions (the game will be on sale during the festival), refreshing the Steam page a bit. The screenshots are somewhat dated. I'll probably make a new trailer too. The latest one uses a game version from 2021, and in 3 years, City Game Studio has evolved quite a bit.
That's all from me, thank you for reading,
If you have any comments, advice, or suggestions, don't hesitate - I always enjoy reading them
Take care,
Xavier aka Binogure

Here is the English version, staying as close as possible to the original text: Hey everyone! The end-of-year holidays are fast approaching, and with them comes a slew of festivals and Steam sales. In fact, I had to move up the date of the next update, which will now be available by December 8th, 2024! Now, I have to confess something to you. Usually, I publish an update when it's ready. That way, I can be sure it's complete and substantial, without having to rush. But for this upcoming update, which is already quite substantial, I'm going to have to work harder than usual to get it done on time.

Hey folks !
While guiding you through the world of game development with City Game Studio, Im coming with something new: Fortune Avenue! Imagine Monopoly with a twist (and maybe a helicopter). I poured the same dedication into crafting a board game experience thats both familiar and wildly unpredictable.

This isnt just another stroll down Boardwalk; think evolving rules, melting ice floes, and airports that can catapult you across the board! I wanted to create a game where each session brings something fresh, challenging you to adapt your strategy with every dice roll. And yes, I even threw in some anti-cheat measures to keep things fair for all you fiercely competitive types.

So, if youre ready to take a break from managing your studio empire, Id love for you to check out the Fortune Avenue demo. Im still a one-person team, which means your feedback is invaluable. Together, lets see if we can make Fortune Avenue as beloved as City Game Studio.
Grab a friend (or a rival), roll the dice, and let the chaos begin!
Take care
Why I'm doing a 3D multiplayer board game ? Because I need to train for the sequel of City Game Studio that's why
Hey everyone!
I'm a bit morose today, but that hasn't stopped me from being productive! So let's talk about it right away!
I've fixed the issue with the studio director, and now you can specify a genre, or even two. The same goes for the game engine.
Last week, I had rushed to provide you with a version with a functional studio director, but that first draft had quite a few small bugs. Some of them meant that the studio director was producing low-quality games. Well, it's better now, but it's not quite perfect yet. I still need to look at what can be improved. It seems the studio director still doesn't choose the best theme for a given genre. I don't think I'll have any trouble fixing this bug.
In any case, I hope you like this improved version. I've tested it, and the studio directors have produced respectable-quality games, with scores above 80%.
However, be careful, as the studio director now takes their share. They'll get a cut of the revenue generated by the game. And all of this is displayed directly in the financial results.
But I'm not done with them yet. I hope that by next week I'll have had time to add two key features.
The first one is automatic game announcements. You'll be able to set a maximum budget for this announcement, and the studio director will try to announce it themselves. Nevertheless, you'll still have the right to make the game announcements yourself if you wish.
The other upcoming change concerns game updates. I've started working on it, but it's not quite finished yet. I'd like the studio directors to be able to publish updates to your games. For now, the option is present but it's an empty shell, nothing happens. I think I'll have time to do that by next week!
In short, apart from that, I have an interface bug to fix, nothing serious, but it's not related to the studio director, rather the list of published games (the right-hand panel).
That's it, thank you for reading,
I'll see you again next week.
Take care.

Hey everyone! It's been a few weeks now that I've been working on the studio director, and there's still a lot of work ahead before having something functional. This feature is much more complex than expected. I hadn't taken into account not only the game reports, but also the degree of freedom that the studio director should offer you, or even how the scores should be shown to you.

Hello everyone!
I'm happy to be back with you, as every week, for this devlog.
I must admit that this week has been more about intense reflection than anything else. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to properly integrate the studio director.
For example, how is the studio director supposed to choose a game's price? Because it depends on the game's size. So if the studio director makes a AAA-sized game, the price will need to be adjusted. Therefore, I had to think about these different cases. For the specific case of pricing, you'll be able to slide the price between "gaining more fans" or "generating more revenue." This way, the studio director will optimize the price according to your directives.
What about specialists?
Again, I had to make some challenging choices. Do we assign a specialist to a studio director, or do we let the studio director pick from available specialists? I preferred the second option. For example, when you want to make a AAA game, the studio director will take the first available producer, and if this producer has a specialty and you've set everything to automatic, then the studio director will choose the game genre that best matches the producer.
The idea is to make your life easier. But the choices offered must also make sense. So, for now, the studio director panel only displays game creation options. But it will need to display other information such as the revenue generated and what they've earned. A rating will be assigned to the studio director that will allow you to judge their skills. This rating will be based on previous games they've directed. You should therefore be able to consult the list of games they've directed.
In short, the studio director will take longer than expected to be fully functional, but I don't want to rush the feature and deliver something that only half works.
You'll need to be patient, I'm doing my best!
I received other interesting feedback about studio furnishing. Your ideas are good and will likely be added for v1.22.0, an update dedicated to studio furnishing!
Many of you use mods. Some mods improve City Game Studio's lifespan, but sometimes at the cost of poor balance. Also, to make your life easier, I thought about working on an algorithm that will automatically analyze mods and warn you if a mod impacts game balance. Well, that's a big piece, so I think I'll keep it for v1.23.0, but I think it will help everyone better understand the impacts of mods.
That's all for this week.
Thanks for reading
Take care

Hello everyone! This week has been much calmer than the last two, and I'm delighted about that. Even though I love seeing hundreds of players on City Game Studio, it still puts pressure on me. So having about thirty simultaneous players suits me better. Anyway, we're not here to talk about what I like, but rather about City Game Studio and its progress!

Hello folks, This week has been incredible. Almost 9,000 of you played the game in less than a week! This has never happened before for City Game Studio! And all of this for a game thats over 5 years old. Honestly, you all are amazing! Ive carefully and happily read your feedback! Some of you have spent way too much time playing, and Im sorry for you... You might need to turn off your computer and go... No, Im just kidding!! You can start another game, and just release one more new title. Just that. And then when it releases, youll just publish one more because, well, it doesnt take that long. And before you know it, the suns up and the day has begun! Jokes aside, youve been super numerous and enthusiastic, and your feedback has been incredibly helpful. There were crashes, and I thank you for letting me know! Thanks to you, everything is back in order, and all the crashes are covered! There were also bugs, both small and not-so-small. In any case, this update aims to fix them all while adding some quality of life improvements. For example, Ive added an option that allows the game to pause as soon as you release a video game. It helps optimize your time better. Among the other changes are mostly fixes. The right-hand panel, brand new and shiny, had a few bugs. Pagination was always displayed even when it wasnt needed, and clicking on a button would change the graphs when it should have just refreshed them. Another important change/fix is the summary when a console is removed from the market. The summary panel had calculation errors, which might have made it seem like taxes were driving you to bankruptcy, but that wasnt the case. It was more a pricing issue with the console. And by the way, the suggested price is now a bit higher to help you make more money. There are other changes in this update, and theyre all listed in the changelog, so I encourage you to read it or simply launch City Game Studio and enjoy the update! Thank you for reading, and once again, thank you for playing in such great numbers this week. You are incredible! Take care, Xavier aka Binogure
Hey folks! It's an amazing day! You are more than 400 playing a 7-year-old game! It is really amazing! Thank you so much! But, some of you might experience some nasty crash when launching the game. I spent the whole day figuring out what's happening till I found the root cause! It was due to the interactive thread loading, which was poorly written (I wonder who wrote it huh?!). Anyway, I overhauled it, and it works like a charm, this update brings more stability when loading or starting a new game! I'm really sorry for that crash. I should have fixed it years ago, but better later than never right?! [Edit] This patch is a bit bigger since I also fixed 2 other crashes and 2 minor bugs (one for the CZ language, and the other one is about having stuttering when loading a new game). Thank you for playing this game. Have a nice day. Take care. Xavier aka Binogure

Hello folks! I'm excited to announce the release of City Game Studio v1.20.0, a significant update that enhances the game development simulation experience. This update brings numerous improvements and new features that will redefine your virtual game studio management journey.
Hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. Over here, I'm feeling pretty under the weather, but that hasn't stopped me from being productive!
This week, I fixed a few bugsnothing major, but they were definitely affecting the gameplay experience.
The first issue was with studio furniture. All furniture was showing a 110% happiness boost, which was, of course, just a visual bug. I've already fixed it in the unstable branch on Steam. The second bug was related to conventions, which weren't refreshing properly and kept showing only one small stand.
That covers the bug fixes, but I've also added a few new features! Ive updated the main game interface, and now youll find submenus within the main menu. For instance, the button to create games now opens a submenu displaying all actions available in the game creation panel. This means you can go directly to the game port panel from the pop-up. I tested it outit's a bit unfamiliar at first, but it works well, and you get used to it quickly!
Thanks to this new panel, I was also able to remove a button from the bottom menu, making navigation in City Game Studio even smoother.
And now, I have a surprise for you! Version 1.20.0 will be live on September 25, 2024!
As with every update, there will be a discount. And this time, its the biggest one yet50% off!
So if youre still on the fence, hang tight and get your wallets ready for September 25, 2024!
On my end, Ill keep testing the game to fix as many bugs as possible.
Catch you next week! In the meantime, take care of yourselves!

Hello everyone!
Well, its been a crazy busy week. Im currently preparing the marketing side of v1.20, and its taking quite a bit of my timetime that Im not spending on actual game development. But, were getting closer to the update release, so most of my time is now dedicated to testing and reviewing bug reports.
And youve found a lot of different bugs for me, though they all seem to stem from the same issue. When I introduced pagination for published games, I also introduced a bunch of bugs that prevented updates from being published or even sales from being organized. Fortunately, those bugs are now fixed, and I also took the opportunity to address a small but very visual bugthose bouncing dice that just fly off the screen.
Another fun addition is a new competitor: "Running with a Fork" has been added to the game. The logo is a bit more polished compared to other competitors, but its a little nod to the studio behind the excellent Postal 2! I should warn you though, Postal 2 is a great game, but a little violent and quite over the top.
In the last devlog, I mentioned City Game Studio 2, and I have to admit that now that Ive talked about it, Im really eager to start working on it. But before that, there are a couple of things I still need to wrap up in City Game Studio 1.
This week, Ill be focusing on adding sub-menus when you click on the buttons at the bottom of the screen. So, instead of opening big pop-ups that take time to load when youre searching for something, youll get a smaller menu offering different tabs via icons. It doesnt sound like much, but trust me, it should make your life easier.
To close this devlog, I want to give you a peek at the next big updatev1.21.0. I want to make things easier by introducing a new employee role: the Studio Director. This person will have a unique role, automating certain tasks. The Studio Director will need to be assigned to a studio, and only that director can manage the studio. When you release a game, you can instruct the director to automatically put the game out as soon as possible, so you wont have to worry about it. The idea isnt mine, once again, it came from you, and its a brilliant suggestion that should be coming with v1.21.0.
Thanks for reading! Ill see you next week for the final devlog of v1.20.0.
Take care,
Xavier aka Binogure

Hello folks!
As always, welcome to my weekly devlog here on Steam!
Every devlog I share with you the progress of the project, but this time I'm going one step further.
Moving on to the banker, from now on a new banker appears from the 90s onwards. Although she's a banker, I wanted to add a little more diversity to the City Game Studio characters. However, it's only a visual difference, since the offers you receive remain the same. Just like the change in the look of the magazines that rate your games, this change underlines the progression over time.
Another thing I've reworked is the part about buying out competitors. As the dialog box was a bit dull, I added your logos to brighten things up. I also changed the number of fans you get when you buy a competitor. Previously, the number of fans depended solely on the difficulty of the game, with a bit of randomness.
I've changed all that to a new calculation that's no longer random. Instead, your company's rating serves as a ratio of the number of fans you're going to collect. This number is now included when you buy out a competitor. I guess it's time to close this part of the game and move on to the next part.
So, as I said at the very beginning of this devlog, I'm also going to tell you what's going to happen to City Game Studio.
First of all, I plan to continue developing City Game Studio, i.e. adding competitors, events, fixing bugs and reviewing certain aspects of the game.
However, I feel that the game is now in a state that I really like and it has become; the game I had in mind when I started working on it in 2016! For this reason, City Game Studio won't be seeing any major new additions. I'm going to add new consoles, new conferences, new events, but I'm not going to completely overhaul game creation, for example. Doing so would significantly change the spirit of the game.
Yet I do want to change it and have a completely different approach, something much more modular that would give you more freedom, and above all make the game experience much more smooth. These new ideas are the ones you regularly suggest to me, but also the ones that come up when I'm working on City Game Studio. They're all excellent ideas, and deserve to be part of a video game company management game. Actually, I'm not talking about City Game Studio, but rather the sequel, which could be called City Game Studio 2! I'm not developing the sequel yet, but I'm preparing it. In other words, I'm just starting to write a document that will take up the whole game. I'm not about to show you anything, I'm still working on City Game Studio, and there's a huge milestone coming up in the next few weeks!
Later in September 2024, the game will be promoted by Steam, with a huge discount, the biggest yet.
I have high expectations for this event. If you want, you can also help out by sharing your feedback about the game on Steam. Whether it's positive or not, I know that your opinion counts and that other gamers, and I myself, will read it carefully. Recently, Steam has revised its algorithm for highlighting reviews, and the most relevant reviews will have a greater impact on game visibility.
That's it for me.
Thanks for reading!
Take care!

