Hello folks!
It's finally summer, and so is the EMPOWER UPDATE!
Sit back and make yourself comfortable, because there are a lot of changes in this version!
We're starting with the little changes that make you happy. New logos for your companies, designed to make you want to use them. The tooltips have also been redesigned, meaning you can now deactivate the tutorial from a tooltip (I can't believe I didn't do that before).
Here's a little situation. You've been playing for two hours, the game is running smoothly, the last save was just a few minutes ago, and now boom you've created a new game by mistake. You want to go back, but you can't. Instead, you can quit the game by choosing to save or not. Now, it's a simple menu button to quit the game. I really should have thought of that before.
Anyway, let's get down to the nitty-gritty of the update: Twitch integration. After looking at what other management games have done with Twitch integration, I've come to the conclusion that it should be very simple to connect to your Twitch account. So, from the options panel, all you have to do is enter your username, click on a link, and paste the token into the game to connect City Game Studio to your Twitch account. Easy peasy. Your viewers can become your employees. They can become producers, developers, accountants - the choice is theirs. And you're free to hire or fire them. Once you've hired a viewer, he or she can display an emoji on his or her head with a simple command. Once you've hired a viewer, they'll be able to display an emoji on their head with a simple command. Plus, you'll be able to create polls asking your viewers to suggest names for games, studios, companies, buildings, consoles - in fact, just about anything that can be named in City Game Studio. I'm planning to add more features to this Twitch integration, but I'm waiting for your feedback to see what you think.
Steamdeck users have asked me to add an option to make the game's font larger, so it's in the options panel. In terms of interface, there are lots of little changes that make the game nicer. And above all, I have cleaned up the code that manages the interface, making it a little more efficient.
Did I mention the store? Because it's undergone a few changes. You can now furnish your studios as if you had no respect for your employees. Put in as many desks as the studio can fit. Well, your employees aren't going to be happy about this kind of feature, so I've added the ability to cheat by setting employees' happiness levels. Yes, it's cheating, but it's not mandatory and it's up to you to decide whether or not to activate it. Back to the store, I've also redesigned its interface to make it a little more pleasing to the eye. And personally, I find it much prettier.
Among the game's minor changes are the addition of the Ukrainian language, and the ability to press the "Enter" key on the keyboard for the DDoS mini-game. Two new components have been added when you create your console: new hard disks. And you can now erase the technical debt of your game engines, thus cancelling any malus associated with updating them.
For dessert, a few patches ( they're quite numerous.). Income from consoles you create is now calculated correctly. DLCs are now displayed in the financial table. Canceling the release of a console now cancels games that are supposed to be released on that console. Recruits were not being generated correctly, sometimes leading to strange bugs. Duplicating your savegame renames the company. The number of units sold on your consoles was miscalculated. I'll stop here, because there are more than 20 fixes in this update, and if you want to know everything, the best thing to do is start a new game that won't last too long, just say 5 or 6 hours to reach the year 2000!
I'd like to thank more and more of you for following City Game Studio's development, and keep on following the game, because the next update will contain a special treat. That's all I'll tell you!
Until then, take care.
Xavier aka Binogure
P.S:
For those who made it this far, I've started work on my next game, a revisited Monopoly with a voting system, a helicopter, a Wheel of Fortune and lots of other little things.

- Studio employee count: Due to the twitch integration. In fact an employee can get assigned to the same desk more than once because you can hire the same employee more than once. To fix it, unassign all your employees, and assign
- Canceling a custom platform doesn't cancel the attached games (add migrations)

The Game includes VR Support
City Game Studio GNU/Linux [524.68 M]
January 1975, you have created your video game company. You are renting a tight place that allows you to develop your first game. Quickly, your games are successful and you already have to move, but it is up to you to cross the city to pick up your next local. In the blink of an eye you are hiring artists to improve the visual aspect of your games. Next came developers and then testers. But a problem remains, even if your games are brilliants, you don't have enough fans to self-publish a big game to make your studio profitable. You will have to turn to video game editors who will carve out the lion's share. Combinating successes is the only way of getting rid of the publishers. Furthermore you will be able to publish your own publishing contracts. Then you will then be ready to dominate the market and buy back your competitors.
Each game is unique
Maps and studios are procedurally generated. Combined with random events and customizable studios, you will rediscover the game with each new game.
Assign the best studio
Browse the cities and choose the location of your next studio. As my uncle said "we do not hire new talents with vinegar !"
Furnish your studios carefully
Everyone is not a studio designer, yet every piece of furniture has its place in your studio, and can have an influence on the history of your company.
Publish, hire, repeat
Each game is unique, but over time new generations of consoles come out. You cannot create a bestseller alone. You have to hire new talents that will help you creating the perfect game
Game development
The development of the game is broadcast on twitch using the channel binogure.
