Hi, we've been working on a new game, a micro twin-stick shooter roguelike:
Nebula's Descent.
You should wishlist it. It's out later this summer. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2387350/Nebulas_Descent/ https://youtu.be/Md8DcMFEgsM

Hey, so I don't know if the announcement reached players of our other games, but I made a pretty cool interactive horror flick of a game, I'd say it's the most "complete package" game I've released so far. Feel free to check it out and buy it if it interests you! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1417730/Coffin_Mall/

Hello, As you know, DollKart's online functionality is defunct and it cannot be updated. This doesn't mean that new things haven't happened. Steam has recently introduced the "Remote Play Together" feature. This allows you to play 2P mode over the internet with your friends, even if they don't own DollKart(though they should). 2P mode is something special as it's what the game was originally designed around, but the main issue was we couldn't get it to work online. Now thanks to Valve, it works. Grab a friend and give it a whirl! Do note, you need a pretty fast connection and there is no matchmaking of any sort. This isn't an official online mode, sadly. It still does work and it still is fun though.

Hello! Long-time, no see. I feel suddenly responsible to give DollKart's current and future playerbase some closure, also providing some dev retrospectives. So here goes. About DollKart DollKart was always a student project and more of a tech demo of procedural generation and physics prowess than anything. We threw it up on Steam because well, it was fun. It lacked polish, looked and to this day looks rudimentary, was perhaps hard to the point many thought it wasn't intended but instead was a manifestation of incompetence. Despite the plentiful negative responses, it was overall received positively and we had a lot of feedback, and a couple of updates later the game became something I can look back on a year later and smile at, with improvements on everything from polish to physics to the core gameplay loop. We still play 2P mode with friends as a drinking game. The multiplayer broke again. I don't know what made it ever tick because it seems to break on its own a certain while after every update. In retrospective springing for multiplayer as a feature was a mistake because that dev time could have been used to have a better launch since even when it decided to work, we never had enough players for the multiplayer to matter anyway. I guess it's live and learn. As my last future plans update made clear, DollKart was already basically slowly but surely headed in the direction of the projects I toss aside to focus on newer ones. It has been a while since it hit that pile. Besides this, due to a lot of boring reasons, the Unity project files for DK cannot be recovered in a working state. As much as I am a nerd for memories and preservation, I can't even save DollKart's files, let alone work to develop it any further. So this post marks the official end-of-life for DollKart. DollKart 2? This is sort of tongue in cheek of course, but my latest release was a redux and PC port of my first ever game and it turned out amazingly, I can't say I never consider a second DollKart with a ton more polish, more forgiving gameplay, more content, actual AI etcetera. I love driving and racing games and have tons of prototypes on my HDD that don't involve karts or dolls. I'm simply looking to move forward and not just stick to the same ideas over and over again, it's not like there is a big group of people demanding DollKart 2, but that doesn't mean we won't make other racers and/or eventually return to the idea of ragdoll-survival-kart-racing

Hello, As you may have realized from my lack of communications, DK is nearing end of its support, however OKSoft is definitely on more and newer projects, if you want wind of those, or just wanna have a nice chat, join our discord. https://discord.gg/fZUu4Hm See you there!

Hello, I've cooked up a quick surprise update for DK, you can now switch the game to be played in first person with the C button. I've also updated the store page with translations to German, Dutch, and Romanian. Finally, I've updated the credits to include the translators and a few extra people who've been helpful to the game's development. Finally, the game should be available at 50% off as a part of the weeklong sale starting in 2 hours, now's the time to buy if it's been waiting in your wishlist.

EDIT: this is a reminder to visit the OKSoft Discord, everything made by me and friends under OKSoft will be shaped, teased etc. there. So, I should be working on studying for tests. Let's write an update post. What's next for DollKart? To be honest I feel that DollKart as it stands is a really complete game, especially with the last update. I do see myself making a couple improvements and this is about those. If and when I get the time to do so, I'll release an update with all of these. Size Reduction DollKart uses massive sound files, I could easily compress these, which'd not lower the sound quality. I could also delete the old unused code, models and textures. This might even halve the game size, but who cares. It's a PC game on steam, no one is gonna struggle with downloading 140 MB. I'll eventually do it Cheat Codes Cheat Codes are fun, I want to eventually add them, it'd be nice. Please recommend some in the comments of this post. Again, this isn't necessary, I will make it happen for the sake of my enjoyment when I have the time.

DollKart leaderboards are now publicly available and ready for players to try and dominate Here Multiplayer should also work better now.