Hello everyone,
It's been a great week, and I've got a few treats up my sleeve for you!
First and foremost, acquiring competitors. So far, clicking on Buy gets you everything. Fans, studios, employees, games - in short, everything you can get when you buy a competitor.
Obviously, it's a bit of a mess. Your games are all mixed up, and that can be frustrating.
From now on, when you buy a competitor, you'll be offered what you want to buy. Games, studios or employees. Not exhaustively, but globally. Do you want to buy all the games, or none of them?
Which gives you more control and therefore more freedom!
I also took the time to review the in-game tool that lets you design your company logos!
The old one wasn't very practical, and this new one is just a little bit better.
Well, v1.20.0 is starting to get big and the rest of the to-do list has largely shrunk.
Next week, I plan to continue working on the banker so that it can finally evolve with time. And probably a few more in-game events, to spice up your games a bit.
Well, that's it for me!
Until then, I wish you a lovely week.
Take care.

Hello everyone!
City Game Studio's next major update is almost ready.
I can't wait to make it available to everyone! However, before that happens, I've still got a few weeks' work to do.
So this week, I've been working on the competitors. I've added 13 to be exact. Although their names are a bit humorous, their logos should be recognizable!
Anyway, you can try to guess the logos that have been drawn!
As Ayfri pointed out, there aren't many logos to choose from when you're creating your company. So I designed 10 more.
And I think I'll focus on the logo editor to make it a bit prettier. If I remember correctly, this version was made in 2020.
It's a bit dated, and I've got a few ideas to make it a bit nicer.
Lately, you've been suggesting an extra page to be able to filter the games made by the competitors you've bought out. Also, I'm thinking of giving you a choice when you buy a competitor. You can choose to keep the studios, the employees, the games, the game engines or nothing at all. By doing so, it's more in line with reality. For example, you can buy out a competitor, but resell their game to make some money. The same applies to studios and game engines, but not to employees.
Anyway, I'm going to try to work on it, although I don't think I have enough time to do it for next week, I'm going to try though!
Well, that's it for me!
Until then, I wish you a lovely week.
Take care.

Hello everyone!
A busy week has come to an end, and a new one is beginning.
I've been busy working on City Game Studio, and glad to have made some progress on the game's interface.
I've focussed this time on the published games section.
While it's important to be able to browse the list of games you've published, showing a huge list doesn't really make sense.
Mainly because the game itself has to handle so many games to display.
So while you don't need to see every game you have available on the market, you should be able to view them all.
This is why the published games panel now displays only the 10 most recently released games. You can still view other games by switching the page displayed.
This is useful when you have 50 games published at the same time, and above all, it saves your resources.
Next week, I'm going to start adding more content, mainly about competitors.
If you have any ideas of competitors you'd like to see in the game, I'd be delighted to draw their logo!
In the meantime, I wish you a pleasant week.
Take good care of yourselves.

Hello everyone!
Yet another hot and busy week!
I hope everything is going well at home! Because over here, everything is going great.
The Banker implementation has progressed well. It fits in well with the game, and makes for much better endgame management.
I think this addition will make the game easier for newcomers to City Game Studio.
Whereas in the past, certain decisions led directly to bankruptcy, now you have a banker to help you out. Frankly, it's one of the best additions of 2024.
Well, that was for the additions of the week just ended. However, for the coming week, I'm planning to add even more choices to the banker, so as to give you even more freedom.
Version 1.20.0 already contains quite a few changes, but I've still got a few things up my sleeve for you. For example, the list of published games on the right-hand panel is nice when you've got 5 or 6 games published. But when you've published dozens and dozens of games, this list becomes difficult to navigate. So I'm planning to rework it to make it easier to read, and to optimize it too.
I don't know if I'll have the time to do all that in a single week, but I'm going to try.
I'm also planning to add new competitors. There are currently 23 different competitors, so it would be nice if I could add at least ten.
Anyway, I've still got a lot of work to do, so I'll leave you to it.
Take care of yourselves.

Hello folks!
I have some great news. The banker's integration into City Game Studio has begun.
Under the hood, the banker is there, but visually nothing has changed for you. Only the presence of a `banker.gde` file that allows me to show the banker and his interaction.
Nothing has changed in the game, for the moment. Because the banker doesn't provide any solution, he just appears, you click a button and it's game-over. So I'd rather not to show him in-game.
Hopefully, by next week, you'll already be able to sell your game engine or console to replenish your company's treasury.
Which means that next week, you should be able to start negotiating with him.
After all, this week I've mainly been working on optimizing the game. As last week I reviewed Steam's detection algorithm, I've took a close look at what happens when you launch City Game Studio.
As I keep adding new features to City Game Studio, I want to make sure it doesn't get any slower. So I've looked at memory consumption in detail. As an example, opening the game and staying on the main menu takes up around 2.5G of RAM. Then when you load a savegame and land in the middle of your studio, City Game Studio uses around 3G of RAM.
Therefore, I've overhauled the way the game's assets are loaded. Rather than preloading everything in memory, assets are now loaded on demand when the game needs them.
City Game Studio launches faster, and takes up less memory. It saves around 1G of RAM. Furthermore, as assets are loaded dynamically, performance is not affected. So it's really a win-win situation.
I also took the opportunity to fix a few more minor bugs that were affecting the gaming experience. Thanks to XHFlame for pointing them out!
That's about it for this week, next week will be more exciting for sure!
Until then, take care

Hello everyone!
Summer's here, so I'm easing off a bit. I admit I haven't been very productive on the development front lately. Lots of small fixes, some rather old bugs and a few small visual improvements.
Community-wise, as always, I've been present, I've read you, and you've come up with some great ideas for the banker. Thank you for the ideas you've shared, and let me tell you what's going to be added for the banker.
For the easiest difficulties, the banker will offer you some nice choices, but not without consequences.
Following on from your ideas, in the first three difficulties, the banker will suggest that you sell your game engine, if that's possible of course.
Or maybe sell your console, or your competitors' shares. He may also require you to work with a competitor to publish one of their games.
Granted, these aren't always pleasant choices, but a banker is still a banker, and a banker rarely gives you good news.
OK, let's move on to higher difficulties. The banker will force you into more painful choices. He may force you to close one or more studios and lay off all its employees. You're going to give a good impression of a responsible manager who pleases his creditors. The banker may ask you to resell one of your games to bail out the company. He may also demand that you sell your dematerialized store, which you can only get back in exchange for a substantial fee.
In short, implementing the banker's discussion is easy, though it's the choices he'll give you that give me a hard time. There's nothing in the game about disabling certain features, or reselling a game, console or game engine. However, closing studios is already an easier thing to do, as is laying off employees, selling market share or even working for a competitor.
As for the banker's face, it may change and I may draw a more contemporary one.
Next week, I'm going to start reviewing bankruptcy management in depth.
Until then, take care.

Hello everyone!
Yet another busy work week, and frankly, it's looking better and better.
Last week, I simplified the employee management interface.
Until now, if you wanted to hire an employee and assign them to a studio, you had to open the relevant studio, then open the employee panel and finally hire your employees.
But if you wanted to change studio, you had to close the employee panel, then change studio, then go back to the employee panel. It wasn't very convenient.
From now on, the hiring panel directly includes the studio you're hiring for. It's much more practical.
I've also reworked the game's marketing and conventions, and I think you'll like the changes I've made.

Hello all!
After two weeks' absence, it's about time for another article!
Everyone's been really pleased with the EMPOWER UPDATE.
All the feedback has been super positive and it's given me the strength to go even further!
Speaking of going further, over the past few weeks I've been working on v1.20.0, and the game's interface is changing.
What I mean by this is studio, company and convention management.
For example, you can withdraw all employees from a studio with a simple button. This is super handy when you want to move a studio without selling it. Speaking of studios, instead of having to open panels that pause the game, you're going to be able to access your studio's statistics directly from the studio view, so you don't have to pause the game.
Renaming a university meant going to the studios, then selecting the building to rename. Which was a bit confusing. From now on, the training management panel can also be used to rename universities. It's all in one place, which makes life easier. And it's the same for conventions.
This is a major overhaul I'm working on to give you an even better gaming experience.
But this isn't the main feature of the new update.
I have just begun to overhaul the game-over panel. To put it bluntly, when you lose a game, the mortgage panel appears, or the game-over panel directly, with no explanation. It's very brutal and leads to frustration! That's why I'm in the process of adding a step when it comes to spending money, so that a financial advisor can take over and offer you alternatives and advice.
I haven't designated this part yet, so I still have a lot of work to do before I can share it with you!
That's all for this week, see you next week.
In the meantime, take care.

