Bug Fixes
- Fixed some links.
- Fixed Player page salary display.
- For now removing highlighting on the league history page because it doesn't mesh well with the current table design.
- MSI history page 2nd knockout team display correctly now.
- For now removing Champion Synergy and Champion Counter pages until I make them more stable.
- Fixed 2019 LPL 1 & 2 seeds.
- Fixed 2019 LPL Groups using #1 seed twice (may be due to change above, so never was live).
- Fixed KDA and Tower Differential tiebreakers in standings and playoffs.
- The Standings page for Worlds w/ Ladder can get messed up after simulating a season (probably has something to do with the new filtering feature on that page). If you leave the league and reenter it seems to fix itself. I was able to simulate until 2030 without a problem it seemed. However, I wasn't able to pinpoint exactly when/where it would go bad. It seems to be due to the conference data getting corrupted somehow. It takes a while to test that league. So I am still working on it. If you happen to notice when/where it goes bad please do let me know.
Next Update
The next update will be on Sunday, April 5th. I'm still working through some of the suggestions I got for this past update. Sorry if I didn't get to yours. However, feel free to send more bug fixes and quality of life improvements. I may focus more on this for the next update.

Yearly Champion Stats
In the past league wide champion stats would just accumulate over the years. In order to better capture the meta changes I've enabled a dropdown that will allow you to view champion stats by year. I also added a score stat to better sort the top champions. It is a combination of games played and KDA. There is probably more that can be done here. So feel free to suggest new ways of looking at champion data that would help you particularly with drafting in Coach Mode.
Expanded Custom Roster Functionality
I took the most recent custom roster file: https://old.reddit.com/r/zengmlol/comments/eaqubn/2020_moba_gm_roster_update/fb1i7aw/?st=k5l40ep6&sh=7740b178 and I did some more testing on it. It is a Worlds file. Those should work for any game type (NA, EU, LCK, LPL, Worlds w/ Ladder). However, it was missing some information I was using to do that. So I cleaned it up. Those game types should now work with that file. Also, it should now work even better for other files that had been working. So if you are new and just want to play a quick game to learn, you can take that file and use it on an LCK league, for instance, to just play with those team. That league should play relatively fast. Alternatively, if you really want a challenge, you can also import it into the Worlds w/ Ladder game type so the top teams will have the real players.

Coming Features
Recently I've been more focused on making sure custom rosters work and making sure the game can be played many years without issue. That way users can get the most out of existing features and roster files. I still want to do more here in line with the recent updates. However, I'm hoping to soon start working on some more major features. Custom Rosters Work
I went through all the custom rosters that had been posted by users since MOBA GM's release in 2018. They all were working (loading and simulating). You can find a list of them here: https://www.reddit.com/r/zengmlol/comments/3xww1n/best_of_lol_gm/
Custom Roster Contract Bug Fix
One bug I found was with regards to contracts. This was fixed. So if you have used a file, and contracts were all really low, then you may want to try that file again. It also impacted future contracts since the minContract and maxContract global variables were off. So for those particular files this should be a big fix.

Best of /r/ZenGMLOL Updated I updated all the roster files that have been posted to our subreddit going back over a year in our "Best of" post. You can see it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/zengmlol/comments/3xww1n/best_of_lol_gm/ I also did a bug fix for 2018 files that don't have the game state included that broke for 2019. Those files will now start in 2018 instead of breaking. Real Champion Names You could always import real names. But I've decided to try just giving you the real names. This could change at any time should Riot or Steam request it. It is trivial for me to change it back. For now, both LOL and DOTA2 champion/hero names will come standard in any new league. I also changed the menu to better show that the standard option is LOL and that you can change it to DOTA2. Other Fixes 1) The Hall of Fame page should be more robust and should work for any league that had it broken. 2) The new 2019 Worlds with the expanded Wild Card teams had duplicate abbreviations. This made it impossible to view the roster pages, etc. of one of the teams. I've gone through and fixed a number of these. Next Update Next Sunday A few things came up that pushed back my schedule. So I didn't get everything I wanted done. To make it up I'm going to do another release next Sunday (December 15th). I'll be primarily focused on making sure all the "Best of" roster files work.

