2x Loot Event Ending (+ some small dev updates!)
Hello fearless Spider Stompers! Friendly reminder to get those Caves of Fear runs in while you can: the 2x Loot Event ends tomorrow.
Last Sunday, we finished off our fifth StoneJam, a community-driven event that has once again brought us great minigames, crazy cosmetics, and unique UIs. Were also extremely happy to share that industrious players have completed TWO Bounties (Asteroids and Blackjack)! Some Bounties still remain and will continue to be open for any players to tackle. If youre interested in giving them a shot, take a look through this document. We encourage any and all curious players to try! Its been a few weeks since we dropped The Initiate, Stone Story RPGs 11th Legend. If youve been following our posts, you may recall that we originally said that the game would get 16 Legends. and youd be correct! Weve still got some Legends that have been sitting on the backburner. Theyre mostly done, we just need to finalize implementation of them in-game. We appreciate your patience as our team works on getting more content added. Its been quite a juggling act on our end, because were not just working on new content; preparations for the Stone Story mobile port are underway! Were getting the team together and discussing various factors that will affect work on mobile, including marketing strategy, budget planning, mobile player UX, and much more. Weve got plenty in the works for this game and dont plan on stopping anytime soon!

In a realm of perpetual evil, a single stone could change everything.
Stone Story is an RPG set in a dark and vile world. The game's fluid ascii art is painstakingly animated in plain text by a single insane game developer. The game has been in development since 2014 and is presently in closed beta testing. It features 8 locations to explore, 8 boss fights, mind-blowing ascii cutscenes and plenty of loot to discover.
The casual play contrasts with the retro visuals, providing a unique experience that blends nostalgia with modern design principles. One of the game's defining mechanics is that you have no direct control of the player character. You choose what items to equip, which location to visit and relax while an artificial intelligence does all the exploring, combat and looting. That doesn't mean this is an idle game. Potions and special abilities are maximized by good timing. Boss fights are intense and can keep you at the edge of your seat, requiring quick item swaps if the boss changes patterns. Additionally, an item crafting system allows you to combine otherwise disposable items--rewarding experimentation, giving you interesting choices and making full use of all the gathered loot.
Initial language support is English, Portuguese and Chinese. Further localization will be added based on regional demand.