Hello everyone! THE EMPOWER UPDATE was released a few days ago, and I've already noticed a few bugs in the new version. In particular, I've reworked the Twitch integration, and getting viewers to name the games works on the first try. I also spent some time adding Twitch integration for naming buildings you build, conventions and DLC. On top of these changes, I've added a new difficulty that's identical to the hardest one, except that the percentage of gauges is displayed when you create games. You asked for it, so I'm adding it, and I hope you like it! Last two fixes, the first is a semantic problem. The word "employee" has been replaced by "developer" in the requirements for creating large games. And the second relates to free updates: if the name of the game was too long, then it would nullify the name of the studio. Well, it's a relief to have been able to fix all these bugs, and I certainly hope it will improve your gaming experience! Until then, I'll see you for the next devlog. Take care. Xavier aka Binogure
Hello folks!
It's finally summer, and so is the EMPOWER UPDATE!
Sit back and make yourself comfortable, because there are a lot of changes in this version!
We're starting with the little changes that make you happy. New logos for your companies, designed to make you want to use them. The tooltips have also been redesigned, meaning you can now deactivate the tutorial from a tooltip (I can't believe I didn't do that before).
Here's a little situation. You've been playing for two hours, the game is running smoothly, the last save was just a few minutes ago, and now boom you've created a new game by mistake. You want to go back, but you can't. Instead, you can quit the game by choosing to save or not. Now, it's a simple menu button to quit the game. I really should have thought of that before.
Anyway, let's get down to the nitty-gritty of the update: Twitch integration. After looking at what other management games have done with Twitch integration, I've come to the conclusion that it should be very simple to connect to your Twitch account. So, from the options panel, all you have to do is enter your username, click on a link, and paste the token into the game to connect City Game Studio to your Twitch account. Easy peasy. Your viewers can become your employees. They can become producers, developers, accountants - the choice is theirs. And you're free to hire or fire them. Once you've hired a viewer, he or she can display an emoji on his or her head with a simple command. Once you've hired a viewer, they'll be able to display an emoji on their head with a simple command. Plus, you'll be able to create polls asking your viewers to suggest names for games, studios, companies, buildings, consoles - in fact, just about anything that can be named in City Game Studio. I'm planning to add more features to this Twitch integration, but I'm waiting for your feedback to see what you think.
Steamdeck users have asked me to add an option to make the game's font larger, so it's in the options panel. In terms of interface, there are lots of little changes that make the game nicer. And above all, I have cleaned up the code that manages the interface, making it a little more efficient.
Did I mention the store? Because it's undergone a few changes. You can now furnish your studios as if you had no respect for your employees. Put in as many desks as the studio can fit. Well, your employees aren't going to be happy about this kind of feature, so I've added the ability to cheat by setting employees' happiness levels. Yes, it's cheating, but it's not mandatory and it's up to you to decide whether or not to activate it. Back to the store, I've also redesigned its interface to make it a little more pleasing to the eye. And personally, I find it much prettier.
Among the game's minor changes are the addition of the Ukrainian language, and the ability to press the "Enter" key on the keyboard for the DDoS mini-game. Two new components have been added when you create your console: new hard disks. And you can now erase the technical debt of your game engines, thus cancelling any malus associated with updating them.
For dessert, a few patches ( they're quite numerous.). Income from consoles you create is now calculated correctly. DLCs are now displayed in the financial table. Canceling the release of a console now cancels games that are supposed to be released on that console. Recruits were not being generated correctly, sometimes leading to strange bugs. Duplicating your savegame renames the company. The number of units sold on your consoles was miscalculated. I'll stop here, because there are more than 20 fixes in this update, and if you want to know everything, the best thing to do is start a new game that won't last too long, just say 5 or 6 hours to reach the year 2000!
I'd like to thank more and more of you for following City Game Studio's development, and keep on following the game, because the next update will contain a special treat. That's all I'll tell you!
Until then, take care.
Xavier aka Binogure
P.S:
For those who made it this far, I've started work on my next game, a revisited Monopoly with a voting system, a helicopter, a Wheel of Fortune and lots of other little things.

Hello folks!
It's almost summer and along with it your vacations! Oh yes, I'm not planning a vacation! I've got way too much to do, and I've got to keep up the pace!
Especially as it's City Game Studio's birthday this summer, so we'll have to work hard to come up with another quality update!
Anyway, this week I've been working on a lot of little things, including adding cheat code and redesigning the store to make it more visually appealing.
I've also taken the time to optimize the game's panels, so that they load faster, and I've improved the tooltips to make it easier to understand what's going on!
In short, if you try Steam's unstable branch, you're in for a real change of scene!
I haven't yet had time to rework the game-over. By that I mean the game's behavior. I've read your comments and they're excellent. My favorite remains the release of a game that's almost ready to give the player a chance. Otherwise, I think I'll give you a choice. Let's put it this way:
The company's finances are in dire straits. The bank refuses to lend us money because we're no longer bankable.
Well, I've got several options for you, although I know you're not going to like them:
- A competitor offers you $150,000,000 to buy your console. It stays on the market, but no longer belongs to you.
- Investors are interested in your digital store, and offer to buy it back for $500,000,000, but you will no longer be allowed to operate a dematerialized store.
- Grantendo is very interested in your game engine, and offers you $50,000,000. If you accept, the engine will become private and will no longer belong to you. The games you've published using this engine will remain yours.
So, I think that offering this kind of choice to players will give them a second chance, while making them pay a relatively high price.
If you have any other ideas in this vein, post them in the comments, I'll read you and take the best promises!
In the meantime, take care of yourselves!

Hello everyone!
This week, I reworked the tooltips and improved the game's readability on the Steamdeck.
I still need to work on the game over.
Well, I think the game over is well done, in the sense that the feedback you've given me has been positive. But when you've got several million and you lose all at once, you get a game-over screen and it's far too harsh. Because there's no explanation. As a result, I'd like to make a rather drastic adjustment to when a player loses.
For example, when you're supposed to lose, but in the previous month you had a positive balance, then the game gives you an extra chance by offering you a mortgage. This raises the question of what to do if you already have a mortgage.
I think that if you have a mortgage and you're supposed to lose, if you can afford it, then the game should offer you a mortgage again. Otherwise, it's the game-over screen.
Which I think it would be better to have an explanatory screen to show the player how he/she lost before getting to the mortgage screen. These two features should genuinely enhance your gaming experience, especially in the event of defeat.
Let me know what you think in the comments!
On that note, take care!

Hello everyone!
I fixed some bugs this week. With Twitch integration and the overhaul of the studio algo, I've dropped a few bugs.
First and most obvious is a problem with royalties when creating a game engine. Indeed, when you create a proprietary game engine, you don't get royalties, that's now fixed. If you've encountered this bug in your savegame, all you have to do is update the engine to make the bug disappear.
The second glitch is a problem with employees. Although the game shows you 100 employees, only 80 can be found on the interface. Employees are duplicated. That's been fixed too, and if you encounter this problem, the best thing to do is to unassign all employees, then reassign them.
Currently, unassigning employees takes some doing, but this week I'm going to add a button to unassign all employees. That should make it easier.
Yet another bug involves the consoles you manufacture. If you release 2 consoles, and each one makes a profit of 10 million. Then you'll get 30 million instead of 20... Why, well, you see, it turned out to be a bug, and it's been fixed! There was also another bug with consoles: releasing a console in February would show it as released in January. That's been corrected.
That's it, so I'm still planning to work on the Steamdeck next week, as well as adding a Don't show again button on tooltips (I think you'll appreciate this addition), not to mention reviewing the game-over screen.
It's been a busy week of fixes, and I know there's still one bug: when you rename your company, the interface doesn't update, so you have to reload the game for it to show up. I'll work on it next week!
Until then, take care and see you next week.

Hello folks!
Well, I've dug deeper into the studio generation algorithm to bring you something unique!
It's already available on Steam's unstable branch, so if you want to try it out, go ahead!
To cut a long story short, the Studio Generation algorithm has been overhauled, and several templates have been added. In particular, I've added one that lets you furnish your studios to such an extent that nothing fits in them anymore. The biggest studios can have up to 200 workstations... But don't forget that this is an open-space environment. So if you're going to put that many people in the same office, I'd strongly advise you to leave room for drinks machines, TVs and any other furniture you need to relax. But I've found a way to put 150 employees in a single studio and get 100% happiness by playing with the studio generator options. Which means you can too!
There are other changes in the unstable version, and I really invite you to try it out if you want to see it all.
Next week, I'll be working a little on the Steamdeck part. Namely, adding an option for larger fonts.
Another thing I need to work on is the game-over screen. It's too rough at the moment, so I'm going to rework it.
I've still got 2 bugs to iron out, and otherwise I'm going to continue making tiny visual changes to make the game more comfortable to the eye.
That's all, and it's already pretty good!

It's been a wonderful week, and already it's time to tell you about the week's progress and what's coming up next week!
Granted, adding the Twitch integration wasn't easy. I've corrected the few bugs that came to my attention. Now, the integration is working well!
I intend to wait for your feedback before adding more features for Twitch!

Hello everyone,
I'm rereading last week's devlog and I realize that I didn't do what I promised.
Instead, I fixed quite a few bugs. The most notable was the one that allowed you to create a new save slot, but renamed the company by adding +1 to its name.
I also worked on the game engines. You pointed out to me that engines became obsolete quickly, and that the penalty for updating an engine could be too severe. So I've revised this part and within Steam's unstable branch you can now, for engines that have a penalty, rewrite the existing code to cancel that penalty. Obviously, I want to do things right, so the cost of the rewrite depends on the difficulty. And of course, it's moddable. The mod maker has been updated and what's more, it's backward compatible. In short, I've taken my time to make something that's just right for you.
In terms of quality of life, I've also added two buttons when you close the game while you're playing. These are: return to main menu without saving, and exit the game without saving. Well, I should have considered it sooner, but it's done.
That's what I worked on last week, and next week I'll have to work on the studio part. In other words, improving the quality of studio life (generations, management...).
I've still got a few other things I'd like to work on to make the game nicer, but I'll tell you about them next week!
Until then, take care.

Hello all!
There's already been some positive feedback regarding the next update. In fact, you can try out the update by going to Steam's unstable branch.
Feedback has been very positive, and that's great to see.
Twitch integration is coming along nicely, and this week I'm going to start working on the actions viewers can have when they've been recruited by the streamer.
I'm planning to add a couple of animations, like displaying emojis on the employee's head. Another is the ability to change the employee's appearance.
When I'm done with the Twitch integration, I'll get down to overhauling the store. I say overhaul, but it's more a question of adding features.
First, studios can be automatically furnished more densely. This means you can have over 100 desks in a single studio without having to place them by hand.
I think you're going to like this new feature.
Secondly, if time permits, I'm going to add the ability to duplicate studio layout. How the player can do this still needs to be defined, before I even look at how to do it in-game.
It's all hard work, and that's why updates take time.
See you next week for the rest.
Have a great weekend!

Hello there!
Many thanks for reading as you do every week. I try to be a little more concise and efficient every time!
So no jokes just information about what's coming up.
Over the past few days, I've been working on some fixes, and adding the
hidden
possibility of setting City Game Studio to borderless mode. A mode that works in windowed or full-screen mode.
However, this week I also started to tackle the meaty part of the next update!
A big chunk of code to write, which will take me several weeks.
Right now, City Game Studio is able to authenticate to Twitch's chatroom (via a rather neat IRC client), and I've also put up a web page to retrieve the authentication token.
Here's the link, but please note that the link alone doesn't connect City Game Studio to Twitch.
Once you click on the authentication button from within the game, this web page will open. If you open it in your browser, you won't see much of interest.
To sum up, today the IRC client in City Game Studio already connects to the twitch IRC server, but it's disabled. The reason is simple: it hasn't been sufficiently tested to be activated yet.
Meanwhile, the following commands will be available via the Twitch chatroom.

Hello All!
I hope this announcement finds you in good health! Can an announcement tell the difference between a healthy person and another? Can an announcement find people?
This catchphrase isn't going as planned.
OK, now to City Game Studio this time, I'm very pleased with the response to the new update.
Many of you have left reviews on Steam, and it definitely helps me tremendously by posting reviews of City Game Studio
and even my other games too for that matter
.
There were patches that brought us to v1.18.3.
Since that update, I've been collecting your comments and feedback, so I've started work on the next update.
As usual, a first version of the next update is already available on Steam's unstable branch. It contains fixes and optimizations as well as a couple of additions.
So what's in Santa's bag for v1.19.0?
We're going to rework studio management and furnishings in particular. I'm not going to be more specific on that front, but I'll keep a few surprises in store for you.
In terms of interface, I'm going to add some useful information to the studio list (bottom left), so that you'll know if a studio is unhappy or not working.
I'm thinking of adding one last point: integration with Twitch. Allowing the streamer to rename employees according to who's in the chat room. By the way, if you have any suggestions for this part, let me know in the comments, and I'll be sure to read them!
That's all for today.

