Helona Character

Just wanted to share something with you guys. For those of you who've finished the game, you'll recognize where this guy's from. I've imagined creating entire games about the other lands outside Lamia but for now it's just concept art.

Game on Sale

Hey guys, once again thank you for following the game! Wanted to let everyone know the game's on sale for 50% so would be awesome if you spread the wordːsteamhappyː Also wanted to beg the community for some more reviewsːsteamsadː I'm greatly appreciative of Steams review system and understand the positive side of negative reviews. The players who have given my game negative reviews however don't seem to invest very much energy toward trying to understand the game from a constructive perspective. I say this because the bulk of negative reviews seem to be less than a paragraph and site very little details about the games purpose or comparison in its genre. I'm not saying remove those reviews, just hoping someone out there understands where I'm coming from and can help me stand up against it with some positivenessːsteamhappyː

Wanted to thank everyone for following!

Really appreciate it! I follow the discussions closely and wish I could have everything done overnight. I have so many ideas for the Land Of Lamia and on top of adding some cool features to this chapter, i'm looking at ideas on how to get the next chapter funded and created with a budget to include some (next level) features. Wanted to thank you all for being patient with me as I'm still just a single person team. Also wanted to ask if you could write a review for the game?ːsteamhappyː I'm a little light on reviews and could use a boost! also, if you like the game, please share it with a friendːHecshː even one more follower means a lot to me ːsteamsadː Cheers! Development video

Wanted to share with you a development video I created. Gives a little of my background, talks about the game and also some of my perspective on what games are as an art form. Hope it's inspiring to anyone who hopes of becoming an indie developer in the future:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veyvueQWipk

New video displaying game play mechanics.

Hi everyone, thanks again for being a part of this. every day brings new challenges but I'm getting good feedback and doing my best to improve things here and there. Recently I got some really good feedback about my presentation of the game on the store page. I created a demo level in order to create video of the game mechanics is a clear way. It's now posted on the store page and I hope you enjoy! Thanks for your support and please help spread the word. Nathan Sisler

Final Release on Monday!

Well, it's been a long journey creating this game. For those who haven't figured it out, I'm a single person developer. Well, not sure if I'm allowed to say that, I did everything except Sound, and Character animation because if I did those things, the game might look and sound like a robot. Big support for my sound girl Daria Kondrakhina, and character animator Mike Walters. I'm really proud of this game, proud of myself for finishing what I set out to do, proud of humans for creating these tools to build it, thankful to Steam for Green Lighting me! However, the story is far from over. Thomas and Lily are still trapped in the land of Lamia. Will they ever make it out? who knows, I hope so..

New feature for Level 1

I've gotten a lot of good feedback about the difficulty of the game and while going through components, I realized I had some large colliders on the characters for the first level. I made some big adjustments which simply softens the difficulty for the level. Level 1 still looks and feels the same just plays more fluidly. I also added a feature which emits a sound cue in level 1 when you are near danger. Other updates include: updated the animation for the opening part 2 implemented an animation from my character animator Mike Walters. Also added sound effects and music throughout the game from my sound girl Daria Kondrakhina. The game is around 98% complete and very close to final release. Still completely playable to completion, just want some players to play it through for minor bugs.

First update

Hi everyone, thanks for following The Land of Lamia. I've gotten some really good feedback about the game and taken the opportunity to add the following: -Press any key to skip intro or cut scenes you've already watched. -Updates to sound, new music. -Fixed annoying bugs. Game is still playable to completion! Only reason the game is currently on Early Access (aside from minor polish) is I'm still looking for some passionate players to attempt to finish the game and give some honest feedback about the whole experience. This game in its current state has some puzzles which really make you think, the kind of thing I really love about adventure games. I know I'm a rare breed in gaming and hope I might communicate with someone who understands what I'm going for but also the general Adventure-game demographic's taste. This game was inspired by some of my favorite fantasy movies from the 80's but I've come to realize this game's greatly inspired by one of the masters of this genre Lewis Carroll. So if that kind of story and riddles appeal to you, please give this game a try!

  • Public Linux depots

  • Imagine you're 8 years old and you have a little sister who's 6. You wake up one morning to discover your bedroom has been transported to a strange world. Odd looking plants have grown through the floor while you slept and an unsettling fog surrounds you. Outside you see a complicated path, and massive creatures made of stone. A feeling strikes you, you have read about this place many times. You rush to your bookshelf and pull down a book called The Land Of Lamia. You quickly turn to the chapter that describes where you're at and start looking for clues about how to survive.

Each new level has a new picture and description of the world from the book of Lamia. Use the book to learn about the world and solve the puzzles. Control the characters Lily and Thomas using a unique control system. Learn about why you're there and what eerie presence may be watching you.

    (Developers note,

The Land Of Lamia is a story driven puzzle adventure game. However, the story revolves around two characters (Lily and Thomas) who you'll be controlling simultaneously with a unique mechanic. As expected, the players who like this mechanic, Love it! and would like it to be harder and emphasized, others find it colorfully frustrating. Eddy Games is very interested in constructive feedback both positive and negative but respectful.)
