Heya peeps. Infinite apologies for the comically overdue update, and thanks to each and every person that has enjoyed the game, especially the vocal ones who have been asking for fixes for far too long. csgohelmet The final world is now unlockable once you complete the level PATHOS - there's 12 levels that have a 999 stepcount. Whoever posts a screen of the lowest steps will get their name added under the level in-game. There's been some modest visual tweaking to some sprites and backgrounds, as well as some QOL stuff. heart (some may have noticed the update dropping last week -- there were some bugs that leaked in from a nearby multiverse for no reason, so I wanted to wait until those were squashed before dropping this announcement) ss2heart For those that aren't aware, you can play thousands more levels and create your own at the thriving block-pushing community at https://pathology.gg ss2heart Full changelog below:
- Added 12 levels in a final world that unlocks when you beat the main campaign (PATHOS level).
- Removed the incongruous story elements, replaced with simple quotes only on select levels.
- Lowered the bits needed to progress to other worlds a good deal, especially early-game.
- Zoom adjusted so that it actually does something useful.
- Camera doesn't follow the player so aggressively, also lowered the bloom effect.
- New level backgrounds.
- Some tile sprites and textures have been updated.
- Added some slight particle effects to hole filling, ice sliding etc.
- UI is more consistent and organized.
- Added 'Rewards X bits' to each level description.
- Added a handful of new sound effects for moving certain tiles, updated some other sounds.
- Tweaked the names of a couple levels for various reasons, as well as world names (sorry for the people who made the awesome guides).
- Restarting the level is faster.
- Added indicator and sound when player can't move onto a space.
Heya folks. PATHOS is now free to download. If you paid for the game and wish to get a refund, send me a message at brett@itsmebrett.com and I'll get you squared away. Unfortunately, the source was lost for PATHOS years ago and I haven't been able to address some game-breaking bugs. I plan on releasing a much more streamlined, light and accessible version of PATHOS next year, free to everyone who already has PATHOS. Thanks for dealing with the jank and for still finding enjoyment in the game. - KingOreO
Hello out there in Steamland. Its been a couple months since PATHOS launch, and its about damn time we update this thing in a meaningful way. And so we did. Here are those changes elucidated:
1.Mac and Linux support
Apple and Linux users can now join the fun and ply their skill at PATHOS. Dont worry, you guys have plenty of time to catch up. Apple and Linux users can also access PATHOS progress tracking site to see where they compare to the entire player base.
2.Full Controller support
Controller support means you can lean back in your chair and experience repeated failure in comfort. Consider getting some replacements, because youll probably smash a couple.
3.UI tweaks
Weve made a bunch of quality of life changes to the UI too, in response to some of the feedback weve received. The result should be faster level selection and menu navigation, saving some precious seconds.
Beyond those fixes, the PATHOS soundtrack, pieced together by maestro Tim Halbert, is also available. Its great chill or workout music, but you probably dont work out. If you did, though, it would be a sublime choice.

More tweaks are in the pipeline for the near to medium future, including game translations, content additions and level editor, so hang around for a bit.

The day is here! A wounded mind calls for your puzzling prowess, for the guard is asleep at its post. More than 150 levels await, the knots growing tighter, hope dimming, desperation mounting. PATHOS is ready for all comers. Ready for the most logical, the most creative, the most persistent - there are many paths to PATHOS greatness, but only one path to the goal. Very soon, we will be launching a companion website to track and present various stats. With, PATHOS participants will be able to see how they match up to the rest of the field. We look forward to seeing who climbs to the top first. It will have to be someone in possession of staggering mental prowess. Puzzle on, PATHOSers!

Greetings handsome gamer. You like games? Cool, we got one. You've seen the trailer and the screens by now. You've read the description. You know what you're getting into. The only question left is - how much is this gargantuan wad of content going to set me back? We have answers.
It's mega frustrating when buying a game on Steam, only to see it discounted the next day without warning. We'd rather not put anyone in that position, so for the sake of complete clarity, this is how PATHOS' price will change with time.
Obviously, the standard disclaimer applies: This is the best snapshot of our current intentions going forward, but it's not 100 percent in stone. If one of us gets hit by a tractor right before the next Steam sale, there's a good chance we'll forget to hit the discount button.

PATHOS’s big day is almost here. We are officially launching on December 5th. Note, this is not an Early Access or incomplete release in any form. PATHOS is 100 percent content and feature complete, though content updates and additions are planned long term, as well as Mac support if feasible. We’re proud of this mind-warping behemoth and believe it will test even the mightiest of puzzling champions. And we’re excited to see who conquers PATHOS first. Whoever it’ll be, they’re probably in possession of a beautiful mind. Ask us anything and we’ll answer. See you guys on the 5th. PATHOS Official Soundtrack
Think of PATHOS as a play on the ol' sokoban style games. But instead of getting objects to their intended spot, you've got to get yourself past all those complicating obstacles, whether those obstacles are blocks, keys, teleporters, chasms or some sly board manipulation tricks. And every puzzle only gives you the moves you need - not one step extra.
There's a lot to muse about regarding PATHOS. Here's what intrepid puzzlers can expect:
150+ precisely crafted puzzles that wring every drop out of the developed mechanics.
No procedural tricks, no shortcuts, no nothing. PATHOS features a carefully thought out curve that is meant to gently ratchet the difficulty up, and this requires considered puzzle design and arrangement. Every single level requires a novel slice of perception, attention, logic or working memory. There are no wasted moments in PATHOS.
Mysterious narrative that challenges and provokes.
Ego's job, to the extent that a psychological aspect can have a job, is summoning and rallying his fellow aspects. Together, they forge through the crests and troughs that life delivers. Managing emotions, meeting obstacles, maintaining an uneasy homeostasis - that is Ego's burden. But, what happens when the burden becomes too much?
41 achievements, most discovered through deciphering verbal and visual clues.
Pictograms and riddles - you're going to need a pencil and paper, or an illuminated mind, to defeat most of these.
Secrets woven even deeper into PATHOS’ fabric.
Yes, if you want to 100 percent PATHOS, you'll need to play super sleuth. It may take weeks, months - it might take years to piece it all together, but there's something waiting at the finish line for the admirably zealous.
Powerful OST by Tim Halbert, with a definite earworm or two in there.
Halbert's a groove guru, and PATHOS' OST is something you can clean a house, paint a masterpiece or dance with your dog to. It also helps shake loose that latent mental acuity.
Global win tracking statistics for every level.
PATHOS is paired with a stat and progress tracking site where players can see how they size up against the rest of the field. Eventually, someone is going to get to the mountain's summit, and it's probably going to be lonely at the top.