Hey folks,
Today I'm pleased to announce the release of v1.18.3.
Many fixes, especially for console creation.
Well, first off, console creation could cause the game to crash. I'm very sorry about this bug, but it's now fixed.
Yet another change: creating portable consoles was easy, turning them into a profitable business was mission impossible. Because the game rated portable consoles too harshly. This part of the algorithm has been revised to make it easier for everyone to create portable consoles.
In addition, the magazine that rates your console will still display a score for the graphics part if your console has graphics capabilities, to help you better understand the rating of certain consoles, notably when there is no graphics card.
Regarding game creation, it has been pointed out to me that the number of points required in the various game creation panels should be shown at every stage of game creation.
Finally, notifications. From now on, new components will be announced twice a year. This considerably reduces the number of notifications. Furthermore, notifications will no longer be sent out when you purchase a console license, as this information is already available in the game creation panel, making the notification redundant.
That's all for today.
Enjoy the game
Xavier aka Binogure
Hello everyone! Just like every update, many of you are coming back and giving me feedback. But as with every update, I'm introducing a small bug just to see if you're keeping up. I'm sorry for Mac gamers who had the terrible experience of not being able to create multiple games - the game creation panel was all white. I had to rework all the game panels to fix the bug, which was a poorly referenced nested scene. This should now be corrected. Other bugs have been corrected concerning consoles, namely the console creation panel inverted the computing power with the graphic power. The reviews also had a little bug saying that consoles were Internet-compatible as early as 1970, amazing isn't it? The Italian translations have been improved by frankieorabona, thanks to him! Thank you for playing City Game Studio in such large numbers, and thank you for your valuable feedback. Feel free to join the discord server to make things go even faster. Have a good weekend! Hello everyone!
It's been three months since the last update.

Hello all!
Welcome back this week!
Have you seen yesterday's update?
If you haven't, check it out on steam's unstable branch:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/726840/view/7407930719721859727
Once you've tested it https://discord.binogure-studio.com]come to the discord server to give me your thoughts, because your feedback is important to me.
This week, I finished reworking the consoles, and it wasn't easy.
With the help of several Excel files, Desmos and other chart tools, I managed to make console design profitable, but not too profitable. But also that it involves risk, but not too much, and that it suits the level of difficulty. I think I've succeeded, but that remains to be seen.
Interface-wise, things have changed. When you publish your console, you have a specialized magazine that reviews your console and gives you feedback on the choice of components, and the overall quality of the console. You can now make games for your console even before it's published (I've yet to test this out to make sure it works properly).
In terms of game creation, I've added information when you choose a theme to create a game, to help you make the right choices. I've also started to lighten up the mailbox. Now, when you announce a game, there will be no notification, just the hype bar, which will adjust according to player feedback. It's more direct, easier to read, and makes for a lighter mailbox.
In the coming week, I plan to rework the way conventions are announced, to lighten the mailbox once again, and enrich the interface.
That's all for this week.
Have a good weekend
Xavier aka Binogure

Hello folks! Hoping you're all well. Last week, I worked a lot on consoles. Let me tell you about it right away.
Hello everyone, You may have noticed some changes on City Game Studio's Steam page? Well, the logo has changed, and so has the game's main presentation page. The logo is more attractive and readable, and that's what matters! Thanks to the new logo, traffic on the Steam page has increased by around 30%. Which is no mean feat. This week, there were fewer changes in the game than usual. I've resumed work on the consoles, and I'm thinking about a design that will better integrate with the game's gameplay. First, the obvious changes. The assignment of a marketing manager at the console design stage will give you an overview of your console, the genres it will work with and the audience. As soon as you start working on your console, you'll be able to send out devkits, but also start designing games for your console. You asked for it, I'm listening, and it will be possible from the next update. The major change concerns console publishing. Once it's on the market, a specialized magazine will review your console, its game catalog and give you feedback. This feedback will give you a better understanding of how to make and sell good consoles. Another important change concerns your consoles' game catalog. Until now, your direct competitors have been able to publish games on your console, but from v1.18 onwards, studios that aren't on the map will be able to publish games. This should boost your game catalog. Here's a sneak preview of the console creation page. It's not complete, and I'm still working on it. That's all for this week. Have a great weekend! Xavier aka Binogure

Hello folks, This week, I've been hard at work and I've gone further than expected on some things and I haven't been able to start on others. I'll tell you about them right away.

Hi folks!
It's been a pretty busy week. I redesigned the employee panel, to make it more intuitive and pleasing to the eye. I've also reworked certain aspects of the game.
I'll tell you about them right away.
Optimizations and fixes: This isn't just a cosmetic facelift, but a solid overhaul. The employee management panel has been overhauled, and the management of employee schedules has been corrected and optimized. As a result, the game now handles larger studios more effectively. Added to this are fixes for games of the year, cheatcodes and mini-games.
Towards infinity: For the coming week, I'll be working on producers. Currently they have a crucial place in the design of big games and AAA. Starting with v1.8, they'll make it possible to give more feedback on the game creation panel, which will make them all the more interesting.
Your support is important, necessary and appreciated. I love working on City Game Studio, and it shows, because I've been working on it for over 7 years now, and I know you appreciate that. The reviews are positive, sales are up, in short I thank you for everything
Thanks to all

Hello folks! Where on earth have I been for the past month? Due to an unforgettable change, a new recruit to the studio who arrived on December 31, 2023, I had to take paternity leave. As you can imagine, as a new father, my working hours were reduced to zero during her first month of life. Well, that's it for the explanations, now let's talk about the upcoming version of City Game Studio, v1.18.0. Among the new features on the menu is an overhaul of the consoles. Each component will have a quality attribute. Quality ratings will range from 1 star for poor quality to 5 stars for excellent quality. Component quality will influence the rate of console returns. The better the quality, the fewer the returns. You can improve the quality of components by doing research, and you'll end up with better-quality components, albeit at a slightly higher price. That's for console components. Currently, it's easy to release a console and make money with it. With the redesign, I plan to change several key elements. First of all, the number of sales, i.e. market share, will be influenced by the quality of the console, its price, the size of its catalog, but also by your community. Then there's the marketing campaign and exclusivity. You'll be able to negotiate exclusivity contracts for games published in your game catalog. By doing so, you can guarantee that high-quality games will only be available on your console, boosting public interest. As far as games published on your console are concerned. From now on, independent publishers outside the game map will be able to publish games on your console. There you have it for consoles. Turning to the specialists. First, let's talk about producers. At present, a producer increases team productivity and is needed to make AAA or big games. From v1.18.0 onwards, producers will specialize in one or more game genres (1 to 2 genres max). They will give you additional information on specific genres. In other words, not only will the gauges be more precise, but you'll also know whether the selected genre fits well with the selected console or with the selected theme. Speaking of HR. These currently allow you to manage your employees' schedules. With v1.18.0, HR will also change the look of the studio UI, allowing you to see at a glance how happy and productive a studio is. Shopping talk! Furnishing studios isn't always easy, even with automatic furnishing. That's why I'm planning to change a few things in the automatic furnishing system to make my studios more compact. I'll have to do a lot of work on the interface, but I think you'll like it. Here's what I've planned for v1.18.0 in broad outline. In addition to that, I'll be redesigning a few things, like the reviews in the magazines or the websites, to make them more useful and pretty. In the meantime, I wish you a great week. Cheers Xavier aka Binogure

Hey folks!
I am always seeking ways to enhance the overall user experience of City Game Studio. This week, I have been focusing on refining the game interface, addressing issues with tooltips and panels to ensure they do not overlap or go off screen. These changes will make it easier for players to navigate and interact with the various elements within the game.
Next week, my primary focus will be on implementing confirmation popups throughout City Game Studio. The popup design will be redone to create a more visually appealing experience, while also adding confirmations in strategic locations where they would be most beneficial. For example, when cancelling a game or signing a contract with a console manufacturer.
In addition to these improvements, I still have several minor issues to address. However, we will discuss those details during the next devlog update. My commitment to providing an engaging and seamless gaming experience remains unwavering, and I look forward to sharing these updates with you all.

Hello folks!
I, a dedicated solo indie developer, am always striving to improve City Game Studio. Over the past week, I have been working tirelessly on enhancing both the employee panel and the studio panel, inspired by the invaluable feedback from streamers Cringer and shenryyr. Their playthroughs provided an opportunity to identify numerous QoL issues, i18n problems, and minor bugs that needed addressing.
Thanks to their thorough exploration of the game, I've been able to take comprehensive notes, ensuring that every aspect of City Game Studio receives the attention it deserves. Although Cringer and shenryyr seemed to enjoy playing the game, I recognize that their experience could have been even more optimal. It is my goal to continue refining the game until it feels polished and well-rounded before introducing new features.
By focusing on Quality of Life improvements, I am committed to elevating City Game Studio's overall gaming experience. The feedback from these streamers has given me a clear direction for the upcoming updates, which will make a significant difference in how players interact with the game.
Thank you once again to Cringer and shenryyr for their valuable input. I am eager to share the results of these improvements with all of you and continue delivering the best possible gaming experience.

P.S:
Manually written ;-)
I've just released the v1.16.1 update, and it's packed with useful new features to enhance your gaming studio management experience. Firstly, I've added a confirmation popup when you attempt to delete a game engine. This feature ensures that accidental deletions are a thing of the past, safeguarding the hard work and creativity that goes into building each engine.
Additionally, we've addressed an issue with the genre-tree panel's visibility on low screen resolutions. With this fix in place, you can now enjoy seamless navigation and better organization, even when working with smaller screens.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we continue to refine and improve your gaming studio management journey!

This week, the journey through City Game Studio was marked by a focus on refinement and balance. In the realm of the Steam Deck, I delved into the intricacies, ensuring even the smallest details didn't go unnoticed. Employee and studio renaming processes were streamlined, enhancing the overall experience. Additionally, addressing the first-time launch scenario, the game now starts fullscreen, immersing you from the very beginning.
In the user interface realm, readability was prioritized, especially for in-game tutorials at lower resolutions. To offer players clear insights, tooltips were revamped, specifically addressing scenarios like overloaded servers during online game sales.
The very essence of City Game Studio, its logo, underwent a thoughtful redesign, capturing the essence of our creative venture.
Balancing was a key focus. Losing fans is a part of the game, but now, it happens in a way that feels fair. The convention scoring system received a much-needed update, ensuring accurate reflections of your studio's impact.
Steam's review came with valuable feedback. Although not yet Steam Deck compatible, I've meticulously tackled every issue pointed out, ensuring City Game Studio is primed for the next evaluation. This process, while challenging, reinforces the commitment to delivering the best gaming experience.
Thank you for your unwavering support; it drives every adjustment, every tweak. Together, we're not just playing a game; we're crafting an immersive world. Stay tuned for more updates, and let's continue this amazing journey together!

I've just rolled out an exciting bugfix for City Game Studio that's sure to make your gaming experience even better. I know how crucial it is to keep your game world running smoothly, and this update is all about that!
Hello,
I'm excited to announce a fresh patch for City Game Studio!
In this update, I've tackled a couple of pesky bugs that were causing some headaches.
Firstly, there was a bit of a hiccup when demolishing an existing studio and then attempting to build something new in its place. It wasn't quite cooperating as it should have. But fear not, that issue has been swiftly resolved, and you can now remodel and rebuild to your heart's content!
Secondly, I fixed a small hiccup in the game's history panel. When creating a sequel to a game, the sequel's name wasn't being generated correctly. But now, you can seamlessly continue your gaming legacy with properly generated sequel names!
I'm always striving to make City Game Studio the best it can be, and your feedback is incredibly valuable in achieving that goal.
Thank you for your support and patience as I continue to work on making City Game Studio even better.
Happy gaming, and stay tuned for more exciting updates!
Best regards,
Xavier aka Binogure

Hey everyone,
This week has been incredibly productive as I dive into the upcoming v1.15.0 update for City Game Studio. Listening to your invaluable feedback, I've focused on enhancing the in-dev game panel interface, making it even more intuitive. Plus, you'll now find console generation details in the tooltips.
One exciting feature is the acquisition of competitor studios, but there's a twist the staff you acquire will now be seamlessly integrated into their original studios, ensuring a smoother transition and more realistic gameplay.
In the upcoming week, I'm set to address a pesky bug where the competition can access your unfinished game engines, even though that's not fair play. Plus, I'll be working on a brand-new feature: studio demolition. Now you can buy a studio and reshape the gaming landscape by demolishing it.
Thanks for your continuous support, and I'm thrilled to bring these updates to life. Keep the fantastic suggestions coming, and let's keep making City Game Studio better together.

