Patch 1.3 April 1st, 2019 Part 2

Nope, no april's fool! ;-) Kingdom

  • You can now enter the Global Map straight from your throne room. No need to run through the capital every time you're leaving the castle anymore!
  • Updated the tooltips for kingdom stats so that they reflect which advisor governs which stat.
  • Updated the titles of "train advisor" kingdom projects for convenience.
  • The throne will now adapt to the size of the ruler.
  • The artisans are now marked on the local map of their settlement.
  • The Sacred Grove building was too restricted by the requirement to be adjacent to the Monolith. Resolution: fixed, now Sacred Grove receives an additional bonus while being adjacent to the Monolith.
  • A successfully resolved ''Celebrity" event would keep reducing BP each turn instead of doing so once. Resolution: fixed.
  • After annexing Pitax, its citizens would all look the same and have no ambient animations. Resolution: fixed. However, not all the improvements will be displayed if the player has already visited Pitax.
  • Jamandi now provides additional BP if the player chose the Chaotic option at the start of Chapter 3 ("The Varnhold Vanishing").
  • In some cases, the Aviary didn't unlock upon reaching Rank 3 of Relations. Resolution: fixed.
  • One of the rank-up decisions in Rank 9 of Divine was not counted properly for the purpose of the final result in Rank 10. Resolution: fixed
  • During the first dialogue with the artisan Irlene, the player couldn't dismiss her. Resolution: fixed.
  • The Academy was depicted as 4-slot building while being a 2-slot one. Resolution: fixed.
  • The advisors pretended the player decided to exterminate the bulettes during one of the Stability rank-ups, even when the player opted for another solution. Resolution: fixed.
  • Some of the NPCs would appear in Pitax Town even after the player executed them in a kingdom event.
  • The UI incorrectly stated the reason for alignment change after one of the Community rank-up dialogues.
  • Projects to find Armag's tomb were not getting removed properly. Resolution: fixed.
  • Decisions made during the Military 9 rank-up dialogue didn't influence the epilogue. Resolution: fixed.
  • Removed the one-day delay between upgrading a building and it actually giving its stat bonuses. Classes & Mechanics
  • The Constricting Coils spell was incorrectly working on undead creatures. Resolution: fixed.
  • Kineticist's Shroud of Water armor and shield buffs are now visible on the character.
  • Kinetic Revivification worked on targets which were dead for more than two rounds. Resolution: fixed.
  • The Kinetic Healer and Healing Burst abilities no longer work on undead and constructs.
  • The Fury's Fall feat was recommended to characters specializing in Trip even if their Dexterity was low. Resolution: fixed.
  • The Crusader's (cleric archetype) Bonus Feat description incorrectly stated that crusaders receive up to 6 bonus feats when in fact they only get 5. Resolution: fixed.
  • Healer's Blessing of the Healing domain did not work. Resolution: fixed.
  • The Beast Totem gave a +1 natural armor bonus that increased by 1 at level 5, 9, 13 and 17 as Barbarian, instead of 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 Resolution: fixed. It now starts at a +2 natural armor bonus at level 6, improves to 3 at level 8, and so on.
  • Mobility skill checks during the Test of Pain in Armag's Tomb were asking to pick a character for an Athletics check instead. Resolution: fixed.
  • When put on auto-cast, the Stunning Fist ability would use up all the charges instantly. Resolution: fixed. Now it becomes unusable until the activated charge is used up.
  • Freedom of Movement did not protect from Grease. Resolution: fixed.
  • Dirty Trick - Sickened entangled the targets instead of sickening them. Resolution: fixed.
  • Hungerseed (Oni-Spawn) Tiefling heritage gave double bonuses to CMD instead of giving bonuses to both CMD and CMB. Resolution: fixed.

  • Monks were unable to take the Improved Blind-Fight as a bonus feat at level 10, 14, and 18, but could do so at level 6. Resolution: fixed, Improved Blind-Fight is now only available as a bonus feat at level 10 and higher.
  • Bard's ability Dirge of Doom gave opponents a chance to avoid it by a successful will save (it should just apply shaken to every enemy in range instead). Resolution: fixed.
  • The base ability of Kineticist's wild talent Slick incorrectly stated that it only affects enemies. Resolution: fixed.
  • The Entangled condition from Obsidian Flow could only be removed by a successful strength check. Resolution: fixed. It can now be removed by Strength, Athletics or Mobility check, and is removed automatically when not in combat.
  • Tristian's Angelic Form companion ability empowered spells instead of maximizing them and also lacked the appropriate wings. Resolution: fixed.

