The development of this game is continuing, by short bursts.
Try to see what's new in this screenshot:
This new release fixes bugs with some maps such as the capture of the prototype one.
But most importantly changes the AI which can now fire and run at the same time.
Static MGs use tracers so they are now less powerful.
Levels have been modified to account for that.
It is now easier back again to hit with a rifle, and melee has been nerfed. AI will now try to evade melee.
Also other changes like grenade interaction with smoke, minor graphical changes...

Refactored Japanese campaign, New weapons, artillery, horses...
There will be a Russian campaign.
So all level have been reworked, some added.
For example the tank level has been changed:
Horses introduced:
Smoke grenades now deviate projectiles.
Artillery and staffing run grenades (yes the bullets are upside down, I've just noticed when taking the screenshot):

The new content will be leveraged more in the upcoming campaign....
Hello, This version fixes some bugs and makes dropped item disappear after some time. Item drop rate and HP regeneration has been changed to adapt to this. Tree and foliage now moves. Modders can use "procedural: true" in maps.json to have the map procedurally generated (experimental). This is an intermediate update before a big one (new campaign with procedurally generate maps and a new map with horses). Hello, This adds a 'laser dot' sight to help aiming. And the possibility to fire when running. Because of this the game is now more fast paced and easier.
Hello, After a bit of absence , here is a new update. It will come in the next few days. This update redesigns the campaign and adds more missions. Missions are now shorter and more interesting. * Redesigned campaign. Now all missions can be completed in about 5 to 10 minutes each. Added more maps. * Added sniper rifle with tracers. * Nerfed molotov cocktails and fire. * Added a more resistant unit type. * Fixed mortar AI. Mortars (and snipers) will now flee if enemies come too close. * It is possible for the player to angle his aim by holding the up or down movement keys while firing. * Various tweaks for the AI. * Tanks now fire HE rounds. New effects for tanks. * Rifle grenades travel slower. The other campaign that was promised will be a dynamic campaign with elements of turn based strategy.

Changelog : Units can retreat if in too low numbers (especially dogs). Units are no longer afraid of grenades thrown on rooftops. Fixed bug with flamethrower flame not hitting close targets. Controller support (In game only, no UI).

- Fixed bugs when trying to run a custom campaign.
- Added a custom campaign template (needs to be enabled by editing the campaign.json file).
- Added console output, run the game from the console to see it.
- Fixed wobbling objects when moving (crates,barrels etc).
- Reduced black vertical boundaries of maps and items can no longer escape.
So what's next?
It has been a slow year start, so expect more activity in the future. Still working on controller support, which is something that was requested. Will process inputs from the community to tweak maps and gameplay. AI will have more different behaviors, will differentiate dogs from soldiers. A new campaign will be created later, as planned. Linux version is done, just needs to be tested on steam before release, please contact me if you would like to be a tester.