Hey there, fellow game enthusiasts! I'm thrilled to announce the arrival of the much-anticipated v1.14.0 update for City Game Studio! As a one-person team, I've poured my heart and soul into this update, and I can't wait to share all the incredible improvements and new features with you.
Let's dive right in! With the new Game Engine feature, you can now easily assign and unassign studios while developing a game. It's a game-changer, making your development process smoother and more flexible.
But that's not all! The User Interface has undergone a major overhaul, resulting in a cleaner and more polished look. Starting a new game has never been easier, and you'll love the option to use your Steam avatar as your company logo talk about personalization!
I've also made sure that the game adapts to various resolutions, making fonts bigger on lower resolution settings for improved readability. Your gaming experience will be top-notch, no matter your screen size!
Under the hood, I've optimized the game's loading time, meaning you'll get into City Game Studio faster than ever before. It now loads fewer dependencies when starting up, giving you more time to dive into the gameplay.
Speaking of mods, I've dedicated considerable effort to reworking the Mod panel. With the new "Explore Mods" button in the in-game overlay, you'll have quick access to a treasure trove of mods, enhancing your gameplay experience even further. Plus, mods are now activated by default when starting a new game, so you won't miss out on any exciting content.
To ensure seamless mod integration, the game now checks for disabled mods during loading and kindly warns players if any are found. Your gaming journey is smoother and more enjoyable than ever before.
And of course, this update wouldn't be complete without fixing pesky bugs! I've tackled issues with Leaderboards not scrolling or recognizing players, and I've ironed out mod loader bugs to make sure all mods work like a charm. Say goodbye to crashes while loading mods when Steam is offline or the workshop is unavailable!
As part of our commitment to localization, we've improved the Russian translations, thanks to the invaluable help of SyberiaK.
Thank you for your continuous support, and I hope you enjoy exploring all the exciting changes in v1.14.0 of City Game Studio. Together, we'll build the gaming empire of our dreams!
Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, happy gaming!

Dear City Game Studio players,
I'm thrilled to announce the release of version 1.13.0 of City Game Studio, a highly anticipated update that brings numerous improvements and exciting additions to your video game studio management experience. As an independent developer, I've strived to create an even more immersive and rewarding gameplay experience. Here's an overview of the new features you'll find in this version:
Hello everyone!
It's time for another weekly devlog, where I share the progress made in City Game Studio. I hope you all had a great week! Let's dive into what's new in the game.
First, I want to highlight a significant improvement: the bug reporting feature. Your bug reports now provide me with more detailed information, allowing me to reproduce and address issues more effectively. Thank you for helping us make City Game Studio even better!
In addition to this, I focused on bug fixing this week as we prepare for the upcoming update. Several bugs have been squashed, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. Specifically, I found three bugs related to the dark interface theme, where some text elements were not visible or difficult to read. Rest assured, these issues have been resolved.
Managing exclusivity contracts for custom consoles was a bit complicated before, but not anymore! You can now customize the contract duration and the quantity of devkits sent to competitors. This flexibility gives you more control over your game releases.
As we approach the release of the update, I also took the time to address other minor issues, such as translation problems with Steam achievements.
I want to express my gratitude to all of you for your continued support and feedback. It truly helps in shaping the game and making it the best it can be. Remember to keep an eye out for the upcoming update, as it brings exciting new features and improvements!
Thank you all for being a part of this journey. Now, go and enjoy playing City Game Studio!
Warm regards,
Xavier aka Binogure
Hello everyone!
It's Saturday, which means it's time for me to talk about the progress made this week on my game development studio management game. I'm happy to announce that the beta update on Steam is ready, with lots of improvements and bug fixes.
Let's start with the bugs: I've fixed several issues in the game, including a bug on a button that wasn't clickable at all times, as well as another bug that affected the human resources list, where some employees were not listed. I've also fixed a bug that allowed players to continue playing even after cracking a competitor's game and losing. There was also a bug in the game engine feature that has been fixed. Now, the button that allows you to view engine features during game creation is disabled when you don't have an engine.
As for new features, I've added better customization for hair and beards for characters, which will make your game studio characters even more unique and memorable. I've also added doors to studios, or elevators if they are large studios. This adds a small touch of realism and detail that will make your studio even more immersive.
Since the update is coming soon, I mainly worked on fixing bugs, but I hope you'll also enjoy the new features. Don't forget to play the Steam beta to take advantage of all these improvements and feel free to give me your feedback and suggestions.
Thank you for your continued support and see you next week for a new devlog!
Best regards,
Xavier aka Binogure
Hello everyone,
It's me again, Xavier aka Binogure, with another weekly devlog to keep you informed of the progress of my game. This week has been productive, and I've added some important features.
Firstly, I've added a new building to the game. Before, the studios seemed to be floating in the void, but now they have a visual context surrounding them. This new building was designed to be realistic and offer a sense of immersion in the game environment.
Additionally, I've also added a feature that allows players to check the engine features that will be available during the upcoming stages of game creation. This feature will help players better plan the creation of their game and make the most of the console capabilities. It will also help to better understand how the game works and how it can be optimized to offer a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience.
These features have been added to the beta branch of Steam, which means they are available for all players who want to try the game. Don't hesitate to give us your feedback, suggestions, and remarks on these new features.
Thank you for taking the time to read my weekly devlog. I invite you all to play the game and share your impressions with me. See you next week for more updates and new features!
Sincerely,
Xavier aka Binogure
Hey everyone!
Hope you're all doing well! I've been working hard this week on some new features for City Game Studio. I've completely overhauled the server management interface to make it more user-friendly and added some cool new graphics.
I've also added three new achievements for you to unlock. These ones are a bit more challenging, though! You'll need to reach one million users on your digital store, publish a AAA game in the 90s, and create your own game console before the end of the 90s. Good luck!
And for all you fashionistas out there, I've added some new hairstyles and facial hair options, including the classic bald look.
Oh, and speaking of improvements, I've also fixed the confusing button descriptions that were causing some issues. Now you'll know exactly what you need to do to unlock each button.
Finally, I want to thank you all for your help in finding influencers for City Game Studio. I've reached out to all of them and I'm hoping it will give us some more visibility in the coming days and weeks.
That's all for now! Have a great weekend and keep on gaming!
Cheers,
Xavier aka Binogure
Hello folks,
I am excited to announce that a new update has just been released to address a significant issue that some of you may have encountered. You may have noticed that the game would automatically pause without reason, making it frustrating and impossible to resume without restarting the game. I am pleased to inform you that this issue has been resolved with this update.
I would like to thank you for your patience and ongoing support. I understand that this bug may have ruined some of your gaming experience, but thanks to your feedback and loyalty, I was able to quickly identify and fix this issue. Your support is highly valued and I am grateful for your help in making City Game Studio even better.
I would also like to let you know that the next update is planned for June 2023. I am excited to introduce you to the new features and improvements that I have planned for you. In the meantime, keep playing and providing me with your feedback, as I am always listening to you.
Once again, thank you for your support and see you soon in the game!
Hello folks!
It's been another great week. I've made a lot of progress on City Game Studio.
I'm happy to tell you that character customization for the game is finished.
The game lets you customize your character, but also your employees. You can make your teams adopt a dress code. Exciting, isn't it?
I'm planning to add m
ore items, beards, mustaches, but also boots, earrings... That's all for June, I think.
Not only that, but I finally got around to adding the happiness of buildings. You see, in City Game Studio, there is the city, and it's important to know where a building is located. You should know that the location of your studio in the city is going to impact directly on the happiness of the employees. For example, an office located next to a pizza shop, and a movie theater nearby is more attractive than a studio with nothing around.
You also reported some bugs too. Some of them are visual, which I've already fixed, and another one is more annoying and affects the creation of games for your consoles. I'm still working on that one, and a fix is coming at the same time as v1.13.0.
Meanwhile, I'm still updating the City Game Studio interface, and I like it!
The v1.13.0 should be released in June, because I'm trying to make a good marketing campaign. I'm reaching out to as many influencers as possible on various platforms to try out City Game Studio. Any help is welcomed, if you like a youtuber, streamer and you think he/she will enjoy playing City Game Studio, feel free to contact me via discord with his/her information (youtube/twitch channel, country...).
That's all for this week.
Have a nice weekend,
Xavier aka Binogure
Howdy, folks,
It's been almost two weeks since the last update.
The v1.12.0 is a great success, comments are extremely positive, and it's heartwarming.
It makes me happy to know that you are happy about the work done. It gives me the motivation to work on v1.13.0.
Let me tell you about what's coming up with the next big update.
First off, this week I had fiber optics installed in my office. When it comes to working and sending releases to Steam, it really does go faster.
Unfortunately, it took a whole day to install the fiber. In the long run, it's worth it, for sure.
As for the next big release, I've started working on the suggestions that have been made since the last release.
I've removed the ability to remake GoTY, since you can already remake the original games, there is no need to remake GoTY.
The interface that allows you to furnish the studios has been slightly revised, it should be nicer to navigate. Otherwise I started the major work, City Game Studio's characters.
The goal is to be able to add accessories to your character. Earrings, beard, mustache, customize hair color, change the color of your clothes ... Well, I'm making good progress at the moment. And I think I'll have something playable in next week. But I still have to manage migrations to make old savegames compatible.
While making these changes, I took the time to optimize how many images the game loads to render the characters.
That's it for this week, you already have a taste of what's to come for next week, so I'll leave you there.
See you next Saturday,
Xavier aka Binogure
Hello folks,
Today is the big day! The huge update is available. It took a little more than a month of hard work to bring you a much more polished game. The changelog is huge, so I'm not going to waste time and tell you about the biggest changes in this version.
Hello everyone! The next update is almost ready. I will take another week to test and update the Steam page. But v1.12.0 should be out soon. And that's great, because this update is huge! Before going further, I'd like to tell you about what I've been working on this week! The interface of the game has greatly evolved. I'm pretty happy with the result, and I think I can say with some confidence that the interface of the next version will be final. Frankly, I think you'll really like this new version, with all the visual changes that come with it. I could talk more about it, but I'd rather save a little bit for the next update announcement. The v1.12.0 will be released on Thursday April 6th. In the meantime, if you want, you can already test this new version by switching to the unstable branch of Steam. Thank you for reading. I wish you a great weekend. Xavier aka Binogure
Hello folks,
It's already the end of the week, and I've been working hard on the interface of City Game Studio all week.
It's also the end of the spring sale, I hope you took advantage of it, because as announced before I set the price of City Game Studio in different currencies. Don't worry, price remains the same in Euros/USD.
Let's talk about the upcoming changes. The assignment of specialists. Originally done quickly in 2019, this panel had hardly been reworked since.
Therefore, I've added some useful information and especially a more compact and condensed view. Before, you used to be able to see at most 3 specialists when the panel was open.
Now you can see a dozen, and only useful information is displayed. Colors have been added so that you can see at a glance who is available, who is busy and who is already assigned to the current task. In short, it's all good!
I also improved another part of the interface. It's the panel that lists the offices that are available for rent or purchase.
The original panel was done in 2017, and it was one of the first interfaces I had created. It was functional and got the job done. But today, I felt like improving it to make it more efficient. Several filters are available, one to filter by price, and another to filter by office surface. In addition, there are sorting by surface or by price. Once again, I want your game experience on City Game Studio to be smooth, and that the next version will blow you away!
Working on the interfaces takes time, and redoing these two panels took me the whole week.
So that's all for this week and we'll see you next Saturday.
Have a good weekend,
Xavier aka Binogure