Champion Draft Fixes
The updated champion drafting I recently put into place to better handle champions that can be used in multiple roles could break when using the champion Executioner. The reason was there were actually two of these champions in the game (Darius and Draven). So the ADC version was changed to Executioner2 since people may be used to it already. The name changes only for new leagues. If you have an existing league you can go to Tools/Edit Champions. However, it only impacts Coach Mode leagues when the user selects those champions.
User Custom Roster Fixes
The subreddit ZenGM LOL had a few custom rosters recently that were not working for people. So I tested and sure enough there were some issues. The first one I fixed was: https://www.reddit.com/r/zengmlol/comments/dlaacy/lol_gm_worlds_roster_2019/ I believe it was based on LOL GM. For some reason the conversion to a MOBA GM file was broken. I fixed that. One of the team's region was also set to 000 instead of CIS. I fixed the game not being able to simulate with this issue. However, it also broke the Standings page among others. So on file import the game will fix this particular file's bug. For existing leagues (if you could actually import the file), if you go to Tools/Edit Teams and change the region the game should work better. I also reviewed two other files: https://www.reddit.com/r/zengmlol/comments/dle2vy/lol_worlds_updated_roster/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/zengmlol/comments/didato/lolgm_2019_rosters/ The prior fixes appeared to get these files working as well. A big thanks to the creators of these files. It is a lot of work. I will try to ensure files like these are working going forward and plan on reviewing even older files for next time in case there are other bugs I've missed. Performance Improvements
I tested all the major league types over 20 seasons and didn't run into any issues. So it makes me think the issues people are running into as early as 5-8 years may be disc size and generally computer related. So what I did was have the game automatically: [olist]
Options Page
For those who don't want to have players deleted or have box scores deleted I have created the Options Page where you can turn these features off.
Coach Mode Draft Improvements
When you create a Coach Mode league (versus GM Mode) you get to draft the champions for each game. Currently the game will then assign each of those champions to your players at the start of the game. Previously the method that assigned champions would sometimes handle champions that could play more than one role poorly. So the TOP might be the best at a champion but that champion was the only one that could JGL. So the real TOP champion might end up going to the JGL. Now the game will evaluate every possible champion/player combination and pick the best ones as a group. So the game should much better handle champions that can play multiple roles and allow flex picking much more successfully.

Bug Fix
For the Worlds only version without Ladder, if you didn't make the playoffs the League Dashboard would crash. This is now fixed. It was common to come across it when switching to a bad team. Also, because it is the page shown when entering a league it prevented users from using the league. Thanks for everyone who reported the bug and to /u/LiterallyToast in particular for sharing the file with the issue that led to the bug fix.

Champion Synergy/Counter Pages Updated
5/12/2019 You can now use a dropdown to select which champion/hero you want to view the synergy or counter data for rather than have it all displayed at once. I'm hoping this makes that data a lot more accessible. It also frees up a lot of space on those pages so they could be combined or expanded. Feel free to offer suggestions.

Bug Fixes
4/21/2019
- Made an adjustment that should help the game run smoother, but it may slow it down as well. This could be a game option at some point so users can adjust it depending how powerful their computer is. In my testing the current setting was the smoothest with the least speed penalty.
- Adjusted the Tools/Autoplay feature to be 1 year for the larger game types (Ladder, Worlds, Worlds w/ Ladder) so they would run smoother.
- Fixed an AI trade bug that sometimes stopped the game from running.

3/31/2019
- Champion name changes on the Edit Champion page now also change the champion patch data found on the Edit Champion Patch page.
- The 2nd champion style works again. There was an issue with roles in the GM Mode draft that is now fixed.
- Following up on the prior bug fix, I improved the AI logic in the Coach Mode draft so that the AI team better takes into account roles.
- The play menu better matches up doing weekly games during the regular season and daily games for the playoffs where there are best of games played against the same team.
Next Update
I want to spend another week doing more bug fixing, quality of life changes, and long term testing before I get back to focusing on new features. So plan on another update next weekend. Thanks!

