How many genres can one game belong to? We would have prefered all of them, but you’ll just have to settle for most of them. UnderMine stirs a delicious pot of genre soup, taking only the highest quality ingredients from each. We took the procedurally generated madness of the craziest rogue-likes (Binding of Isaac, Dead Cells, etc.), combined that with the exploration and discovery of classic action-adventures (The Legend of Zelda, Hyper Light Drifter, etc.), and topped it off with some light RPG progression and story (Rogue Legacy.)

Features:

Dungeon Crawling: Forge that perfect run where you find all the right items, all the right secrets, and get all the right rolls to become a peasant god of destruction.
Discovery and Exploration: Bomb walls, blow up rocks, light torches, and discover secret passages, hidden characters, loot, upgrades, and more.
Character Progression: The peasants keep dying, but your upgrades pass on. Unlock new abilities that will help in combat and open up new areas to explore.
Bosses That Don’t Mess Around: Challenge enormous bosses that take a combination of upgrades and skill to take down.

Darkly Lighthearted

Experience the plight of the poor peasant sent into the goldmine. His job is to labor away for a boss that doesn’t care about him, in an environment that is openly hostile, and amongst creatures that want to tear his flesh off his bones. A pretty funny situation when you think about it.

Sylphs Absolution ability now correctly reduces the cost of Penance
Tariffs now correctly double all costs rather than tripling them
The minimap now more reliably shows an open chest icon when youve collected the relic from the relic room
Fixed a rounding error when calculating your retained gold after a run
Fixed a bug in the Halls wave encounter related to destroying the sign before pulling the lever
Cursed torches can no longer curse enemies
Aegis no longer plays its proc sound when healing
Cell doors now trigger Haunted Locks
Fixed several input bugs related to falling down a pit while dead
Oil can no longer longer spawn on pits
Shop pilfers no longer get stuck if you buy their item before theyre done setting up
Mushroom babies are now much less massive
Firebird can now reliably hit Noori
Black Rabbits lever game chest spawn position has been fixed
Cooking re-rolled food now gives you the correct cooked food type
Fixed some damage calculation bugs with the Knight and Archer Pendants
Fixed a bug with KeyBlade that caused it to not recalculate its damage after drinking an Impish Key Bomb

Balance

Toughness now increases maximum health by 30
Minor Frailty now decreases maximum health by 30
Major Frailty now decreases maximum health by 60
Firebird's fireball now deals 50% of the peasant's throw damage rather than 100%
Firebird's fireball ignite damage is now based on the peasant's throw damage rather than swing damage
Fire Attunement now increases fire damage by 50% rather than 100%
Electrical Attunement now increases lightning damage by 50% rather than 100%
Nikko now deals 50% of the peasant's swing damage rather than 100%
Shadow's Fang now increases crit chance by 50% of base rather than 100%
Selt now takes 50% fire damage
Mortar now takes 50% lightning damage
(Bosses will be added to the journal soon so that players can see their strengths and weaknesses)
Warpaint now caps at 10 stacks
The maximum discount granted by Loyalty is now 80% off

Other Changes

The Djinn now gains experience from exploring secret and hidden rooms
Lowered the experience thresholds for the Djinn to level up
Non-16:9 resolutions are now available in the options menu. This change is to better support for older MacBooks that cannot run in 16:9 resolutions, but we still recommend running in 16:9 whenever possible
The simulation now pauses while you pick up a relic, blueprint, or artifact
Potions now remember their HP between pickups. This means that each potion can now only be re-rolled with Transmutagen Blast at most 4 times before breaking