Hello everyone !
Just before talking about the update, I want to tell you about the Binogure Studio bundle which is on special offer right now!
A 42% discount applies on this bundle, take advantage of it while it's available!
How nice is this weekend? Nice weather, hopefully not too hot!
Great news for you, I made a lot of progress this week!
I'm telling you about it, as I do every Saturday of course.
Last week, I did not publish a version on the unstable branch of Steam. In fact, I couldn't do it all in one week.
So I'm happy to announce that the unstable branch of Steam has been updated yesterday. For those who are curious, here are the changes in this new version of City Game Studio.
Firstly, the major change. It is possible to create games by combining 2 game genres. So you can make Simulation/Space games, or even Action/Simulation games.
There are some limitations though. Some game genres cannot be combined. As you know in City Game Studio, there are genres like Action/RPG that exist without being a combination of genres. Well, these genres are not combinable. However, you can combine the Action genre with the RPG genre to make an Action/RPG game in your own way, that is possible.
I had to rework a lot of aspects of City Game Studio for this feature. So I took the opportunity to improve certain algorithms to make the game experience more pleasant.
Many players have told me that the interface of v1.11.0 is much more appealing to the eye. However, some aspects could clash with the rest of the game. That's why I continue to work on the interface of City Game Studio.
It's not over yet!
Well, for today, it's over, but we'll meet again next Saturday for the rest of the v1.12.0 progress.
Meanwhile, I wish you a great weekend.
Xavier aka Binogure
Hi everyone!
Quick announcement to tell you about an immediate 35% discount in store from City Game Studio!
Enjoy it, especially since there are updates coming soon!
When you pick up Sneak In, you'll get an extra 10% off the pack. It's now or later!
Thanks for your support !

Hi folks, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend like I am! I went on a weekend off to relax a bit and recharge my batteries. I have been working a lot and it's not going to stop so a relaxing weekend off will be healthy for me. During this week, I worked on one thing and one thing only. Making a game with two genres and one theme. This is a huge feature, because it covers almost all aspects of City Game Studio. Starting with game creation, of course, but also game ports, remakes, games of the year, contracts, updates, DLCs... Since it involves so many aspects of City Game Studio, it involves more work up front, thinking about how to do things so that it works well both in terms of the code, but also in terms of the interface. Currently, when you create a game, there is only one genre, and therefore only one texture to display. Being able to combine genres means that there are two textures to be displayed where there was only one originally, so it affects almost every interface in City Game Studio. But it doesn't stop at aesthetics. Data also needs to be revised, where a simple game_genre field was enough, now it becomes an array. That's more things to change in the code so that everything connects well. Besides all this, I want to make the old saves compatible with the new version of the game. I don't want the game to support two save formats, it would hurt the frame rate. Instead, I prefer writing a migration script to convert your savegame to make it compatible with the new version of the game. As you can see, only one feature, but it's a big job. I hope to finish all this next week to tell you more about it. Until then, have a great weekend. Xavier aka Binogure
Hello folks,
A beautiful week has just gone by! With spring just around the corner, I'm locked in my windowless office working on City Game Studio!
It's amazing how productive you can be once you cut out all the distractions a window from the real world can offer.
In any case, there are a lot of new things for City Game Studio.
Hi everyone!
V1.11.0 has been released since a few days and feedbacks are very positive!
I would like to thank you for leaving reviews on City Game Studio.
It really impacts the visibility of the game, and inevitably its popularity.
Thanks a lot for supporting the project!
And guess what, v1.12.0 is on track. It's a continuation of v1.11.0.
All the game genre icons have been revised. I shared the first impressions on the discord server of the studio, and the feedbacks are once again very positive!
Many of you like these changes, and if you also want to get updates about City Game Studio, feel free to join the Discord!
I also fixed some bugs, purely visual, nothing that would affect the gameplay of City Game Studio be reassured.
Otherwise, mengueule, a long time player, contributed again in improving the translations of the game, thanks to him for his work!
Next week, I will continue to work on the icons of City Game Studio, plus I will start working on a feature that you will enjoy.
I'm doing everything I can to keep this feature a secret from Steam news readers, but I don't think I can hold back on sharing my progress on the Discord server.
Quite honestly, this feature was not planned for v1.12.0 at all, but I think it will clearly improve your gaming experience.
I would like to point out that this is not multiplayer, the game was not designed for multiplayer. I'm saving this feature for my next games.
I stop here for today, thank you all for your support.
Kisses !
Xavier AKA Binogure
P. S :
The cake was a lie
Hello everyone!
Well, here we are! Exactly, the biggest update of City Game Studio. What to say about this update? Honestly I thought about upgrading to version 2.0, that's how big this version is!
Behind this update there is a lot of sweat, tears and even BLOOD. There are so MANY changes that it's going to be hard to detail everything here, but I'm going to do it anyway!
Let's go for the presentation of the v1.11.0
Hi everyone!
Well, are you waiting for something? Just kidding, I've been working hard this week too with adding details to the game like wearing glasses. So yeah, that's pretty useless, but it's done. Maybe later I'll add the option to wear a mustache or to customize your character more. I'm not sure that's super important for a management game like City Game Studio, so you tell me.
Otherwise, this week, I fixed a major bug that made City Game Studio crash. Also, it's the stabilization of the unstable version, I corrected about ten minor bugs this week. In other words, I'm giving you an update with little details if you know what I mean.
Preparations for the anniversary update of City Game Studio, which is going to celebrate its 4 years already, are going very well, we're in time. Come on Tuesday, there will be a lot of cake!
See you on Tuesday,
Have a good weekend to all
Xavier aka Binogure
Hello all, I hope you are all well,
I hope you are in good shape because this week I have been busy.
On menu:
Hello folks,
As usual on saturday, I'm going to tell you about the latest developments of City Game Studio!
Like last week I made a lot of work on optimization but also on the interface.
Hello folks,
I do hope you like these posts! I intend to write one post a week to update you on the progress of City Game Studio!
Last week I worked hard to optimize City Game Studio, fix bugs and enhance the interface!
Hello everyone!
Once in a while, I like doing a post to share the content of the upcoming version.
Well, I've been working on it for about 6 months already, let's imagine how big the update will be! Think even bigger!
Hey folks!
As usual, I'm still working on City Game Studio! The next update will carry more in-game events drawn by your fans! I hope you are as excited as I'm!
Since I'm late to release v1.11.0, here's a compensation sale: 40% off!
It's time to get City Game Studio while it's discounted!
Enjoy your holidays.
Cheers
Binogure
Hello everyone, It's been a while since I last updated City Game Studio. And yet there are still a lot of things in the backlog. I've merely been busy with other upcoming projects. As you can see, City Game Studio still has some nice updates to come and I'm going to tell you about what's changing with today's version. When do we take a game off the market? That' s a real question, we debated it on the discord server, and we concluded that after 6 months of revenues below $1000 is the best condition to remove a game from the market. This update, although a simple patch of v1.10.1, stabilizes the game and fixes bugs that were introduced by v1.10.0. City Game Studio has never been so stable or so available! Thanks to olsza, City Game Studio is now available in Polish. He did an incredible job translating it, in just a few days! Thank you for this! Wondering when v1.11.0 is coming? Well, I'm already working on it, and I'll do everything to make it available by the winter vacations. On the agenda, simplified notifications and improved in-game events. I'm trying to make City Game Studio even richer and more moddable. That's all for today, it's time to launch City Game Studio to taste all these changes! Binogure
Hello everyone! A warm welcome to this v1.10.0 update! Do you remember a year ago (already), City Game Studio left early access, I felt that the game was already complete! But that' s without counting on your suggestions. Many of you have joined the studio's discord server. Thus we discuss about the game, but also about the mods you make, the next updates, bugs, we share a lot. Anyway, I invite you to join us! Without further ado, let's talk about this update!
Howdy to you all! I am very happy to present you the BIG Update. City Game Studio has been released on another online platform, so I have dedicated 100% of my time to City Game Studio just to provide you with an even more complete game!
Hello! So I' m preparing a major update for City Game Studio. It is going to somehow link City Game Studio with Sneak In, which is another game that is also discounted right now. In the upcoming update, there is going to be a lot more furniture, like foosball tables, televisions, arcades... Some furniture will look like Sneak In and even City Game Studio. It is only about the aspect of the furniture to come, but the stats of the items will remain the same regardless of their design, whether it is Sneak In or City Game Studio. As I said earlier, this is a cross promotion, meaning that you will have more skins for City Game Studio items when you also own Sneak In. There are other changes to come. I'll talk about them when the update itself is announced. Cheers
Hello gamers!
It's Friday and I hope you're having a good day. It's already one week after the last big update v1.8.0, and it is nearly a habit to release an update one week after a big one.
Therefore we jump straight to this 1.8.2. But, where is the 1.8.1? Don't worry, I'll cover all the changes since v1.8.0.
First of all some additions to the negotiation with the console manufacturers. Negotiating with Grantendo can leave a bitter taste. Would you feel more comfortable if you had an ongoing relationship with the console manufacturers? There is now an indicator that lets you know your relationship with the console manufacturers. It goes from friendly to unfriendly as well as neutral.
The more you work with a console manufacturer, the easier it will be to negotiate with them. And the opposite is also true.
It was most important part of this update. However, alongside this update there are new tooltips for the marketing campaign management panel, to help you understand how it works.
Otherwise, it's mostly patches that improve the stability of the game and allow you to play for long sessions without crashing.
That's it for today, we'll see you soon for new content.
Kisses to all.
Binogure
Hello tycooners! I hope you've been enjoying the dark mod update I pushed back in March. I know you're eagger for more City Game Studio content, which is why today should be particular interest to you as I officially launch the v1.8.0.
Hey fellow gamers! I'm still working on my new game, but I won't be able to tell you more at the moment. Let's go back to City Game Studio. This patch is tiny and only contains fixes. I watched you guys playing on Youtube/Twich that's how I found out those bugs and then fixed them! Have a nice day Thank yo ufor playing City Game Studio xoxo
Hey everyone, Good news! City Game Studio will be taking part in the SimFest: Hobby Edition 2022. So I spent an afternoon playing City Game Studio to produce a high quality silent playthrough to let you discover what's in the game! It is not a 100% feature coverage but you'll get a nice preview! Join our discord for more informations Cheers, Binogure https://store.steampowered.com/app/726840/City_Game_Studio_a_tycoon_about_game_dev/
Hello to all,
I spent a few days to prepare this post to present you the most complete mods. The community around City Game Studio is effervescent and continues to produce quality content. There are more and more mods available, so there is something for everyone!
Hey folks, Just a month after the last update and here we are again, with another one. It's not as big as the last one, but it's big enough!
Hello folks,
Quick update to fix an annoying bug of the Interface. There were duplicates in the unlock bar, and it was cycling infinitely.
Sorry for that annoying bug, and thank you for reporting it! It really helps!
Have a nice day,
Binogure
Good evening to all! Three years ago, City Game Studio was released in early access on Steam. A tremendous number of changes were made in this period of time. There have been a few redesigns of the game, Steam reviews have gone from Variable to Very Positive, and who knows, we could reach 1000 reviews!
Hey,
Another tiny update, it becomes regular now. Just adding a new feedback when you work with a competitor to make a game. As soon as you know you'll have to pay a penalty, if you don't have enough money, the game will warn you and suggest you to take out a mortgage.
I think it is better than going bankrupt.
This update contains also a tiny bugfix regarding custom platforms.
I also improved the chart rendering and added 4 new competitors such as:
ZeniMin, Rito Games, GreenByte and Warner Sis.
Have a nice day
xoxo
Binogure
Hey,
it's been a while since the last update right?
Here comes another weekly update for City Game Studio.
What's new?
New tooltips for game engines, trade publishing offers and game editions.
A bit of balancing for custom platform, the new maximum price is set to 1 500$, and you can get a CPU online compatible as soon as 1996, which is better than before (ie 1998).
Thanks to your feedback I also fixed an issue with font rendering.
Wish you a pleasant week,
See you next month (maybe).
xoxo
Binogure
Hey guys,
That's already the second update of City Game Studio of 2022.
I like working on this game. And I hope you'll like that update.
It adds several tooltips to explain how the game works (ie royalties, and server capacities).
Also, if you started a game with 12 competitors, the game will try to spawn new competitors to keep the same number of competitors on the map. I suggest you to use mods to add new competitors:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2585504232
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2661428590
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2279919656
I added several tooltips to the game. You'll notice them by playing it!
Have a nice day
xoxo
Binogure
Happy new year guys!
Wish you the best for 2022.
Let's talk about that new update. I've been working on improving the Game Of The Year selection panel to help you out selecting the right game.
Beside those changes, I also added a new tooltip when you create a video game console, to explain what to do while you are creating it. Also custom platforms have been re-balanced a little bit. Your consoles won't get affected by the 1983 crash, but in the CEO difficulty. This parameter is moddable, so modders can customize this setting.
CGS uses larger fonts for tooltips on lower resolutions. On low-end hardware, game creation panel might blink, it shouldn't blink anymore.
Thanks to Menguele, pt-br translations have been improved.
And, that's all for today,
Hope you'll like this tiny update
Have a nice year
xoxo
Binogure
Hey folks,
I think it is the last update of 2021, it is a really small one that includes only one new feature which is a new tooltip that explains how to make a free to play game
Beside that change, I also fixed an issue were the game freezes after few months. And I reworked a little bit the sales algorithm to fix that specific issue
Happy new year folks
xoxo
Binogure
Happy holidays folks!
So, I read your feedbacks on Steam and decided to work on the interface for a while in order to improve your experience.
Amongst other enhancement, when you create a new console, knowing if a CPU is online capable is now more clear. There is a big red cross on the online CPU capacities.
Also, porting a game onto another platform might be tricky. And the compatibility bar was not visible enough, so I changed it's color, it turns red when it is not compatible, yellow when it is an OK match, and blue when you'd better port it to that platform
Regarding remakes and required points. A new tooltip helps you understand how it works behind the scene.
I'll keep reading your feedbacks on discord, github and steam reviews to improve City Game Studio.
Have fun guys
xoxo
Binogure
Hello everyone! Big updates come in small packages. And this is the case of v1.5.0, which was originally supposed to be an update with minor changes. Well, after a few weeks of work, this update has enriched the content of City Game Stsudio with several consoles, several competitors, more components to make your consoles and a lot of features for the game engines.
Welcome to everyone! I am writing this new announcement with great pleasure and some relief! Indeed, this is v1.4.0, one of the last updates of City Game Studio. After over 4 years of development, it is now time to start thinking about a new venture. First let's see what I have in store for you!
Hi, I would like to thank all of you who have played City Game Studio lately. Indeed, many of you contributed to improve the game and gave me a lot of ideas. After 4 weeks, v1.3.0 is now available, with a lot of improvements. Without further ado, let's talk about it.
Hello folks! Based on your suggestions, version 1.2.0 contains a lot of unexpected changes. One of them is the ability for competitors to pop up mid-game, thus enhancing the gameplay experience. There are also other minor changes, such as zooming in on the studio or the city map or the email notification animations. I'll keep it short, and talk about the most important changes
Hello fellow gamers! It's been a whole week since City Game Studio left Early Access, and it is already the 3 update. I want you to have the best gaming experience so I will keep working on the game as long as I get constructive feedbacks from Discord, Steam and Github.
Hello, I can not say it enough, many thanks for being here, for playing City Game Studio, I thought we would not reach more than 200 players when I write the first line of code. Yet today you are tens of thousands and it touches my heart. You are so many to give me feedbacks and suggestions to improve City Game Studio. So I do my best to offer you the best game experience. You probably noticed a lot of mini updates during this week, so let's talk about them in detail. Spam emails have been revised, and a tooltip added to explain how to mark an email as spam. I believe this is long overdue. When you start a new game, the game selects the easiest difficulty and leaves you free to take any difficulty. I was short sighted because if it's your first game, it's better to play on easy, then the higher difficulties become unlockable once you finish the game. Also, the number of points required to complete a game is now indicated at the conception stage with a tooltip that explains how it is calculated. For games that have already been released, the number of updates is now indicated as well as the date of the last update. Console marketing panel has been redesigned to allow you to fine-tune marketing campaigns with a single click. I will continue to work on City Game Studio to deliver the best possible gaming experience. I wish you a great weekend Best wishes Xavier aka Binogure
Hi everyone! A special thanks because so many of you have bought City Game Studio. Your enthusiasm warms my heart! Thus, I'm going through all the reviews, streams and youtube videos to find the bugs and other possible improvements! Firstly, it's a minor update that adds flags on the main menu for the supported languages of the game. The button was not clearly visible and by adding these few images the problem should be solved. Another minor bug that greatly unbalances the game. Publishing a game sequel was greatly detrimental to the quality of the game produced and could turn your game into a disaster. Please rest assured that this bug is fixed and I'm sorry I didn't see it before. Among other things, wage increases have been fixed, as you may have noticed. Also Competitors can now buy each other out, and also get more studio, previously a bug was blocking this from happening. One last annoying glitch, the information tooltip that tells you how to place items in a studio disappears correctly. Very sorry for that. Thanks again for the warm welcome you gave to City Game Studio, I wish you a great evening, Xavier aka Binogure
Hello everyone! In 2017, City Game Studio marked the beginning of my first adventure as an independent developer. Released in 2019, after approximately 2 years of development, several playtests, a closed alpha and many hours of work, it was a worldwide success... actually a complete success for me who had just launched my first game on Steam. And you all were amazing. So many of you have supported me, clearly it helped me to continue the development until now. Quite honestly it's been hard to keep working on the same project for so many years, 4 years altogether. Initially, City Game Studio's development was supposed to end in 2020, so after 3 years of development it should have left the early access. However, an unexpected intervention from one of the pillars of the French Twitch game community came up. As a result of this much welcomed event, sales went up and the community grew spontaneously, this resulted in a significant positive effect on City Game Studio. I would like to thank Domingo and the team that works with him. This happened a year ago, and today I'm proud (relieved too?!) to announce that City Game Studio is finally fully released! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcRDBdvtuVQ
What is coming now?
v1.1.1 is already in the pipeline, and I hope to continue working on City Game Studio until the TODO list is empty. It should take me a few more months.
Alright, so what happens next?
Honestly I wish I could tell that I will publish another game, or that I will continue to work on City Game Studio, or that there will be free DLC, but at this point I don't know.
And then?
I don't know how to project myself for more than 6 months, but I can tell you that I'm not done making games and that the next one might surprise you (and please you it would be nice anyway). Thanks for reading and for being there, I wish you a great day Binogure
Hello everyone! I hope you are as excited as I'm to see the release of City Game Studio just around the corner. So without further ado I bring you the most recent features that come with the v1.1!
Hey all!
I wish you all the best for this beautiful 2021 summer. As for me, I'm working on delivering the greatest version of City Game Studio ever.
Having said that, let's move on the big news: City Game Studio will launch on August 24th 2021. To celebrate the occasion I teamed up with Conciliator on a new trailer ('`)/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcRDBdvtuVQ
I was amazed and delighted to see so many players of City Game Studio 1.0. Recall in February 2019, the first-ever version was barely available and already I posted updates with new content. Coming soon City Game Studio will be out of early access, I will keep on releasing updates to add new stuff.
Finally, the City Game Studio version 1.1 is almost ready and you can taste it already by switching to the unstable Steam branch. For that open the Steam library, right click on City Game Studio, select Properties then Betas and finally select Unstable.
That's all for today, we'll see you soon for new content.