This update is about quality of life improvements. There has always been a debate, since I created my initial version of this game, about how hard it should be to sign players. My view is without a draft the best teams stay the best. Much more like soccer's Premier League than the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. Without a draft format it should be extremely hard to make a team better. However, once you get better, it should also be much easier to stay better. So I've let players not resign, and refuse to sign, with weaker teams at a very high rate in the past. I just fixed a bug that resolved the difference compared to LOL GM. I then went further and adjusted how mood was calculated and impacted contracts. Going beyond that, I now give users the ability to adjust how hard it is to sign players when you create a league. So I think there is something there for everyone and as you get better you can challenge yourself as well.
Bug Fixes
- Teams starting hype based on hype used to create teams (this threw off free agency)
- Adjusted how player mood is calculated
- Adjusted how player mood color is determined
- Side and Top menus now adjust based on splits. So Spring Playoffs, Spring History, and Skip to MSI only show up for game types that have them.
- Standings now only show Spring Split if that game type uses it.
- League Leaders bug fix for both split game types.
- Edit individual team page better explains that conferences switches should take place in the preseason to have correct schedules.
- Correctly determine whether expanded ladder format is needed if users expand number of teams (with 10 or more teams in each ladder the game should use an expanded format for all ladders).
- Check rosters after AI trades to make sure teams are still balanced (this may slow the game down a bit, but rosters should pretty much always be correctly put together. May want to scale back based on feedback.)
New Features
- Added difficulty menu option. They range from Easy, Normal, Hard, to Impossible.
- Difficulty adjusts how likely players will refuse to sign with you. (this can be expanded based on feedback, but this is the core feature that makes the game hard)
- Added Difficulty to God Mode so users can change it for existing leagues.

You can now quickly create/adjust a player's OVR by changing the OVR directly. This was requested to speed up creating roster files. So I made that a priority. The big feature is there are now Coach Mode options. The initial options adjust early game aggression. Based on feedback I can always adjust how that was implemented. So please do give feedback on that. I should be able to fairly easily add more options there. So if you have ideas for what you want control over please let me know. The bug fixes were really focused on cleaning up importing files. It can be hard to spot every way that can break, while also supporting LOL GM files and transferring files from one game type to another. If you come across a way of breaking the file import please let me know and I will fix them as we find them.

The core new features are AI trading and the ability to add new teams at any time for new and existing leagues. To go along with the ability to add new teams you can also now move teams around from one conference to another as you wish. As with any new features, sometimes it is 2 steps forward and 1 step back. So please let me know if something broke along the way or if there are any bugs you come across. The Edit/Create Team Page could be expanded in the future. However, I'll probably be focusing more on making it easier to Edit/Create champions/champion patch data and expanding Coach Mode. That is my impression on what I'll working on next month, but that could change.

So I'm going to give myself some more time for the next update in order to try to get a more major feature finished. If that goes well that will probably be the new schedule. One of the most voted features was for adding regional awards. I focused on the top tier leagues (so no awards for CS and Ladder teams). However, since there is movement for the CS and Ladder teams, if you go to the Team Records page those teams may still have gotten awards at some point before falling down. Sorting by Region - All League gives a much greater feel for who the good teams have been, while sorting by All League gives you a better feel for the strongest region. On the whole it gives a much better feel for those larger leagues with 50+ teams. The awards can always be expanded more if there is interest. One possibility would be 2nd and 3rd All League teams for each region, but I wasn't sure if it was really necessary. I'm open to other suggestions as well.