Hello, we've released a major update to DollKart.
Content Additions
- Added currency system and shop From this update on, every point you earn in DK's single player and all points earned by player 1 in split screen will count as one credit. These credits can be spent in the shop to unlock customization and upgrades in the shop. These upgrades/items do not apply to 2P. - Added the following items to the shop for unlock: FWD Kart - A yellow, front wheel drive kart. Makes 0 sense, easier to drive than RWD(stock) but if you lose grip, you are gonna have a bad time. AWD Kart - A purple all-wheel drive kart. More akin to a Formula Student car than kart. Weighs extra but is still by far the fastest kart, will have a hard time turning on the throttle, however. Jump - The old multiplayer jump is now an unlockable ability, can be used for amazing stunts and save you from death. Massive Wing - Totally useless in game and will get you called a ricer. But in the end, it will be you who has the massive wing. - Added Steam leaderboards Your high score in DollKart will now be tracked via a Steam leaderboard, so you can see how you stack up against the rest of the world - Added a New map for Multiplayer The promised sandbox map is now available for play in the MP section of the game.
Changes
- Lowered keyboard steering sensitivity and slowed down loss of grip due to popular demand, the karts are much more controllable in keyboard play - Halved win distance in 2P mode - Fixed singleplayer countdown timer going below 0 - Changed kart undertray collision geometry in order to lower the "snag" when corner cutting or going offroad - Fixed music automatically starting muted - Upgraded the engine from Unity 2017.1 to Unity 2018.2.6, this should improve multiplayer stability, FPS and many minor details - Increased MP playercount to 12 - Minor bug fixes

Hello! So, we've been receiving feedback and data and we've been listening to it. We decided to plan a big update, due right at the end of August, fittingly called the Back To School update. Feel free to jump on the discord as we will be taking votes as to how some parts of the update will work. The update will include: -A big new sandbox map for all of our gamemodes. This map will replace the MP map and be an option for the offline gamemodes. -An increased MP playercount. -Unlockables based on your score that will effect how you play DK. This includes new go karts, a jump ability and a massive wing. -Steam based score leaderboards. -Various minor improvements and fixes.

Hey, the lead dev and the guy in charge of keeping the game going here. I hope that everyone who bought/received DK is having fun and not regretting their purchase/download. It's still surreal that I have released a full game on Steam. I want to thank anyone that supported us and the game, I'll probably provide all current owners the next few OKSoft games for free. I've made and pushed out a Linux port, which should be in working order. There's also a discord I set up for the game (https://discord.gg/fZUu4Hm), which will later be updated as we(or I) make more games and updates to DK. Please join, we're nice peeps. So all of these good news have to come with some bad. As much as I would love to constantly work on PC games, it's college application season for me and I'm now the only one actively looking after DK, a feature complete product. I'll be making any updates that are necessary for DK and working on some side projects. However, big content updates and other games approaching the sheer scale of DK currently just won't be a thing as I can't spare the time for it.

🕹️ Partial Controller Support
Handling
The physics engine is roughly a simcade, mirroring real go karts but adding a lot more speed to them(because if you aren't almost dead, you're not having fun). The game is enjoyable without being a good driver, however, if you want to do good, you'll have to drive skillfully.
Single Player
In single player, your goal is to score as many points as possible by driving quickly through the tracks. Game's over when you fall off the track, your ragdoll character falls off the kart or when you run out of time(or all of these at once, if you're really bad).
Split Screen
In the split screen mode, your goal is to outrun one another on the same difficult tracks as before, dying or falling off the track means losing instantly.
Online
The Online multiplayer gives your kart the ability to jump and pits you against 3 more players in an arena with the sole goal to be the last survivor.
Soundtrack
We have a soundtrack of 8 songs ranging from relaxed synthwave to gritty metal for you to do your driving with, the songs are played in random order and can be skipped or muted in game.
Future Updates
The game will be supported in terms of bug fixes, minor updates etc.. More content updates are possible, but if they will happen depends on community enthusiasm and size. The game as it stands is stable and final, especially for the offline modes. The multiplayer may need some minor fixes and changes over time.
OKSoft
We are a group of 4 Turkish high schoolers who enjoy games and STEM. This is our first PC release. We've gathered together under the context of a school project to make this game come to life. OKSoft normally operates as a one-person team, but this project needed the expertise and help of more. Future games may be made by the founder alone or with external help as this project was made.
We hope from the bottom of our hearts that you will find enjoyment and hours of fun in DollKart. Feel free to contact us for any opinions, ideas etc. on the game.