Hello folks! Yesterday I released the v1.0, and today already the v1.0.1, which contains only bugfixes!
Hello everyone! This is it, we're in business. City Game Studio is moving to version 1. For you who are just discovering City Game Studio you need to know that the journey began on 2019 when v0.12.0 was launched on Feb 21st. Since then, City Game Studio has been showcased at prestigious events such as Montreal ComicCon 2019 and DreamHack 2019. All of this happened thanks to the Gameplay Space which helped me organizing playtest sessions, attending many conferences and other social events. All those events made it possible for City Game Studio to reach maturity and indirectly to release version 1. But before speaking about the future of the game, first let's have a look at the content of this update.
Hey, Another really small update for the default version of City Game Studio. This time it is a fresh build of City Game Studio without any delta build. It leads to a faster and a more stable verson.
Hello fellow gamers,
Long time no see! I'm busy working on the very next update which is going to be the v1.0, it'll include a lot of cool stuff. Such as marketing campaigns and mod support for custom platforms, new Steam achievements, a better UI...
However I published a minor update for the v0.34.1 because City Game Studio is a bit too hard. So I took a whole day to balance the gmae. Meanwhile, I fixed an audio bug for Linux. If your sound is crackling please you can adjust the -output_latency to 50 by setting a launch option. If it doesn't work you can also try to adjust the -mixer_latency
That's all folks!
Regards
Binogure
Hey folks, I've been busy reading your feedbacks and working on the very next update. However, I also receive few bug reports, so this update is about fixing them all while improving a bit of the UI (it is a very light update).
Hello everyone! Thank you for joining us, for purchasing and playing at City Game Studio. Thanks because it's been two years now since I can work full time on City Game Studio, thanks because it's been two years since many of you have been coming to play and sharing your ideas and suggestions. I'm not going to go through all the features that have been added over the last two years, you probably already know them. However, I'm going to tell you about the many new features that come with v0.34.0.
Hello, You were expecting v0.32.4 and not v0.33.0. Well I am sorry if I disappointed you but this update is way to big so I had to call it v0.33.0!
Hello fellow gamers, Yesterday the better mod support version has been released, and I can tell events needed a better validation. With the v0.32.2, some of the mods won't load anymore because of the validation.
Hey folks! I hope everything is alright! You know how 2020 is already, so I'm bringing some good news.
Hello everyone! I'm glad to see you for this new update, which I hope you'll like as much as I do! There is a lot of content, and good content, let's have a look at it together!
Hello folks, Since I haven't published anything for about a month now, I though it would be great to give you an update about the Mod Support! I'm really excited about it! So let's talk about the technical challenges implied by this feature!