The big focus this update was to give the user more control of the number of prospects and which regions they are created from. This should better help ensure long running leagues have enough players at each position for each region, which is good for game stability. It also should allow you to make any region stronger/weaker by adjusting the number of strong prospects available to those teams relative to the other regions. So now if you want to win it all with Turkey, because Turkey has become a hotbed of prospects in your league's world, you can without having to create a bunch of players for that region.
Bug Fixes
- Bumped region ratio to 2 for Wild Card region teams so that they have twice the prospects (this is to guard against having too few prospects, but also should allow the top teams from the Wild Card region to be stronger as well)
- Fixed synergy between Azir and Yorick.
- Fixed Worlds Groups seeding bug for Worlds Playoffs.
- Bumped up the number of players created initially and through prospect classes to better guard against too few players at certain positions for long running leagues.
- Regional Restrictions back to applying to only starters
- Made some adjustments so that Regional Restrictions will be able to focus starters better.

- Split playoff preview uses record for that specific split
- GB takes into account wins if winning percentage is tied
- Fixed team stats on league dashboard
- Changed CIS flag from Russian to CIS
- Cleaned up flag images so they work with all countries (even those not in the edit player feature, but you have to use a json file to add them). Specifically, this was for the Czech Republic because it had a space in the name. About 30 or so in total were adjusted.
- Standings country flag popup now gives country instead of region
- Removed a popup about the subreddit. I'm assuming most people that have MOBA GM know already about it.
- Fixed a bug someone had with a custom roster that may apply to other rosters.
- MAJOR BUG FIX: The game was using the synergy data to calculate counter win rate adjustments in game (but not for drafting). This is fixed and could be pretty significant difference in the game results.
- Game now works if you add new champions, but don't add synergy and counter data for those champions.
- Better handles too many players from other regions being on AI teams
- Better AI roster management as well (this was done in part due to the reduced free agents below)
- Fixed custom roster mode resetting if you reenter tools/God Mode
Features
- Added Custom Roster Mode Strength. You can now make rating differences matter more or less and to the degree you wish. This was added due to the custom rosters that were coming out on the subreddit and Steam. The ratings tend to be higher than the normal game. This can make the game seem more random. So using this can make the top teams stand out and still dominate.
- Reduced number of free agents/prospects (this was voted on so I added it here). This also required making the AI roster adjustments more robust since there are fewer players to work with. So AI teams should be better at keeping rosters in line as well.
- Added Malay language to edit player
- Added Indonesian country and language options to edit player (feel free to request other countries and languages)

Fully/Partially Existing Features That People Asked For
- If you go to Tools/Event Log it will give you all the transaction a team has had.
- If you take a Worlds roster you should be able to use it to create individual leagues (such as LCS) and Worlds w/ Splits w/ Ladder.
- If you take an LCS roster you should be able to create a Worlds league with it.
- If you want to use multiplayer the current feature requires enabling God Mode and using Tools/Multiteam. You can then control as many teams as you want. This allows playing on one computer with many people or sharing files to play with many people.
- If you want players to always be willing to sign with your team you can enable Tools/God Mode and disable Refusing To Sign (user). The reason why it is hard is because that is the main challenge with being a bad team from a GM point of view. The best teams get the best players. However, I do want to review this more to maybe refine it. For now this is one way to play as you wish.

The feature that was relatively easy and was also in a lot of demand was for the AI teams to offer the user jobs. So now at the end of the season you will get job offers from teams. It can also allow you to start over with a bad team for long running leagues without having to create a new league or use God Mode. Feel free to let me know if you see any bugs or want it refined.

I've got a few custom rosters that people want me to debug. I didn't get a chance to get to them this week. I'm hoping to spend a lot of time on that in the coming week. Next update will be Sunday the 22nd.

It should work on Windows, Mac, and Linux. The game has a subreddit where users report bugs, request features, and also post roster/team/champion files. It is working on Windows, Mac, and Linux using Steam now. I am going to keep the target release date as Monday, the 25th of June. I'll be spending this week fixing the remaining bugs. I'll give an update next weekend. It is still possible I could push the release date back a few days, but I'm thinking it won't get pushed back beyond June unless something really unexpected comes up.

