Anomaly update

Months of hard work at long last crystallized in a substantial update for players to enjoy! With new areas, mechanics, enemies and improvements to game throughout, Anomaly update is a lot of fun. Thank you so much to the community for playtesting, feedback, reporting issues and suggesting improvements, I couldnt make it without your invaluable input! Keep it coming!

Anomaly update entering final stages!

At last, all mechanics and designs are in place! Here's a few new GIFs showing new mechanics and big enemies.



Spiker enemy crawls on walls and ceiling






Cryo remnant miniboss




Voltaic remnant variation




Defense remnant variation




Stationary warpers will spawn enemies if you're nearby!





Gravity discharge wave will come on periodically, so keep to safe areas or localized stabilizers. There's even a "Portable" one.

Return to Anomaly

Hello and welcome back to Anomaly!

Its time to get a peek beyond those gates.
Heres a few WIP mechanics and enemies of the expanded Anomaly.


New MagWalls that allow you to walk on walls!


They're movable! Get ready to solve some placement puzzles ;]


Gravity wells got a fancy upgrade too


New enemy, some kind of anomalous spawn! It can conjure up gravity a vortex!




This one will fly, crawl on walls, have varying attacks. Beware!


Maybe just let them duke it out!

TURMS Update is live!

MegaSphere update with new areas, enemies and mechanics is now available!

Update test phase 1!

Here's something for the players who want to get into early builds!



New TURMS area is finally is out in development branch (pinned post explains how to switch). New mechanics, visuals and area design in place, with final polish coming later (expect some missing/temporary sounds and dialogs).



It'd help me out if you try new update and new content specifically, and post feedback on the forums, discord (https://discord.gg/wrmJUyU) or send it directly to me via email: antonkudin@me.com).

To access new content directly: start up the game, select 'New game' and switch to 'Hacks' tab. From there, top backup will load you up right before TURMS area, as you and Novikov are about to board it from Habitation.

Several sequent backups are shortcuts throughout the new area (its pretty big), in case you get lost or stuck.

Work over last few months

Sorry updates are scarce lately, but development is still progressing and lots of work is being done every day.

This new update expands on story, adds several new enemy types, updates to enemy behaviors, props, etc. Still some work to be done before it gets out into public testing, but its very close!

Hibernation in testing!

ICYM, I've been working hard on adding a way to stop/resume the game at almost any point and its called hibernation.



If you want to try it out, switch to development branch in steam, give in a spin and report back here or in the forum!

Good news! A way to instantly save current game is almost here!



Hibernate your current backup anytime you want to take a break, but don't want to search for a backup station. Due to procedural nature of the world generation, some things aren't saved, but any destruction, enemies, open doors will be saved. That said, I'm working on making it as seamless as possible.

While my teammates are finishing up text and audio assets, i've been busy fixing a couple annoying issues, adding bits of content (rooms/layouts, moving platforms), improving starting area.

Shops will sell anything, not just weapons
Swarmers exclusively drop upgrade tokens

Bug fix update!

New builds are up (for every branch, demo included).

Notable changes:


  • Removed trailer (will be replaced with in-game cutscene in the future)
  • Skippable cutscenes (Hold Jump (Space by default))
  • Controller support: any os, any controller.
  • Fully configurable controls, up to 4 bindings for any action.
  • Removed a brief period of invulnerability for enemies and objects when they take damage
  • Rebalanced rapid-fire weapons and Flamer to match DPS.
  • Removed tutorial section (something more fun, but similar will appear in the beginning of Anomaly)
  • Fixed a few ugly bugs

I've made a separate branch with most recent build, includes a few fixes and requested features.

To opt-in to those, open MegaSphere properties, click Betas and select Development from the drop down.