So far City Game Studio can create, update, delete, validate and download mods.
Since I'm a solo developer I went deeper and I added a Mod API version to City Game Studio. The version number is automatically added when you create a new Mod. In case a mod uses an older version of the Mod API, it will be automatically disabled to avoid data corruption or crashes.
It means that City Game Studio downloads/validates a mod when you create/update one, but also when ou enable one. I think it is more convenient that way, because you won't have to deal with mods compatibility.
Hello folks! I've been busy working on the next update, which is the workshop support. Meanwhile you reported few bugs. Oh yes you are great, and Im lucky to have such a loving community! As a reward, here is a version that fix all the bugs (don't break a man's dream). The support, is coming along nicely, bug it requires more work. I need time to design it properly then to implement and to test it. I'm gonna post updates on twitter and discord as usual. Cheers Binogure
Hello folks, For this version I focused on stabilizing City Game Studio, while adding some pretty cool features.
Hello folks, Here comes the v0.31.3, and I think you are going to like it.
Hello folks,
I've been working on the v0.31.2 for few days now, and it is time to release it.
So what's new in this minor version?
You can now offer money to unlock a platform! And a lot of money, so watch out before offering 10m to unlock a platform!
You can also delete old game engines and there few QOL improvements.
Im gonna keep working on the v0.31.3, so manufacturers will offer you exclusivity for your best games.
Anyway, if you want to know all the changes, you can either read the Changelog or just launch City Game Studio and start playing.
Cheers

Hello, Thank you for the support you give me, it is frankly encouraging. I'm going to continue working on City Game Studio, and improve the negotiation interface in the coming days to make it a little more attractive. Meanwhile, this is a minor version, there are no big changes to present, if you want to know what's new, you can either launch the game or check out changelog. I hope you like it, feel free to join our discord server to talk about it with us! Have a nice day and a good game Binogure
Hello world! 4 months have passed since the last update, and I apologize for the delay. Usually I publish one major update per month or every two months on average. However these last months have not been like the others, for those who follow me on Twitter or who are on the Discord server, as you already know, I've moved to another country. that is why the development of City Game Studio slowed down. The good news is that I was able to resume the development. Well it's end-of July already, and as promised here is the 0.31.0 update. So today on the menu we have...
Good morning, everyone, Many of you have sent messages of encouragement and thanks and I thank you very much for your support! This sudden visibility brought about by Domingo gives a certain boost to the development of the game. A big thank you to him and to the entire community that follows him! Without further ado, here is an overview of the changes that have appeared in the last 72 hours.
Good morning, everyone, Version 0.30.0 has been deployed yesterday but I wanted to describe the biggest changes with you. This version introduces new ways to monetize your games. You can sell your games in a conventional way, i.e. with a purchase price or a monthly subscription, and now you can make free to play games and get paid through advertising or microtransactions. The revenues are lower, but your fanbase will grow faster.
Hello folks,
A week ago the v0.29.0 has been released, and now comes the time of the v0.29.2. I did not make an announcement for the v0.29.1 because it contains only bugfix and optimization. But the v0.29.2 contains features!
You can now filter the released games to see which game is a money maker and which game is a money loser. You can also filter by fanbase, marketing campaigns and even updates, or a combination of all of those.
If you want to know all the changes, you can either read the Changelog or just launch City Game Studio and start playing.
Cheers

Hello world! City Game Studio is one year old. It's been released a year ago, and since then I kept working on it to deliver the best development tycoon game ever. And today, oh today, we are going to talk about the v0.29.0.
Hello, This is a small version that optimizes and improves the stability of the game (and also the localization thanks to the community)
Happy New Year everyone! The 0.28.1 version is, despite its name, a major version.
Hello everyone! I've been busy lately working on stabilizing City Game Studio and also optimizing its memory usage. It is another patch update, meaning still no new content, but a more stable and optimized game (and better de translations thanks to ekim1991). Happy holidays
Hello everyone! Thank to your feedbacks I was able to reproduce a nasty bug that make the online games really profitable. I spent some time fixing few other bugs, and balancing the Digital Store. It is another patch release, so only bugfixes for now Happy holidays!
Hello everyone! Thank you for all your feedbacks, this is a patch release, meaning it contains only bugfixes. The next version, v0.28.1, should be out for january/february. Happy holidays!
Hello everyone I'm glad to announce the v0.28.0 of city Game Studio. It includes Game engines, a new UI and yes, this is City Game Studio!
For the last 3 weeks I've been working on customization. I want you to feel like that company you created is yours. So I started with the company's logo. You can draw your own logo, use a prefab or even import a png image.
There are new floors and new walls. Also, the custom walls that you can place in your studio have been fixed and can be placed properly.
Also you might be tired of your employees' names, now you can rename them all!
A lot of changes have been done thanks to your feedbacks, via discord, steam or google form. So thank you all for your help, I will keep working hard on City Game Studio!
This is the biggest update since City Game Studio has been released. Gauges have been improved, and it is more clear how to handle them. Also you can now rename convention centre and filter emails.
I've been working on many aspect of the game. However I spent a lot of time optimizing City Game Studio. The game run smoothly on a 2015 laptop (without graphic card).
I also polished the game a bit by adding several animations. Broken items have now a visible smoke so it is easier to see which coffee machine is broken.
Now your employee will talk to you directly. They will tell you what they like and what they dislike. It will be easier now to know when an employee will quit.
Greetings everyone!
It's been 3 months since we released City Game Studio in Early Access.
During those months we kept working on City Game Studio, fixing bugs, adding new game genre, new themes, new features...
Finally today we release the Employee update!
Want to save on taxes? Want to boost your game's hype? Want to produce more?
No problem, let's hire an accountant, a marketing manager and a producer!
What about the studios? People who are working on other stuff, such as game ports, contracts or even post-mortems?
A human manager will help you manage your employees and will boost their happiness!
That's all for today!
Thank you all,
Binogure
I've implemented a new feature in a hurry last night... guess what it had few bugs. I apologize, I tried my best to test it, however I was not good enough.
Anyway, here you are, you've encountered few issues, so I've been working on it to fixes em all!
Good morning,
I'm excited, I've been working like crazy since mid-January with the 150 beta testers of City Game Studio.
The user interface has been completely redesigned, and it is gorgeous.
Creating a game is a pleasant experience. It is easy to compare different game consoles and computers (market share, game catalog size...)
Publishing a game with a publisher is more attractive, informations are immediately available and organized. Porting a game to several platforms is done in a few clicks, and it's even easier for post-mortems.
It's wonderful to see how the growing community is there and helps me a lot to make a game that meets their expectations and eventually go further.
I have talked a lot about the aesthetics so far, which is pleasant. Let's now turn to the balancing of the game.
There are already 2 people who have already managed to beat the game (-Captain- and Bright Glory). Congratulations to them, they scored over 2 Billion (which broke the counter).
City Game Studio is going early access in a few days, on 21 February, I keep working hard on it and hope you will enjoy the last minute changes Im doing!
Binogure
Happy new year to all!
I bet that just like me when you play a tycoon game you like to see beautiful animated charts! Since I've developped one for City Game Studio, I took few minutes of my time to open source the code[/ur] and create a chart-gd library, its free, and under the MIT license.
Did you notice that too? I redesigned the UI of City Game Studio, I hope you like it! Did you know that there are more than 60 game genres in City Game Studio? Well thanks to our brand new system you can new unlock them as soon as you have enough experience!
The government hid it from you for years, but in reality e-mails already existed back in 1976. We have proof of that (satiric)!
Finally we will talk about translating City Game Studio. More and more of you are helping me to translate the game into various languages.
Thanks to Skayo, LHPixel, menguele, MaximumOverflow, ErMANWood, mastermarkus, karpejev and Kloriun City Game Studio is available in French, English, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian and Ukrainian.
If you are eager to become a beta-tester of City Game Studio then join us on discord, our last beta phase will start in a few days!
That's all folks, we'll meet again in February.

Hey fellows game makers!
Have you ever wanted to create online games? Managing your own servers? Hang in there because you're going to have to follow the demand! Creating an online game has never been easier.
Competing studios feature has just been released! You will have to use logic to be able to anticipate them, buy them back and dominate the entire city! In the meantime if you want to gain more popularity you will have to deal with Ubihard, Circle Enix and the others competing companies!
It takes time to compete with other companies. Makeover your studios has never been that easy. It's wonderful what we can do with technology these days!
I put that here, I just like making appealing gifs steamhappy
Do you have trouble assigning your employees to their workstations one by one? Do you waste a lot of time updating all of your workstations across all your studios? Now you can assign all of your employees and update all your computers with a single click!
City Game Studio will be officially available on steam in no time! So it is time, if you want to contribute by suggesting new features, check out our Official discord!
And for those who want to help us, well talk about City Game Studio on your favorite social network (for us it's twitter).
And that's all for this month!
Binogure
We started the beta on October 31st and everything is rolling smoothly ! We are constantly improving City Game Studio's stability, not even mentioning your manifold suggestions. Most of them are now on our to-do list.
In a word, during the past few weeks, the game has been completely transformed. UI, graphics, hints, animations, everything is better ! For example, if it used to take just a good game to be sustainable, you have now a whole lot of buttons and parameters to be able to market your game.
We are making great strides for the game's development, and we will already be able to release the game anytime soon ! If you want to contribute with suggestions for new features, feel free to pass by our official Discord ! For those wishing to do a bit more to help, talk about City Game Studio on social medias !
That's all for this month !
Binogure
Wondering when City Game Studio is going to be released? Well it is settled for February 2019.
Indeed, we are currently working on the beta phase, it should be ready anytime soon. So join our Discord to get a chance to grab a steam key and to enjoy City Game Studio!
The real chunk of September has been the steam integration. We had to work on our own library to integrate Godot Engine with the Steam SDK. This fresh new library enables achievements, statistics, leaderboards and the workshop. We wanted to use an already existing library, however none of already existing ones was working, it costs us 2 extra weeks of work to create this library. Weve open sourced it under the MIT license and it is available for free on Github.
Not only that, based on your feedback, we have improved the user interface and the user experience a lot! Also since City Game Studio is cross platform we worked on improving performances and stability on windows and GNU/Linux.
During the last playtest session, players asked us where they can buy the game. Many of them are thinking that the game is ready enough to be available on steam now. Thank you for that feedback, it means a lot for us. You can help us releasing City Game Studio early by helping translating the game.
Much love from all of us at Binogure Studio! ( )

This summer, we conducted our first playtest for City Game Studio, thanks to the collaboration of the GamePlay Space, Montreal. We have had the opportunity to test the features already completed, mainly the early stages of the game. We were able to pin point what could be perfected and to confirm what can be considered done, but also to put to the test the concept of our game to a broad audience. And we were not disappointed! We met a heartwarming and motivating enthusiasm. Thank you to all the attendees!
Among the adjustments we made, the development progress animation have been corrected to be more entertaining in-between the different setting phases. The recruitment panel can now be sorted by skills or by salary. We also reworked completely the notification system : instead of pop-ups that would break the player’s experience when too frequent, we now have those spiffy little boxes flowing on top of the window.
On another topic, Binogure Studio is slowly becoming a topic of conversation. We hosted last week our very first interview! We met Mickaël from “Le Lien Multimedia” to talk about were the idea of City Game Studio came from, our development process, where we are heading toward and so many other things!
Thank you all for your support! You can follow us on Twitter to be updated of coming events, and if you have any question, feel free to pass by the Discord channel.
All the best,
Nimue
Hi everyone!
In over a month, we've made some real progress on City Game Studio's development. The tutorial is nearly done, so is the notation system, and we are advancing graphic polish here and there.
Next step is to implement cool music and sounds, and the whole marketing part. In other words, so far so good ! Everything should be ready for the closed beta in October.
In the mean time, we are participating to all kinds of events for preliminaries tests. If you pass by Montreal in the next few weeks, don't forget to check our Facebook page to know where and when to be to get a chance to try out City Game Studio.
Last but not least, we've open a dedicated Discord server ! Feel free to join us if you want to talk about our latest announcements, to share on other video games or just to check our impressive pizza meme collection. And bring on your friends, the more the merrier.

Thank you all for your support and for helping us grow our visibility !