I've got the Windows version working on Steam. However, I'm still finishing up getting the Linux and Mac version ready. I've submitted the Windows version for review. So that process has started. Steam also doesn't allow weekend releases. So combining all of that I'm thinking a release date around Monday, the 25th of June is looking the most realistic, since there are still some bugs that need to be fixed before it goes live. Hopefully we can make some good progress this week and I can give a more firm date next update.

Tomorrow I plan on finishing the Steam prep and submitting it to Steam for final approval to be released. That can take a few days. I'll be spending the rest of the week doing more debugging. It is very possible that it could be ready for release next week. However, I'm going to be safe and give the target date as:
Sunday June 17th.
If a major bug comes up I could push it back. If I finish debugging more or less before then I will look to add a few more minor features. So that is the tentative plan. I will probably be able to have firmer release date next week after I've spent a little more time debugging.

New Features
I added tier lists in the Champion Basic page so you will have some idea of how the patch is when starting a new season. I added a few God Mode options: 1) User is able to resign all players 2) User is able to sign all players 3) AI is forced to resign all players For custom leagues these will allow you to keep the league running longer in the same form it was created before players become more random. Release Status
I'm hoping near the near the end of the coming week I can start finishing up Steam release prep (having uploaded Linux, PC, Mac version approved for release and fixing 2-3 of the more critical bugs). Depending on how smoothly that goes I'll be able to get a better idea on a release date. However, I won't release until I've fixed any remaining issues beta testers have noticed.

I don't a firm release date yet. My main goal is to get all of the bugs fixed before the Steam release. I'll probably add a few minor features along the way as well. Major Bug Fixes
Trying to get LOL GM import/exports working threw off MOBA GM file exports/imports. I think I've resolved those issues. There was also a major issue that caused Synergy/Counter data to get overwritten when visiting those respective pages. This completely threw off picking/banning and the game simulation. This issue is now fixed as well. So overall I think things are getting much more stable.
Minor Features
I added God Mode options that let you turn off player position changes year to year, turn off retirement of players who are on a roster, and adjust the Korean % of the league. The game is currently being beta tested. I've been primarily focused on bug fixes the past week. I plan on getting all of those fixed before the Steam release. One feature that was added was to display the LCS/CS/Ladder in the standings for each split to better track promotion/relegation. I had been tentatively thinking about an early May release, but that is starting to look more like mid/late May based on my pace fixing bugs and having to go out of town. So I can adjust that based on how hard you think medium/difficult/impossible modes are. If it makes it way too easy then I can surely eliminate that. If something else is going on please let me know.

New Storefront
MOBA GM was Greenlighted almost a year ago. However, the Greenlight page was hidden unless you had a direct link to it. We have now activated our new storefront and will start posting updates here.
Uploading Files
You can now upload files from one game type and it will work with another game type. The key thing this does is allow for user edited Worlds files to be uploaded as Worlds w/ Splits w/ Ladder w/ MSI files. The game will populate the rest of the teams with random players. Some other cool things that can now be done is you can take an LCS file and import it into Worlds, Worlds w/ Ladder, etc. You can also take a custom Worlds file and use it for just the LCS. The only type that isn't supported is the LCS w/ Ladder. Mainly because the Worlds w/ Ladder has a different size ladder. So support for that could come later if there is interest.
Champion Synergy Page and Counter Page
In order to ensure someone without any MOBA knowledge can just jump right in to Coach Mode (where you pick and ban champions real time before a game starts) I created synergy and counter pages that display some information regarding every champion combination. It doesn't give the precise number, but more of a higher level view of it all. This hopefully makes the learning curve a little less steep. Of course, there is still a lot to figure out.
More God Mode Options
There were a few key areas I expanded God Mode. You can now: 1) Adjust the game simulation to make it longer or shorter (this feature can be expanded quite a bit if there is interest). This, of course, has a huge impact on how important the early/mid/late champion data is when picking and banning. 2) Adjust how well the AI does picks and bans for GM Mode. You can also override Coach Mode difficulty levels to make it as easy or hard as you want. 3) You can swap out the game's background for a solid green color (this can be expanded and should probably be put somewhere besides God Mode in the future).
