One of three incoming additions to the Fighting Fantasy Classics library, we're incredibly excited to announce Armies of Death! In Ian Livingstone's sequel to Trial of the Champions (book 38 in the old Puffin run), you must raise an army using your newly won purse of 20,000 gold pieces. The gamebook uses a new combat system to allow your troops to fight against multiple opponents, as you take the battle to Agglax, an evil Shadow Demon! As you will have noticed from the announcement art, we're incredibly honoured to have secured the rights to use the original cover artwork by Christos Achillos, who sadly passed away late last year. This is an iconic Fighting Fantasy illustration and one that many readers from 1988 will be familiar with. Release date is yet to be decided, as we are creating new interior illustrations for the digital adaptation. We'll let you know as soon as we know more.