  • Lonely Warrior used to get a double bonus from Weapon Focus. Resolution: fixed.
  • Fixed a typo in the description of Hellspawn tiefling heritage.

  • Blight Druid's ability Plague Bearer ignored the 24-hour cooldown, applying the nauseated condition anyway. Resolution: fixed.
  • The Thundercaller Bard's ability Storm Call did 5d6 damage before level 14 and 3d6 after, instead of the other way around. Resolution: fixed.
  • The Resistant Touch ability of the Protection domain lacked a description on the action panel. Resolution: fixed.

A friendly reminder: while we deeply admire the contribution that mod authors make to our game, we would like you to remember that running custom modifications can lead to unexpected bugs and crashes. Unfortunately, if you encounter any issues while playing with mods, our team will not be able to help you. If this happens, please, report these issues to the mod's original creator. Also, remember that after each game update, there is a high probability of previously installed mods not functioning properly. If you wish to play with mods anyway, disabling auto-updates might prevent your save files from becoming corrupted.

  • With the help of over 18,000 Kickstarter backers, Narrative Designer Chris Avellone and composer Inon Zur, Owlcat Games is proud to bring you the first isometric computer RPG set in the beloved Pathfinder tabletop universe. Pathfinder: Kingmaker puts you in the role of a brave adventurer fighting to survive in a world beset by magic and evil! Take on the role of a canny fighter hacking through enemies with an enchanted sword, a powerful sorceress blessed with magic by the hint of demon blood in her veins, a wise cleric of gods benevolent or malignant, a witty rogue ready to defuse even the deadliest of traps, or any of countless other heroes. The only limit is your imagination!

The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game is an evolution of the 3.5 rules set of the world's oldest fantasy roleplaying game, designed using the feedback of tens of thousands of gamers just like you. Whether you’re new to the Pathfinder® universe or you’re a seasoned veteran, Pathfinder: Kingmaker® is the CRPG you’ve been waiting for.

Pathfinder has considerable depth, not only in its lore, but also in its game mechanics and the freedom it offers to develop your own unique character. You can customize your character with a wide range of classes and powers including specialized archetypes, powerful arcane and divine spells, choosing from a multitude of class abilities, skills and feats. Pathfinder allows players to create heroes (or villains) that fit both their individual gameplay styles and their personalities.

    The Story

To the north lie the Stolen Lands, a region that has been contested territory for centuries. Hundreds of kingdoms have risen and fallen in these lands, and now it is time for you to make your mark—by building your own kingdom! To do so, you’ll need to survive the harsh wilderness and the threat of rival nations… as well as threats within your own court.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is based on Paizo’s award-winning Pathfinder Adventure Path of the same name. You certainly don’t need to be familiar with the story, but if you are, you will encounter characters you know and love as well as a host of brand-new events, companions, allies, and threats that expand and enhance the original Adventure Path. With help from Paizo and their authors, the story and quests have been expanded by RPG writer Chris Avellone and the Owlcat team, allowing for even more adventure in the already rich narrative of the Stolen Lands.

While Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a single-player game, you won’t be adventuring alone. Kingmaker features a diverse cast of companions and NPCs, including iconic characters from the Pathfinder setting itself. You’ll need to decide who to trust and who to watch carefully, as each companion has an agenda, alignment, and goals that may differ from yours. Your journey will become their journey, and you’ll help shape their lives both in the moment and well into the future.

    Your Kingdom

We chose to adapt the Kingmaker adventure path because it features a host of open-world mechanics, allowing players to experience the story at their own pace as they explore the Stolen Lands, which will challenge you as both an adventurer and a ruler. Most importantly, the game allows you to claim these lands as your own, letting you carve your own kingdom from the wilderness. While classic dungeon crawling and exploration lie at the heart of this adventure, diplomacy, politics, and the ability to lead troops in the field are also part of the challenge. Choose your allies well, and keep them close while exploring ancient tombs and ruins — and while dealing with politics in your own court.

As you’ll discover, building a kingdom goes beyond simply building a stronghold: Your kingdom is a reflection of your character and your choices throughout the game. It is a living thing shaped by your alignment, your allies, and your ability to lead your people. Not only can your kingdom expand, opening up new territories and allowing you to build new towns and communities, but your capital city will physically change based on your decisions, your policies, and even whom you choose to ally with. As your kingdom grows, a number of factions and neighboring countries will come to you to seek favor—and to test your strength.
